I just had to laugh when I saw the above photo. Seriously, anyone who buys this stuff is in dire need of the Holy Spirit. Gotta love this image of the rock snowman whirling around in space. Tell me another tale NASA. I can always use a good laugh.

The New Horizons spacecraft has a total launch mass of 478.4 Kilograms and is 0.7 by 2.1 by 2.7 meters in size, often likened to a grand piano given its triangular shape and comparable size. The spacecraft consists of a Central Thrust Tube, a triangular spacecraft structure around the tube with a large High Gain Antenna Dish atop the spacecraft body and a radioisotope thermoelectric generator installed to the pointy end of the spacecraft bus for power generation, delivering barely enough power to run two 100-Watt light bulbs which is all the spacecraft systems and the science payload have to operate on. The spacecraft hosts seven instruments and purely relies on thrusters for attitude control.

Early in the morning hours (eastern time) on January 1, 2019 (or 1/1/19 or 1119 or 6111 or 1+1+2+19 = 23 or 1+1+2+1+9= 14 or 5) , the New Horizons spacecraft sped past the most distant explored object in the solar system. The tiny planetesimal it encountered is called 2014 MU69, nicknamed Ultima Thule. That term means “beyond the known world” and was chosen as a temporary name for the object during a public naming competition in 2018.

What Is Ultima Thule?
This tiny object orbits the Sun out in a region of space called the Kuiper Belt, well beyond the orbit of Neptune. Since Ultima Thule lies out in that region, it’s sometimes referred to as a “trans-Neptunian object.” As with many planetesimals there, Ultima Thule is a mainly icy object. Its orbit is 298 Earth-years long, and it gets only a tiny fraction of the sunlight that Earth receives. Planetary scientists have long been interested in little worldlets like this one because they date back to the formation of the solar system. Their distant orbits preserve them in very cold temperatures, and that also preserves scientific information about what conditions were like some 4.5 billion years ago, when the Sun and planets were forming.

Exploring Ultima Thule
Ultima Thule was the target of a hunt for another object to study by the New Horizons spacecraft after its successful flyby of Pluto in July 2015. It had been spotted in 2014 by the Hubble Space Telescope as part of a survey for distant objects beyond Pluto in the Kuiper Belt. The team decided to program the spacecraft’s trajectory to Ultima Thule. To get an accurate idea of its size, New Horizons scientists programmed ground-based observations of this little world as it occulted (passed in front of) a more distant set of stars during its orbit. Those observations in 2017 and 2018 were successful and gave the New Horizons team a good idea of the size and shape of Ultima Thule.
Armed with that information, they programmed the spacecraft’s path and science instruments to observe this dark distant planetesimal during the January 1, 2019 flyby. The spacecraft flew past at a distance of 3,500 kilometers (2174.799) at a speed of just over 14 kilometers per second. Data and images began streaming back to Earth and will continue until late 2020.

For the flyby, the New Horizons team invited friends, family, and press. To celebrate the close flyby, which took place at 12:33 a.m. (EST) on January 1, 2019, the combined visitors and team held what one newspaper called “the geekiest New Year’s party ever.” One special part of the celebration was the performance of an anthem for New Horizons by Dr. Brian May, astrophysicist member of the New Horizons team and former lead guitarist for the rock group Queen.
To date, Ultima Thule is the most distant known body ever explored by a spacecraft. Once the Ultima Thule flyby was done, and the data transmissions began, the spacecraft swung its attention to more distant worlds in the Kuiper Belt, possibly for future flybys.
The Scoop on Ultima Thule
Based on data and images taken at Ultima Thule, planetary scientists have found and explored the first contact binary object in the Kuiper Belt. It’s 31 kilometers long and has two “lobes” joined to form a “collar” around one part of the object. The lobes are named Ultima and Thule respectively for the small and large components. This ancient planetesimal is thought to be made largely of ice, with perhaps some rocky material mixed in. Its surface is very dark and may be covered with organic materials created as the icy surface was bombarded by ultraviolet radiation from the distant Sun. Ultima Thule lies 6,437,376,000 kilometers (4.00000248548e+9 miles) away from Earth and it took more than six hours to send a one-way message to or from the spacecraft.

