Ok folks, I just had to share this. Regretfully, I lost the link to where I found it. The photo on the right below is from 9-16-21. It is of smoke coming from the crater. I snipped it from a video. Why? Because I could not believe my eyes. Do you see it? The pattern of the smoke on top of the crater looks nearly identical to the LAVA MAP of the current lava flow. I trimmed off some of the photo so that you could see it more clearly. On the Top Left is the current Lava Map, and below it is the photo from the crater. Unbelievable!!

La Palma volcano eruption update: eruption with no end in sight, continues at high intensity

The eruption continues with little changes, and remains very intense. The active cone shows strong explosive and effusive activity; in particular, the summit vents have been producing spectacular lava fountains and generate an ash plume that rose to 3,800 m this morning. Several surface lava flows have been observed flowing from the cone.
The mixed explosive-effusive activity paired with high rates of magma reaching the surface causes frequent small and sometimes larger changes of the geometric configuration at the growing cone, as rapid accumulation works against the forces of gravity, drag of material ejected and flowing away and parts that become undermined by formation of tubes etc.; currently, at least 4 or 5 vents are active aligned in a row, with different behavior as the magma pressure varies with the height of the vents themselves and the complex interactions of the rising gasses and the fluid magma in the conduits.

Concerning the most significant instrumental data, there are no signs of a soon end in sight either. Instead, earthquakes have slowly increased not in size, but in numbers. During the past 24 hours, there were 103 quakes of magnitude 3.0-3.7 and 156 quakes between 2.0 and 3.0. The location remains the same as before,- most at around 12 km depth under the central part of Cumbre Vieja and a few ones in the deeper layer around 35 km depth.
Ground deformation also suggests that magma pressure from below is stable, with no clear trend. This suggests that there is still supply of magma from deeper sources to balance the erupting volumes, or, in other words, the eruption is at an equilibrium and might go on for a while still.

Steam Emanating from Unstable Land Mass Ridge on La Palma IslandImages coming from the island of LaPalma, Canary Islands, in the Atlantic Ocean off northwest Africa this morning, seem to show steam emanating from the precise steep ridgeline forming the massive, unstable, landmass that scientists have said could slide into the ocean, causing a Tsunami.
Rain is taking place over the island this morning so the imagery is not clear; but it _appears_ steam is coming out of the ground in at least eight locations as shown in the image above. This could be the PRECISE warning signal that scientists have feared for over a decade.
If this __is__steam, then people on the east coast of north America must be on special high alert and pay extreme attention to what’s taking place there. If it is steam, then this is the precise warning signal that scientists say could mean a large, unstable, slab of land, the size of Manhattan, NYC, could slide off the island into the ocean, causing a Tsunami wave that would smash the east coast of north America 7 hours later.

THIS is the terrifying moment a “lava tsunami” in La Palma hurtles towards a town, as the volcanic eruption on the Spanish island continues. The dramatic footage of one of the lava rivers pouring down the mountainside was recorded by the Canary Islands Volcanological Institute posted on its Twitter site. “One of our crew was able to film a truly lava ‘tsunami’. Amazing speed and overflow of the lava channel,” the organisation posted. The video shows the red-hot lava river travelling at high speed and shows buildings in its path as it travels towards the sea, devouring everything in its path. The emergency services are continuing to monitor the latest effusions from the La Palma volcano. There are two main rivers. The original one, with little contribution of lava at present, has three branches: two to the south of the Todoque mountain (one is the one that has formed the lava delta or fajana when falling on the waters of the ocean) and a third located on the mountain. The second, which is the one that currently worries authorities and researchers the most, is to the north of the original stream and moves in a northwesterly direction with two appendages: one, which presents high intensity and a wide path, and the other which is crossing an industrial park in the La Laguna district diagonally. The Official Opinion of the La Palma Experts is that there will be NO TSUNAMI. Can we get a guarantee on that? It is clear that this Volcano has not been behaving normally and that even the experts have no idea what it is going to do. Other “experts” have determined that a Tsunami is possible.
I don’t know if there will or will not be a Tsunami. I don’t know how they would know if there was interference from HAARP or not. I also don’t know that any “officials” can be trusted. SO, in my opinion it is best to be safe and keep watch. There is no reason for fear or panic. But, we should always be wise and aware. I will continue to watch.
Quakes at La Palma are NOT artificial! (and the island is not “under attack”)
Add-on: the island is “not under attack” by any strange forces; nor it is by any significant likelihood going to collapse and produce a “mega tsunami” to devastate the US east coast. This scenario is so extremely unlikely that it is not worth any headlines, but unfortunately enjoys lots of media attention who seek sensationalism.

