Pigs have been made socially acceptable, not only as food, but as family members. There is a reason for that as well… one day very soon, you may find yourself with siblings that are MORE PIG than human. Science has no idea what they are doing or what consequences they may incur. Please tell me, do you have a clue what to do with a pig who talks to you? Or worse yet, cannot talk, but by their very appearance you know inside they are tormented. They have a mind, a heart and a soul. What are they thinking? Ask any transsexual what torment it is to believe that you are trapped in a body not meant for you.

Mini Potbellied Pig Miniature Potbelly Pigs are playful petsfun funny amazing and Pigs Are Awesome: Compilation
If you check out the video that follows (The Truth About Micro Pigs), you will learn that pigs do not really make very good pets and mini pigs do not remain miniature. Pigs, like any animal, can become very menacing! They can become sexually aggressive and due to their size, they can be dangerous. In their natural surroundings, pigs vie for domination, they are accustomed to a hierarchy where the strongest dominates and all the rest are submissive. So they are constantly testing to see if you can hold your position. People should realize that pigs have actually been known to EAT people! Pigs are not really meant to be household pets and many neighbors will not be particularly fond of the idea of having barnyard animals living in their neighborhood. There are many cases of pigs biting off peoples digits. What would you do, if your pig bit off your neighbor’s fingers? Or, your child’s? OR, if it decided to eat someone’s pet or their baby???

Go ahead, Google it.
When you do, your search for “teacup pigs” will produce the following results: “We specialize in cute, happy and healthy miniature pigs, micro-mini pigs and Juliana pigs!”
Scroll down a bit and images of piglets nestled within mugs and other random bits of pottery appear alongside such slogans as “We have some of the smallest teacup pigs in the world!”
All of this mostly makes me want to throw up.
I know it sounds harsh, but here’s just a smattering of the reasons why the concept of a teacup pig turns my stomach:
The Paris Factor
Also referred to as “dandie pigs,” “mini potbelly pigs” and “pocket pigs,” these teacups have become increasingly fashionable over the past decade.
Enter celebutante Paris Hilton, whose penchant for accessorizing with pets took a detour toward the porcine with her purchase of a tiny piglet in 2010.
Here’s what she told Hello magazine back then: “I went online and found these tiny teacup pigs that stay under 12 pounds when they’re fully grown. They’re incredibly smart, lovable, really clean and litter trained.”
And here’s a photo of Paris with her “ultra teacup royal dandie piglet” in 2010.
All of this, of course, added kindling to the concept of impulse pig purchases and sourcing animals sight unseen online — neither of which is a recommendable practice.
The Teacup Designation
Whether we’re talking about teacup pigs or Pugs, I simply can’t stand the appellation. What’s so compelling about an animal who fits inside a teacup?
Just as with dogs, the word “teacup” purports to describe the size of a pig for marketing purposes alone. It is not a distinct species or breed of pig. It’s just a pig who’s been bred to be smaller than most.
The True Story About Size
Forget what Paris said — 12 pounds is not what these pigs weigh when fully grown. Try 40 or 50, if you’re lucky. Many of these pigs will weigh well over 100 pounds once they reach their maximum poundage — a
t which point they’re often surrendered to a rescue.
By way of illustration, here’s Paris with her 50-pound teacup pig in 2011.
This Couple Thought They Adopted A Mini-Pig, But It Grew Up Into 670 Pounds Of Cuteness
Life can sometimes give you a blessing in disguise! When Steve Jenkins and Derek Walter in Canada adopted Esther the pig, they thought she was a pygmy piglet. Two years and 667 lbs later, their “tiny piglet” turned out to be a full-size commercial pig, but the love and friendship that they experienced from Esther had already changed their lives for the better.
When they realized how intelligent and friendly Esther was (pigs are as smart as dogs, and considered by many to be cleaner animals), they couldn’t stomach the idea that they were eating other pigs that were just as smart and friendly, so they became vegans. They were so deeply affected by their life with Esther, in fact, that they were inspired to devote their loves to building an animal shelter.
Read on between the photos for more info!

Two years later, this little piggy weighs in at 670 pounds!
The couple decided to keep her anyway…
Beware of pig: Authorities in Indianapolis are crediting a family’s full-grown pig with scaring off a burglar or burglars who broke into a home just weeks after the property was purchased. (OK, the POLICE, are crediting the pig with saving the home. They don’t have any idea what caused the burglars to flee… it could have been the SMELL. But, I guess the burglars are a lot smarter than the owner… they know that pigs are DANGEROUS and can decide to eat you at any moment, farmers are smart enough not to give them a chance. Yet, people with small children take them into their home unrestrained. IDIOTS!)
Per Fox 59, the intruder smashed through the back door but left without taking anything, apparently after encountering the pig known as Dumplin, who was adopted from a rescue shelter.
“[Police] were guessing whenever the person broke in, they were probably surprised I had a pig, and were like, ‘We don’t want to deal with this,'” the homeowner, a single mom with four kids, tells WXIN.
Though she wasn’t home at the time, she adds an officer informed her the intruder had made it as far as Dumplin’s location. “He’s the perfect animal,” she says. (He’s the PERFECT ANIMAL she says. And this story warrants full coverage on the front page of my internet news provided by GOOGLE and ATT. Seriously? The story does not state the size of the pig. Since it was a new home, the smell surely has not gotten as bad as it will. I will tell you one thing. I lived next to a pig ranch one time, and I would NEVER want to get any closer. PIGS ARE GROSS, and they SMELL TO HIGH HEAVEN. They are also VERY DANGEROUS, they will eat anything, INCLUDING YOU! YOU SHOULD NEVER let your small children around a PIG! That is my advice, take it or leave it.)

Added note: You know how a smoker lives in a home full of the odor of Nicotine and does not even notice. It is in the furniture, the walls, their clothes, their hair, and they cannot detect it. Until they quit smoking and their airways are cleansed. Just like people can’t smell their own body odor, because they live with it. People who love Ferrets and keep them in their home become adjusted to their odor. But, someone else walking into their home is overwhelmed by the odor and can’t wait to get out of there. Just saying… is having a pig for a pet worth growing accustomed to the repulsive???