What’s Important About Ultima Thule?
Due to its distance from the Sun and its steady orbit in the plane of the solar system, Ultima Thule is thought to be what’s called a “cold classical Kuiper Belt object.” That means it has likely orbited in the same place throughout much of its history. Its shape is interesting because the two lobes indicate that Ultima Thule is made of two objects that gently drifted together and remained “stuck to each other” for most of the object’s history. Its spin indicates motion that was imparted to Ultima Thule during the collision and it hasn’t spun down yet.
There appear to be craters on Ultima Thule, as well as other features on its red surface. (This object is Rose color. Rose is a symbol of Rhode/Isle of Rhodes/Rhode Scholars. Rhode was the goddess of the salt sea and consort of the Sun. She is in the family line of the Sea/Pontus. Her symbol the ROSE is the symbol of SECRECY.) It doesn’t appear to have any satellites or a ring surrounding it and there’s no discernible atmosphere. During the flyby, specialized instruments onboard New Horizons scanned its surface in various wavelengths of light to learn more about the chemical properties of the reddish surface. What those observations and others reveal will help planetary scientists understand more about conditions in the early solar system and out in the Kuiper Belt, which is already being called the “third regime of the solar system.”

A fresh image from NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft released Tuesday showed the mission’s distant flyby target a billion miles beyond Pluto — nicknamed Ultima Thule — has an elongated shape like that of a peanut shell or a bowling pin, and the prospect of higher-resolution pictures arriving on Earth later in the day had scientists salivating for more.
“I don’t know about all of you, but I’m really liking this 2019 thing so far,” said Alan Stern, the New Horizons mission’s principal investigator from the Southwest Research Institute. “We’re here to tell you that last night, overnight, the United States spacecraft New Horizons conducted the farthest exploration in the history of humankind, and did so spectacularly. Thousands of operations on board the spacecraft had to work correctly in order for us to be able to tell you this, and now we know that it all did.”
New Horizons phoned home hours after its encounter with Ultima Thule, and the ground team at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory here confirmed the first signals from the probe since the flyby arrived on Earth at 1531 GMT Tuesday.
Subsystems aboard New Horizons looked good at first check, including the probe’s solid state recorders, indicating the spacecraft gathered the data intended during the flyby of Ultima Thule, the most distant planetary body ever explored up-close by a space mission.
“We have a healthy spacecraft, we’ve just accomplished the most distant flyby,” said Alice Bowman, mission operations manager, known by the acronym MOM.
An hour later, scientists gathered in a press conference to present a new image of Ultima Thule.
Stern joked that it’s “OK to laugh” at the blurry image released Tuesday, which was the sharpest view the spacecraft’s Long-Range Reconnaissance Imager, or LORRI, black-and-white camera obtained of Ultima Thule before zipping past the object at a velocity of more than 14 kilometres per second (32,000 mph) at 0533 GMT New Year’s Day.
“But it’s better than the one we had yesterday,” Stern told an auditorium of scientists, reporters and space enthusiasts gathered at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, where the New Horizons spacecraft was built and home to the mission control center.
“In my line of work, we like to interpret even images like this. … First, we have a better handle on the size of Ultima, it’s about 35 by 15 kilometres (21 miles by 9 miles),” Stern said. “Secondly, you see its irregular shape. There are two possibilities here. One possibility is that it’s bilobate with the upper lobe being smaller than the lower lobe, so they would be asymmetric. Or it may be these are two things that are actually in orbit around each other and just blurred together because of their proximity. Tomorrow, we will know which of those is the case.”
Scientists have already been able to solve one mystery about Ultima Thule, which has an official name of 2014 MU69, designating its discovery by astronomers using the Hubble Space Telescope in 2014.

“Ultima is finally revealing its secrets to us,” said Hal Weaver, New Horizons project scientist at APL. “Even though it’s a pixelated blob still, it’s a better pixelated blob than the day before. In fact, these images have allowed us to resolve something that was really puzzling to the scientists.”
The axis of Ultima Thule’s rotation appears to be pointing roughly toward the direction of the New Horizons spacecraft’s approach, giving it the appearance of spinning like a propeller. That would explain why scientists did not see any significant change in Ultima Thule’s brightness as New Horizons homed in on the distant, icy world, which kept the team from determining its rotation rate.