This is an artifact caused when the calculated locations of quakes are rounded to the closest decimal after the comma, whose value is still larger than the error span of the measurement and not to suggest a wrong level of accuracy that simply cannot be achieved.
Example: A fictive quake’s true epicenter is 35.35768962 N / 25.93617482 E. Now, let’s assume that the accuracy of possible detection by instruments is maximum 0.01 deg latitude or longitude. The complex numerical seismic calculations might give the following raw result:
35.350108457… N / 25.94016237809.. While this might seem extremely accurate, it is not. Even though numerically produced data values have as many digits as the number of bits in computers allow, the accuracy is far less and only as good as input data.
The results are thus within 0.01 deg error (or 1 km) margin from their unknown true value. Most agencies will round the results to a value that reflects the accuracy by the value of the last digit.
In this case, the quake’s epicenter might be published as 35.35 / 25.94
If there are many quakes in an area where the quakes are closer together than the maximum resolution of the lat/lon calculations, it will appear that many quakes end up having the same rounded latitude or longitude value, and thus, seemingly are arranged on a grid corresponding to these rounded values.
In reality, the quakes are of course not aligned on this grid, but at their true locations, which is not exactly known.
Why are the same quakes often at different places when published by different agencies?
Agencies such as EMSC in the attached example who monitor quakes worldwide use a larger network with broad coverage and less individual accuracy, while regional agencies specialize in specific areas, often using a local small dense network of stations and can resolve locations down to levels of 10-100 m.

A NEW COLADA threatens new areas and adds more houses swallowed, 2,263 buildings already This new wash runs through the Las Manchas area, one of the first to be evacuated since the beginning of the eruption on September 19, as reported by the Volcanological Institute of the Canary Islands. In the image published by Copernicus, this new surface covered by lava is located at the back of the wash that has been stopped in the La Laguna neighborhood and could be attributed to the magma overflows registered early on Saturday.

The intensity of the eruption increased. Since the last update, the at least 4 active vents have been generating violent pulses of lava fountains with ash columns rising to approx. 3 km, as well feeding both surface lava flows directly from the vents as well as fueling the hidden-from-view lava tubes that transport most of the lava to active areas of the flow field downslope.
Volcanic tremor has increased significantly during the latest hours, likely heralding that a strong pulse of magma is reaching the vents. The southeastern vent that had been reactivated or opened a week ago, and so far only showed explosive activity, now also started to erupt more lava, in form of pulsating lava fountains. This vent now feeds a new lava flow travels towards the southern slopes and has already reached the San Nicolas district in Las Manchas.

According to the latest data, 891,9 hectares of land have been covered by lava and 2,270 buildings destroyed or damaged.
Earthquakes continue to increase if not in size but in numbers, remaining in the same area mostly around 12 km depth beneath the center of the volcano Cumbre Vieja. During the past 24 hours, the island had shaken by 77 quakes of magnitude 3.0-3.9 and 121 quakes between 2.0 and 3.0.

Replying to We have a MASSIVE amount of activity in the last 24 hours, not seen since the initial eruption. We’re going to see this activity continue for the next 3 days, at which point *something* not insignificant is going to happen, unless flow increases or another vent opens ASAP.
No evidence of any movement in that regard, but the frequency and magnitude of the quakes are increasing in a way far removed from the initial eruption, which is pulling me towards either a massive amount of magma building up or chambers collapsing. It’s becoming more shallow.

