I HATE OCTOBER. This month should be wiped off the Calendar.  It is an entire month that people dedicate to the CELEBRATION OF DEATH.  YUCK, YUCK AND YUCK!!   Have you ever been curious why so many people seem to be so fascinated with death??  Or, what makes a person want to harm another human being?

For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the Lord.

But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

It is no wonder that this time of great chaos, conflict and BATTLE should come in the wretches month of October.

This post is a message of WARNING!  Be vigilant my friends.  These are perilous times.  Watch over loved ones and keep them close.  Keep your eyes and ears open at all times.  The enemy loves to catch you by surprise, when your guard is down.

There are a lot of crazy people in the world today. Once we were for the most part a Christian Nation who honored GOD and had favor from the Lord.  We were kept isolated from most of the harsh and scary stuff that went on in the world around us.  We were blessed.  We lived in peace.   But that peace has been taken for those who do not know GOD.  Perversion, conflict, bloodshed and war have come to our shores.  Be wise as serpents and gentle as lambs.  Take nothing for granted and trust no one that you do not know.  Listen for the leading of the Holy Spirit and that still small voice of GOD.

Biden administration asks U.S. Supreme Court to uphold ban on felons owning guns

Oct 10 (Reuters) – The Biden administration is urging the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn a lower-court ruling that weakened a federal law barring people convicted of serious crimes from possessing firearms by holding that it violated the constitutional rights of a man who admitted to food-stamp fraud.

The U.S. Department of Justice in a petition made public this week asked the court to hear its appeal of a 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals’ ruling in June that found the ban violated the U.S. Constitution’s Second Amendment citing a landmark U.S. Supreme Court ruling that expanded gun rights.

The Justice Department said the Philadelphia-based court’s decision in the case of Bryan Range, a Pennsylvania resident convicted in 1995 of welfare fraud, conflicts with rulings from two other appeals courts upholding the ban and “opened the courthouse doors to an untold number of future challenges by other felons.”

David Thompson, a lawyer for Range at Cooper & Kirk, in a statement called the Supreme Court appeal “yet another misguided effort by the Biden Administration to curtail Second Amendment rights.”

Last year, the Supreme Court in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen declared that the Second Amendment’s “right to keep and bear arms” protects an individual’s right to carry a handgun in public for self-defense.

U.S. Circuit Judge Thomas Hardiman wrote that the government had failed to point to any laws from the nation’s founding establishing a tradition of disarming non-violent criminals.

While the Justice Department asked the Supreme Court to reverse the 3rd Circuit’s decision, it said because the court was already considering related Second Amendment issues in another case, it could wait until after it rules to do so.

In that other case, the Supreme Court in November will consider whether a 1994 federal law that bars people under domestic violence restraining orders from possessing firearms violates the Second Amendment.

So first, just what is jihad?

Well, actually there are two kinds, depending on whether the Muslims are politically strong or weak. I shall start with the type associated with political strength, because that’s the normal type in Islamic history.

The normal type of jihad is missionary warfare. That’s how you’ll find it described in the classical law-books, from about 800 to about 1800. What the Quran has to say on the subject is a different question: the rules it presupposes seem to be a good deal more pacifist than those developed by the jurists and exegetes. But it is the work of the latter which came to form the sharia – the huge mass of precepts on which the public and private lives of Muslims were based (at least in theory), down to the coming of modernity, which still regulates their devotional lives today, and on which Islamists (or “fundamentalists”) would like once more to base the entire arena of public life.

The scholars said that jihad consisted in backing the call to Islam with violence, where necessary. It was “the forcible mission assisted by the unsheathed sword against wrongheaded people who arrogantly refuse to accept the plain truth after it has become clear”: thus a scholar who died in 1085. The idea was that God (Allah) was the only ruler of the universe. Humans who refused to acknowledge this were in the nature of rebels, who had to be brought to heel. At the very least, they had to submit to God (Allah) politically, by being brought under Muslim government. But ideally, they would submit to him in religious terms as well, by converting.

Holy warriors worked by making regular incursions into the lands of the infidels order to call them to Islam. Normally, they would do so as part of an official expedition launched by the state, but they might also operate on their own. In any case, if the infidels didn’t want to convert, they could just surrender politically (at least if they were Christians and Jews). In that case they were placed under Muslim government, but kept their own religion in return for the payment of poll-tax. But if they refused both religious and political surrender, they should be fought until they were defeated. The terms were in that case set by the conquerors, who might kill the men and enslave the women and children (or so at least if they were pagans); or they might treat them as if they had surrendered voluntarily.

Once an infidel community had been subdued politically, one moved on to the next lot of infidels and did the same to them. This had to go on until the whole earth was God’s (Allah’s) or the world came to an end, whichever would be the sooner.