The latest image suggests it is more likely a single body, but scientists still did not rule out the binary explanation for Ultima Thule’s appearance.
“My bet would be it’s probably a single object, it’s bilobate, and if I’m wrong I’ll tell you tomorrow,” Stern said. “If it’s two separate objects, this would be an unprecedented situation in terms of how close they’re orbiting to one another. it would be spectacular to see, and I’d love to see it, but I think the higher probability is it’s a single body.”
Better images from the New Horizons spacecraft’s LORRI camera should be received by NASA’s Deep Space Network antennas beginning around 2000 GMT Tuesday. That communications downlink from New Horizons is expected to last until 2335 GMT, according to Bowman, followed by another window to receive signals at 0400 GMT Wednesday.
The transmissions will take roughly 6 hours and 8 minutes to travel the vast distance between New Horizons and Earth at light speed — 300,000 kilometres per second (186,000 miles per second).
The probe’s 15-watt transmitters can beam data down to scientists at 500 to 1,000 bits per second, so it will take 20 months to get all the data and imagery to the ground. The downlink will be interrupted from 4 January until mid-January because New Horizons — located in the constellation Sagittarius as seen from Earth — will be too close to the Sun in the sky for reliable communications.
“This mission has always ben about delayed gratification,” Stern said. “It took us 12 years to sell it (to NASA). It took us five years to build it, and it took us nine years just to get to the first target.”
Ultima Thule is part of the Kuiper Belt, a “third zone” of the Solar System beyond the inner and outer planets, and New Horizons is the first space mission to visit objects residing so far from the sun, following its 2015 first-ever encounter with Pluto and this week’s flyby of Ultima Thule. Ultima Thule takes 298 years to complete one orbit around the sun, and scientists believe it has been in the same region of the solar system since the formation of the planets 4.5 billion years ago.

“First, because it’s so far from the Sun, and the sunlight is so weak out there that the temperatures are down near absolute zero,” he said. “As a result of that, chemical reactions are essentially frozen, so the object is in such a deep freeze thats it’s perfectly preserved from its original formation.
“When you combine that deep freeze with the fact that Ultima is a small body, only tens of kilometres across, it can’t have a strong geologic engine like Pluto, for example, which is also cold but you could see the activity on its surface and (in) its atmosphere. Ultima doesn’t have the ability to evolve that way.
“So everything we’re going to learn about Ultima, from its composition, to its geology, to how it was orginally assembled, whether it has satellites and an atmosphere, and those kinds of things, are going to teach us about the original formation conditions of objects in the Solar System,” Stern said. “All the other things that we’ve gone out and orbited and flown by and landed on can’t tell us because they’re either large and they evolved, or they’re warm, and they evolved for that reason. Ultima is completely unique.”

Ultima Thule is lumpy, and scientists aren’t sure why.
Just after midnight on Jan. 1, NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft zoomed past Ultima Thule, a small, frigid object that lies about 1 billion miles (1.6 billion kilometers) beyond the orbit of Pluto.
The photos New Horizons captured during that epic encounter revealed a world unlike any other ever seen up close. The 21-mile-wide (33 km) Ultima Thule is bilobed and therefore resembles a reddish snowman — if that snowman had been flattened like a pancake.

“These are not spherical lobes at all,” New Horizons principal investigator Alan Stern, of the Southwest Research Institute in Boulder, Colorado, said Tuesday (April 23) during a presentation at the Outer Planets Assessment Group meeting at NASA headquarters in Washington, D.C.
“That caught us by surprise,” Stern added. “I think it caught everybody by surprise.”
New Horizons imagery also revealed a number of abutting mound-like features on the larger of the two lobes, which mission team members call Ultima. (The smaller lobe, naturally, is Thule.)
“They seem to be raised, but exactly what causes them we’re not sure,” Stern said. “It’s still early days.”
An early hypothesis held that the mounds resulted from convection of low-temperature ice, which was driven by the heat generated by the radioactive decay of aluminum-26. But further work suggests that this is an unlikely scenario, Stern said. The team now thinks the mounds may be the retained outlines of the small planetesimals that came together to form the Ultima lobe long ago.
“But there could be other processes as well,” Stern said. “So, this is an active topic of debate.”
Ultima Thule coalesced from a cloud of rocky, icy material far from the sun. These smaller chunks first formed two larger objects, which then apparently orbited a common center of mass as a binary pair, Stern said. These two bodies then slowly merged to form Ultima Thule (which is officially known as 2014 MU69).
The mission team has been able to put some “speed limits” on that merger, thanks to computer simulations. For example, if the two lobes had come together at about 22 mph (35 km/h), they likely wouldn’t have merged at all; the collision would have been a glancing one, and Ultima and Thule would have gone their separate ways, Stern said.
A collision at 11 mph (18 km/h) would lead to a merger, but not one generating an object with two relatively intact lobes like Ultima and Thule; there would be considerable distortion, Stern said. So, the New Horizons team thinks the collision occurred at even slower speeds — perhaps around 5.5 mph (8.9 km/h).
Indeed, the result of simulations with a 5.5-mph merging speed “is strikingly like what we actually observe,” Stern said.
Mission scientists have seen no evidence of any type of atmosphere on Ultima Thule, nor have they spotted any signs of satellites or ring systems, he added during Tuesday’s talk. But the team isn’t done looking on these fronts; it will take another 16 months or so for New Horizons to finish beaming all of its encounter data home to Earth.
The Ultima Thule flyby was the second such encounter for New Horizons, which famously cruised past Pluto in July 2015, providing the first good looks at that complex and surprisingly active world. And we may get further close-ups from New Horizons in the future. The spacecraft is in good health and has enough fuel to zoom past a third object, if NASA approves another mission extension, Stern has said.