La Palma volcano eruption update: intense ash emissions, strong quakes, but lava flows slowed

Activity continues with strong ash emissions and lava effusion from the vents, similar to previous days.
The overall advance of the lava flow fronts has slowed down, fortunately. In the last 24 hours, only 3.24 hectares have covered additionally by lava flows. The total affected area stands now at 850 hectares, and the flow field is at its maximum 2,900 m wide.
This apparent decrease of lava flow activity, however, is likely not because a decrease of magma output, but because most of the erupted lava has been adding to thicken the existing lava flows and/or overlapping them. Volcanic tremor remains high; it has even increased a bit compared to yesterday, suggesting that magma output rates are still very elevated.
Earthquake activity remains high, and with the addition of the recent 4.9 quake, slowly increases in both numbers and maximum magnitudes.
Ground deformation has increased again slightly: the deflationary trend of the past day stopped and turned again to inflation. At the LP 3 measuring station, the ground elevation is now 18.5 cm uplift compared to pre-crisis levels.

A short time ago, at 4.34 p.m., the island was shaken by a magnitude 4.9 quake at 38 km depth. The quake was the largest-so-far in the current crisis. It was first estimated at magnitude 5.0, but then downgraded to “only” 4.9.

UPDATED 1:53 PM EDT – SEE BOTTOM — The volcanic eruption which began on the Island of LaPalma in the Canary Islands, Atlantic Ocean, off the northwest coast of Africa seems to be getting some help: artificial help to make it WORSE! Evidence below:
When the Cumbre Viejo volcano on La Palma began erupting on September 10, it immediately became the focus of intense attention because that island is the only place in the world which can generate a Tsunami wave, which is capable of literally destroying the entire east coast of North America.
Back in the 1990’s several scientists closely studied and even went inside the then-dormant volcano and found that the entire southwest flank had become unstable and could slide into the Atlantic Ocean. That unstable land mass is the size of the island of Manhattan, NYC, and would generate a tsunami wave.
Computer models showed the tsunami would begin hitting the US east coast within 7 to 8 hours, and would smash almost all the major cities, with a wall of water 30 meters to fifty meters high. That would mean a wave 100-164 FEET tall, lasting 5 to 45 minutes as it flooded 12-15 miles inland.
As interest in the eruption grew, people starting paying closer attention to what was taking place there.
Tonight, that attention has paid off.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) was founded in 1975, following a recommendation from the European Seismological Commission (ESC). The ESC is a regional commission of the International Association of Seismology and Physics of the Earth’s Interior (IASPEI), itself a specialized association of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG). Put simply, it is Europe’s equivalent to the US Geological Survey in the USA.
Tonight, if someone goes to the EMSC web site to look at earthquakes taking place on the island of LaPalma, they get a map showing this:
The red dots forming a blob of red indicates the ongoing clusters of earthquakes around the erupting volcano.
If you zoom-in a little closer on the same earthquake map, you see this:

That’s almost a perfect grid pattern. There is no way that’s natural. No possible way at all.

It looks as though LaPalma is being attacked. It appears some type of technology is being used to specifically target the island and CAUSE earthquakes, and the attack pattern indicates it is intended to deliberately weaken the same southwest flank where the unstable land mass is located.

This appears to be a deliberate effort to CAUSE the flank to slide into the ocean and generate a tsunami to wipe out the US east coast.
Whoever is doing this appears to be TRYING to cause the destruction of the US east coast. This may be an actual act of war!

Whatever is going on on La Palma, may have begun naturally, but as of 11:45 PM eastern US time on Friday, October 22, 2021, it now clearly looks as though some type of man-made attack is taking place.

The eruption last week of a volcano on the Atlantic Island of La Palma has the potential to trigger a 100 meter (about 300 foot) tsunami that would devastate the East Coast of the US, the Southern coasts of Europe, and large parts of coastal Africa and South America.
This comes after the three gorges dam in China came under heavy pressure from “once in a thousand-year flooding,” earlier this summer. If the dam burst, as many as 600 million Chinese would be affected and countless deaths would be recorded.
The startling discovery was that according to MI6, the thousands of earthquakes followed by the volcanic eruption in La Palma were traced to a “Haarp array” based not in China, but Norway of all places.