NEW HORIZONS CLEARED FOR OPTIMAL APPROACH TO ULTIMA THULE

NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft has been officially cleared to embark on what mission engineers determined to be the optimal path for observation after three weeks of hazard searches near its second target, Kuiper Belt object Ultima Thule, turned up no debris that could pose a danger to it.
Because the probe is speeding to Ultima Thule at 31,500 miles (50,700 kilometers) per hour, even tiny particles of rock or ice could destroy it on impact.
A similar search for nearby hazards was conducted by the New Horizons team in 2015 in anticipation of the Pluto flyby. No hazards were found then, allowing the probe to make the close approach outlined by the mission’s hazard watch team, which had been formed back in 2011.

The Long Range Reconnaissance Imager (LORRI), a powerful telescopic camera and one of seven science instruments aboard New Horizons, searched for rings around the KBO and orbiting moons, both of which could produce potentially hazardous debris in the spacecraft’s path. From the probe’s current distance, LORRI is capable of detecting moons 2 miles (3 kilometers) in diameter and ring particles that reflect just five ten-millionths of the sunlight hitting them.
The announcement that New Horizons will take the optimal path to Ultima Thule was made Dec. 18, the last day a decision about whether to alter the spacecraft’s trajectory due to potential hazards could be made. Closest approach will take place on Jan. 1, 2019, at 12:33 a.m. EST (05:33 GMT).
“Our team feels like we have been riding along with the spacecraft, as if we were mariners perched on the crow’s nest of a ship, looking out for dangers ahead. The team was in complete consensus that the spacecraft should remain on the closer trajectory, and mission leadership adopted our recommendation,” said hazards team leader Mark Showalter of the SETI Institute.
Closest approach will bring the spacecraft within 2,200 miles (3,500 kilometers) of Ultima Thule. In contrast, New Horizons’ closest approach to Pluto was 7,800 miles (12,500 kilometers). A closer flyby is necessary because Ultima Thule is much smaller than Pluto and is about one billion miles further from the Sun.
In contrast to Pluto, which has a diameter of 1,473 miles (2,370 kilometers), Ultima Thule is estimated to have a diameter of just 23 miles (37 kilometers). It is not large enough to be spherical and is irregularly shaped. Observations conducted on several occasions when the KBO passed in front of a background star indicate it is either double-lobed or a binary composed of two objects orbiting one another.
Occultation observations also suggested Ultima Thule, which is composed of the building blocks of the solar system that never became part of a larger object, such as a dwarf planet, is dark and reddish colored. Mission principal investigator Alan Stern of the Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) in Boulder, Colorado, expects its temperature to be between 40 and 50 degrees above absolute zero, the temperature at which molecules within a substance are nearly motionless.
A final package of commands will be uploaded to the spacecraft just one week ahead of the flyby.
One day before New Horizons was given the “all clear,” a team of scientists led by Scott Sheppard of the Carnegie Institution for Science announced the discovery of the most distant dwarf planet to date, located about 120 astronomical units (one AU is equal to the average Earth-Sun distance — about 93 million miles) from the Sun. Nicknamed “Farout,” and located beyond dwarf planets Eris and Sedna, the distant object is estimated to have a diameter of approximately 300 miles (483 kilometers), making it large enough to be spherical.
New Horizons will not be able to observe “Farout” even from a distance as the dwarf planet is in a different direction than the one the spacecraft is traveling.spacer