The High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) is a congressionally initiated program jointly managed by the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy. The United States Congressional records show that HAARP is funded by the US government. The U.S. Senate set aside $15 million dollars in 1996 (Clinton administration) to develop the ability to penetrate the earth with signals bounced off of the ionosphere. This earth-penetrating-tomography has since been developed and used by the US government to look inside the planet to a depth of many kilometers in order to locate underground munitions, minerals and tunnels. The problem is that the frequencies used by HAARP for earth-penetrating tomography is also within the frequency range most cited for disruption of earth’s own electromagnetic field.
HAARP patents states that HAARP can beam radio energy into the Auroral electrojet, the curved, charged-particle stream formed at high latitudes where the solar wind interacts with Earth’s magnetic field. The radio energy then disperses over large areas through ductlike regions of the ionosphere, forming a virtual antenna that can be thousands of miles in length.
Such an ELF antenna can emit waves penetrating as deeply as several kilometers into the ground, depending on the geological makeup and subsurface water conditions in a targeted area. HAARP uses ground-penetrating radar (GPR) to beam pulses of polarized high-frequency radio waves into the ionosphere. These pulses can be finely tuned and adjusted so that the bounced ground penetrating beam can target a very specific area and for a specific length of time. Beaming a very large energy beam into the ground for an extended period can cause an earthquake. After all, an earthquake is the result of a sudden release of energy in the Earth’s crust that creates seismic wave resonances. The same array of antennas that are used by HAARP for ground penetrating tomography can also be used to penetrate deep into the ground and cause an earthquake anywhere around the World.
Geophysical events like earthquakes and volcanic eruptions – the kinds of things that may already be on the edge of discharge – can, with the right resonant energies added into the system, cause them to overload and actually fracture. Former U.S. Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen actually made the statement regarding weapons of mass destruction and the idea of generating earthquakes artificially. One of the flanks of the Cumbre Vieja volcano has been moving towards the ocean. Its fall would cause a tsunami comparable to the impact of a meteorite.
La Palma , belonging to the province of Tenerife, is the westernmost island of the Canary Islands.
Cumbre Vieja rises two kilometers above the earth’s surface, although it is a volcano six kilometers high from the ocean floor. It is the busiest in the Canary Islands and one of the busiest on the planet. In the last five centuries it has erupted seven times, the last of which, in 1949, formed a fault along the crest of the volcano that displaced its western flank downward toward the sea.
With little more than 700 km2 of surface, it presents a very abrupt relief, with a large central volcanic caldera that occupies a large part of the island and that reaches 2,426 m. altitude at its highest point.
As early as 1990, American geologists found that in the last eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano , in 1949, the entire southwestern part of the island sank 4 meters into the ocean. Then a great fault formed that runs through the entire southern part of La Palma and that separates this half of the island from the rest. This great block is supposed to be sinking very slowly, but some hypotheses state that an eventual eruption of the Cumbre Vieja, if it were powerful enough, could end up fracturing the island and cause the entire southwestern great block to collapse.
In addition, there are data that indicate that this volcano is saturated with water from the ocean and precipitations, since it is formed by very porous rocks, which allow the water to filter. In this way, large pockets of water would have formed at the base and sides of the volcano which, in an eventual eruption, would greatly increase the explosive power of the magma, originating an expansive force sufficient to definitively fracture the island and collapse the western block towards the ocean. The collapse of these billions of tons of rock would also be favored by the water, which fills the fractures and acts as a sliding surface.

La Palma volcano eruption update: lava effusion and quake activity remain high, but first signs of hope from deflation

The eruption continues with activity fluctuating between more and less intense phases at the vents. Near-constant fountaining form the summit vent at the cone produces dense ash emissions that rose to approx. 2,800 m today, while lava spattering and lava flow effusion can be seen from the lower vent.
However, most lava is likely invisible at the vents as it is going directly into a system of underground lava tubes that have formed with time and transport it to various areas of the active flow field, which continues to advance slowly at various fronts, mostly along its northern margins.
Volcanic tremor levels remain high, suggesting that the magma rate as well continues to be very high, estimated to be around 60-70 cubic meters a second.
Volcanic earthquakes continue to increase if not in size but in numbers; during the latest 24-hour period, the National Geographic Institute (IGN) detected 135 earthquakes under the island, 14 of which were felt by people. The strongest quake was a magnitude 4.4 event at 11.54 p.m. last night, while another quake of magnitude 4.2 occurred earlier this morning. Both of these stronger ones were in the deeper layer between 35-40 km depth. Most other quakes were under the center of Cumbre Vieja at around 12 km depth “as usual”; this area is believed to be where the magma is stored before rising to the erupting vents.
Ground deformation is now showing a decreasing trend, which is a good sign as it should indicate that the eruption of magma now outpaces the supply from depth, and maybe can be taken as careful indicator that the peak of activity has been passed.