Using the latest images of Ultima Thule returned by the New Horizons spacecraft, mission scientists created an animation depicting the Kuiper Belt Object’s (KBO) rotation during the last hours before the probe’s closest approach at 12:33 am EST on Jan. 1, 2019.
Several of the distant images used to create the movie were sent back to Earth between January 12 and 14, following approximately a week when the spacecraft was unable to communicate due to having been in solar conjunction.
These raw images were used to create an animation demonstrating the propeller-like rotation of Ultima Thule in the seven hours between 20:00 UT (3 p.m. ET) on Dec. 31, 2018, and 05:01 UT (12:01 a.m.) on Jan. 1, 2019, as seen by the Long Range Reconnaissance Imager (LORRI) aboard NASA’s New Horizons. AND the time of its arrival – ARRIVAL ON TIME AT: 33 minutes past MIDNIGHT, 33 minutes into the NEW YEAR, EASTERN TIME! Freemason Signature! Since he said it is arriving ONTIME, that means that is the time the PLANNED.
The movie captures Ultima Thule’s rotation over seven hours from 3 pm EST on December 31, 2018 to 12:01 am EST on January 1. During that time, New Horizons traveled from a distance of 310,000 miles (500,000 km) to just 17,100 miles (28,000 km) as it sped toward its target.
Viewers can see Ultima Thule growing larger as the spacecraft closed in on it during the seven hours covered in the animation.
To enhance the details on Ultima Thule’s surface, mission scientists sharpened the raw images returned by the spacecraft. They created two separate animation movies of the object’s rotation, one at the images’ actual scale, beginning with a resolution of 1.5 miles (2.5 km) per pixel in the first frame and ending with a resolution of 0.08 miles (0.14 km) in the last frame, and a second one that keeps Ultima Thule the same size throughout, correcting for the decreasing distance to increase visible detail as the spacecraft drew closer.
The seven-hour time lapse movie depicts slightly less than half a rotation by Ultima Thule, which spins on its axis around every 16 hours.
Studying the enhanced image will help scientists identify the KBO’s actual shape and provide insights into its origin four billion years ago.
Mission principal investigator Alan Stern of the Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) in Boulder, Colorado, announced the publication of an abstract for his presentation on Ultima Thule at the 50th Lunar and Planetary Sciences Conference (LPSC) in The Woodlands, Texas, from March 18-22.
A total of 40 abstracts detailing flyby findings will be presented at the conference even though just one percent of the data collected by the spacecraft has been returned.

Key points in Stern’s presentation include the facts that Ultima Thule is a contact binary that formed from a gentle merger of two objects several billion years ago; that Ultima Thule has no rings, moons, or atmosphere; that the KBO is red with little color variation between its two lobes; and that its surface reflectivity and markings vary, with the brightest region being the “neck” holding the two lobes together.
Currently, the spacecraft is conducting distant observations of several KBOs and also studying the gas, dust, and radiation in its Kuiper Belt environment. In March, it will look from afar at one of the alternate flyby targets found with Hubble in 2014. Even though that KBO, known as 2014 PN70, will never appear larger than a dot in New Horizons images, the probe’s observations from a distance are expected to reveal its shape, rotation period, surface properties, and any orbiting moons.
The sharpest, closest flyby images will be sent back via NASA’s Deep Space Network (DSN) some time in February. While return of all Ultima Thule flyby data will take 20 months, by late next month, mission scientists expect to have more stereo images, which will shed light on Ultima Thule’s geology, color, shape, and composition, Stern noted.
The New Horizons team plans to propose a second extended mission to travel further into the Kuiper Belt starting in late 2021. Engineering data returned after the flyby indicates less fuel was used for the Ultima Thule flyby than expected, leaving more available for an extended mission.

Dedicated to the rebirth of Aryan/Teutonic supremacy, the resurrection of Nordic mysticism, and the defeat of Christianity, the Thule Society prepared the path for the advent of the master race. During the late nineteenth century Cyrus Read Teed, a former Union army Medical Corps physician, claimed a civilization inhabited the concave inner surface of Earth. Teed made a religion of his discoveries and changed his name to Koresh, the Hebrew equivalent of his given name, Cyrus. As the messiah of Koreshanity, he formed a church and founded a community on a three-hundred-acre tract in Florida in 1894. He lived there with about 250 followers until 1908.
In 1871 the occultist Edward Bulwer-Lytton’s novel The Coming Race stirred imaginations around the world with an account of the subterranean master race who used the Vril force to sustain their secret hollow-earth empire.
The Thule Society was founded in 1910 by Felix Niedner, the German translator of the Eddas , Old Norse poems from the medieval manuscript Codex Regius , written sometime in the thirteenth century. The Munich branch of the society was established in 1918 by Baron Rudolf von Sebottendorf (Rudolf Glauer), who while living in Istanbul in 1910 had formed a secret society that combined esoteric Sufism, Freemasonry, and the creed of the Hashshashin.
In 1912 Sebottendorf returned to Germany, where he became a member of a secret anti-Semitic lodge known as the Order of Teutons. Baron von Sebottendorf was also conversant with the Bavarian Illuminati, the Knights Templar, the Holy Vehm, the Golden Dawn, the German Order Walvater of the Holy Grail, and Rosicrucianism. Baron Rudolf may have borrowed some concepts and rites from such groups, as well as the Theosophists and various Hermetic schools, but certainly his group, like many other German secret societies, placed special emphasis on the innate mystical strength of the Aryan race.
Mme Helena Blavatsky had listed the Six Root Races—the Astral, Hyperborean, Lemurian, Atlantean, Aryan, and the coming master race. The Germanic/Nordic/Teutonic people were of Aryan origin, and perhaps by forming a group named after the gateway to the other worlds, Ultima Thule, Baron Rudolf sought to Demonstrate to supermen in the hollow earth the Thule Society’s earnestness to please.
The Hyperboreans, the master race in the earth’s interior, usually remain aloof from the surface dwellers, but thousands of years ago they did colonize certain regions of the planet and left such people as the Celts, the Norse, Bretons, Spaniards, and Portuguese with an infusion of certain of their extraterrestrial memories in their minds and evidence of their Rh-negative blood types in their genetic transfer. Those human witnesses who claim to have encountered representatives of the Elder Race describe them as humanoid, but extremely long-lived, and say they give evidence of predating the human species by more than a million years.
In 1920 the Nazi Party was created by the Thule group. The Thule Sonnenrad (Sun Wheel) was used as inspiration for the Nazi flag and symbol. Hitler and his inner circle had a firm belief in Atlantis and in the superior race that had withdrawn from the surface world and prospered within the hollow earth. These ancient masters, who were likely extraterrestrial in origin, continued to monitor the new race of surface dwellers and from time to time had given humankind a boost up the evolutionary ladder. They were closely observing the Earth nations at this time to determine which people they would invite to inherit their wealth of technological knowledge. The Nazis were determined that it would be the German people who would become the heirs of the Master Race.
So great was the Nazi belief in the supermen who dwelt in the Hollow Earth that in April 1942 Nazi Germany sent out an expedition composed of a number of its most visionary scientists to seek a military vantage point in the hollow earth. Although the expedition of leading scientists left at a time when the Third Reich was putting maximum effort in their drive against the Allies, Göring, Himmler, and Hitler are said to have enthusiastically endorsed the project. Steeped in the more esoteric teachings of metaphysics, the führer had long been convinced that Earth was concave and that a master race lived on the inside of the planet.
The Nazi scientists who left for the island of Rugen had complete confidence in the validity of their quest. In their minds, such a coup as discovering the opening to the Inner World would not only provide them with a military advantage, but it would go a long way in convincing the Masters who lived there that the German people truly deserved to mix their blood with them in the creation of a hybrid master race to occupy the surface world. The extravagant effort to make contact with the Hyperboreans was unsuccessful.
In his book Shambhala , author and adventurer Nicholas Roerich writes of his curiosity about the universality of the legends of the underpeople:
“You recognize the same relationship in the folklores of Tibet, Mongolia, China, Turkestan, Kashmir, Persia, Altai, Siberia, the Ural, Caucasia, the Russian steppes, Lithuania, Poland, Hungary, Germany, France; from the highest mountains to the deepest oceans.… They tell you how the people…closed themselves in subterranean mountains. They even ask you if you want to see the entrance to the cave through which the saintly persecuted folk fled.” Throughout the world, Roerich emphasizes, one hears the same “wondrous tale of the vanished holy people.… Great is the belief in the Kingdom of the subterranean people.”

(Stillness in the Storm Editor) Prior to the 20th century, the average man or women toiled away in factories and work houses. Machines that were once invented by minds seeking to free humanity from monotonous labor now hindered the lives of millions in advancing industrial nations.
According to the below article, several free thinking individuals well versed in spiritual concepts of the day, as promulgated by the Theosophy society, conceived of a world of free and abundant energy, able to finally liberate humanity from servitude; despite the negative connotation with theosophy today.
The Vril Society was a group of mediums inspired by Theosophy and a contemporarily book entitled: ‘The Coming Race’, apparently the source of the Aryan philosophy that galvanized Nazi idealism. Contact was made through the Vril with beings claiming to be extraterrestrials from the Aldebaran star system. They professed to have benevolent intentions for humanity, and supplied the Vril mediums with advanced technical drawings that allowed German engineers to complete a working device.
During the 1920’s, Dr. W.O. Schumann, of the Technical University of Munich, successfully engineered an over-unity engine capable of propelling German craft, directly as a result of these drawings provided by the Vril. His statements on the nature of how this device worked resemble Walter Russell, the visionary spiritual scientists that inspired Nikola Tesla.