Word is coming out about the ongoing volcano eruption, directly from people on the island of LaPalma, Canary Islands, Atlantic Ocean, off the northwest coast of Africa and it is not good.
One resident writes “We are on the other side of the island from the volcano and steam is coming out of the ground here! Areas of ground are showing 8+ inches of lift, earth quakes are minutes apart, over 110 since midnight, never ending low shaking. For the first time, we’re frightened.”
Yesterday, this web site reported that a total of FIVE vents were now open and spewing lava on the volcano, a major increase if activity as seen below:
Today, we can show that a new, gaping, hole is forming to the left of the left-most vent:
The photo above also shows the marked increase in steam (downslope to the right) emanating from the ground, proving that a significant source of water is now intruding into the volcano. This steam is a new development. It has not really been seen in this area throughout the long lava flow. Where it came from and how much more is involved, is a huge question. Enough water could cause a gigantic steam explosion.
Clearly the situation on LaPalma is worsening.
People on the U.S. east coast are URGED to pay close attention to developments there, because if things go to their worst, a slab of unstable land, the size of Manhattan Island New York City, is already slipping off the southwest flank of this island, and may slide into the Atlantic Ocean.
If that happens, a Tsunami will be generated that scientists say can hit the US east coast seven to eight hours later, with 30 meter to 50 meter waves crashing ashore. Those would be waves about 100-164 FEET tall!
They would wipe out most of the major cities on the US east coast, and smash the United States economy back to almost the Stone Age, for decades.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) did a study on this potential disaster and their study asserts they can expect sixty-five MILLION dead from such an event.
YOU don’t want to be one of those.
Have your car gassed up. Have a plan about WHERE you would evacuate to and how you would get there. Have an ALTERNATE ROUTE in case the first way is blocked. Have a “Go-Bag” for each member of your family, pre-packed with clothes, underwear, socks, belts shoes, deodorant/soap/shampoo, toothpaste and any medicines you need.
If you hear that the landslide has taken place and a Tsunami is actually on its way, LEAVE IMMEDIATELY. Don’t wait for government to tell you because once the government tells the masses, it will be chaos.
You know how traffic is at rush hour; you can’t move. Now try to imagine it’s not just people getting out of work, but rather EVERYONE fleeing for their lives. It will be instant grid lock.
People will go berserk; it may turn into a Mad Max situation on the roads as terrified people drive over, under, and through anything in their way.
You don’t want to be stuck in that. So leave immediately once you hear a landslide happened, and hopefully, you’ll reach safety long before the masses panic.

What is causing the flashing lights inside the volcano?? Could that be D.E.W.? Lasers from the sky to heat the lava? Or, boil the water to cause an explosion? I would not put it past those with the weapons and motivation to use them.
It is strange to have static discharges at the same spot. This phenomenal could be something else.

Here is the official warning from the Government of Canary Islands warning of an “INTENSITY” 6 earthquake. Apparently this is reference to the Mercali Shake Scale Index and NOT Magnitude.
To be explicitly clear, there is a vastg difference between INTENSITY and Magnitude. The Canary Island officials are referring to INTENSITY and that is a function of the Mercali Modified Shake Scale, shown below:

Scientists analyzing the events on LaPalma are now speaking about the possibility of Supercritical fluid decompressing.
Not saying that’s it but if it is, a massive, and I mean MASSIVE explosion would happen.
When water is super-heated, it turns rapidly to steam, but if it is under enormous pressure, it CANNOT turn to steam.
Water has an expansion ration of 1700:1 So for every gallon of water, if heated into steam, that gallon would create 1700 gallons of steam.
Well, if the water intruding into the magma is kept under pressure and cannot turn to steam, the pressure builds and builds until the pressure is let off. And WHEN that pressure is let off . . . ALL the water instantly turns into steam. So if, lets say, ocean water is now creeping into the magma shaft, and, for argument sake, lets presume one cubic kilometer of ocean water makes it in there, under pressure. When the pressure gets released, that one cubic kilometer of ocean water, INSTANTLY turns into 1700 cubic kilometers of super-heated steam. The concern right now is that the entire magma pool would empty in one big blast. It is unlikely the island itself would survive.