Russell asserted that the universe has essentially two primary principles: implosion and explosion, creation and destruction, organization and chaos (right and wrong, The TRUTH and THE LIE, good and evil,) – expressed in all phases of the universe. One example he cited was electromagnetism and its dipolar nature; or positive and negative properties. Dr Schumann uses a different vernacular, but he is essentially referring to the same principles:
Dr. Schumann had an unusual view of science and technology, believing in two opposing principles: explosion (the work of Satan) and implosion (the Divine Principle). This idea was also held by the Templars (supposedly the “Secret” knowledge discovered by Pythagoras).

The device appears to work like John Searl’s SEG, an over unity motor capable of producing strange side effects such as healing, antigravity and heat reduction around the device when throttled; it gets cold instead of hot when greater loads are applied.

What maybe more intriguing about this story is the intended uses of this technology. The Vril society wanted to travel to Aldebaran and further relations with the race there, whereas the Thule society wanted to use the technology to power civilization, but a more secretive group, apparently infiltrated both and had different intentions.
Some have said this darker group was the Order of the Black Sun, and their goal was to weaponize the technology into spacecraft capable of crushing the enemies of the seemingly all powerful Nazi empire. But when the allies began to defeat the Germans, this group began to breakaway from Germany, and apparently settled in South America and Antartica. (News flash, the Germans won the war. They were not overcome, arrested and tried. They were move into positions of power in the NWO.)

According to whistleblower Corey Goode, who claims to have worked in the modern day secret space program, the Germans found remnants of an advanced civilization in Antartica. He also says that the Virl Society was not making contact with beings from Aldebaran, but were in fact contacting a race of ancient humans (beings, not human) on Earth that fled underground tens of thousands of years ago, due to cataclysms and the fall of the surface population into ‘barbarism;’ so they claim. Ultimately which point perspective is correct remains unclear.
In my view, the following narrative puts into context the ideals and goals of the earlier origins of the Vril and Thule Society. And so it begins…
It started in England, back in 1589. A bright, young man of 19 years, William Lee, was in love with a girl who was preoccupied with knitting socks. Socks were an important item of clothing in the 16th Century and knitting them by hand was a slow but necessary process. When he was just 16, Lee was a prodigy who attended college at Cambridge on a full scholarship. He was a “discoverer” waiting to happen. Two years after graduation, Lee was an official of his home town when he met his love. He had not yet taken up his destiny and redirected history. But that would soon change.
Frustrated libido is a powerful motivator. Lee applied his intellect. He designed and built a machine that imitated his lover’s hand movements, producing the world’s first sock machine. This way, he could both impress her and liberate her.
When Lee presented his sock machine to Queen Elizabeth I, requesting a patent, she refused. She saw the potential for social disruption and expressed her concern for the country’s hand knitters. She also perhaps foresaw a frightening premonition of what a mechanized world would be like.
Lee eventually moved his machines to France with only limited success. He died in poverty — much like Nickola Tesla. And like Tesla, his invention did eventually change history. After Lee’s death, his brother James returned to England and started the first mechanized factories producing socks made from wool, cotton an silk. This was the time-thread that began the Industrial Revolution. [1]
Unrest and gloom covered the land.
Sixteenth Century life was simple but harsh. Most people were farmers, most likely working the fields of some elite. The average life expectancy was 35 years and half the population lived on the 
very edge of survival. The appearance of factories, urbanization and cheaply produced goods was an improvement for most people. But it didn’t last. The move from hand power to the steam engine changed urban areas to a filthy environment with a stench. Individuals worked long shifts doing repetitive tasks, in unhealthy conditions. Although their life expectancy nearly doubled and material produced in the factories was abundant, people were not happy. Periodic plagues and disease took their toll on the new centralized culture. [3] At the height of discontent, “anti-machine” and worker’s riots erupted in many countries as the consequences of an industrialized society were realized.
Although most groups moaned about the direction that our civilization had chosen, some groups became more pro-active. Karl Marx (1840) introduced the idea of common ownership — Marxism — where the workers were empowered as participants in the state. The profit-motive of the factory owner was replaced with new raison d’etre “for the good of the people.” This revolution against a miserable lifestyle and disparity of wealth eventually won acceptance as Communism replaced the elite Tsar in Russia and was creeping west across Europe.
The Germans suffered these same misgivings with the Industrial Revolution, but they chose a different solution. Rather than endure the nationalization of Germany’s industry through a Communist government, the National Socialists (Nationalsozialismus) designed a solution where privately owned industry would play a major role. Germany would reinvent itself — rise like the Phoenix — and citizens would serve the state with pride. Modeled after the Greek city-state of Sparta, the ideology captured the support of the industrialists and anti-Communists.
As it is true today, social stress sometimes leads people to become interested in religion or the occult as a means of escape. There was a fascination in pre-WWII Germany with archaeological reports about ancient Sumeria, the Ark of the Covenant, Oden and Wotan, Astarte, etc. People wanted to feel a connection to a time when Germany was stronger and prouder. There was great interest in knowing about our “spirit life” and learning how they could get back on the path to Utopia. Helena Blavatsky’s Theosophical Society and the Thule Society were the most influential occult groups.
At some point, the public became fixated on an old book called, The Coming Race. It was written in 1871 by “Anonymous,” but many believed the author to be Edward Bulwer-Lyttona. Originally considered as “science fiction”, many later readers believed that its account of a superior subterranean master race and the energy-form called “Vril” was real and accurate. Many Theosophists accepted the book as truth. Then something really strange happened.
Contact With Extraterrestrials
It was December of 1919. The head of the Thule Society, Karl Haushofer, had invited a handful of the most respected occultists to meet at a secluded cabin in the forest foothills of the Alps, near Berchtesgaden. (ok, forests are very powerful in the spirit realm as are Mountains)
We are going to take a little detour here and look a Berchtesgaden to see what we can learn.

But Perchta does more than just check up on your spinning. Other legends equate Frau Perchta with the legend of the Wild Hunt, and say that she flies through the night sky attended by an army of lost souls, including the demonic-looking Perchten, her army of servants who are visually nearly indistinguishable from Krampus.

The guests included a representative of the Knights Templar and a specialist in Asian artifacts. As they gathered together, Haushofer revealed a surprise. Two young and exceptionally beautiful women joined the group.
One of the young women was very quiet. She was barely 18 years old and, for some reason, her real identity was a guarded secret. She was introduced as “Sigrun”. Her significance will reveal itself later.
The other woman was Maria Orzich [right]. Aside from their stunning appearance, both had exceptionally long hair (contrary to the current vogue) that was worn in a ponytail. Haushofer introduced them as transe-mediums and announced that Maria had received a communication from an extraterrestrial civilization. Some of the communication was in the form of text — automatic writing — written by Maria in her altered state. She showed the group several pages with strange symbols.
Haushofer had the pages long enough before the meeting to have shown them around. He had determined that one was written in a secret Templar code while the other was in a “Sumerian alphabet”. Both had already been translated. The texts made some shocking claims, but offered 
proof of their validity — instructions on how to build an anti-gravity engine! Leaving no stone unturned, Haushofer even had the distinguished scientist, Victor Schauberger, review the physics of the design and literally sign off on its potential [right].
Maria explained that the civilization she contacted originated in the constellation Taurus (the Bull). In particular, they were from a planet that was in orbit around a star called Aldebaran. The engine works on an energy source that is called “vril”. Claims were made that the anti-gravity engine also has the ability to alter time. The texts are detailed enough so that the engine could be built, tested, and then used to transport worthy humans to their world for a meeting.
While the Thule Society was focused on mediumship and contact with the “other”, their main interest was in finding an alternative to the inhumane and unhealthy Industrial Revolution that affected the German population. The anti-gravity engine was, according to Maria, a “gift” from this advanced race for humanity so that energy would be plentiful and wars would be unnecessary. But the Thule Society wanted the engine for its time-travel potential. They dreamed of going back to the time when the “gods walked the earth” so they could learn more about spiritual truth.
The guests believed what Maria had revealed. They agreed to seek financial support to build the engine from wealthy industrialists who were members of the Thule Society and other occult groups. Maria was quickly tasked with convincing contributors to help with this project.
The Vril Engine is Built
Although they had the same objective — building the Vril engine — the Thule and Vril societies had different motives. The Thule Society was practical and foresaw a new energy source to exploit. The Vril were more concerned with making contact, learning from and potentially visiting the aliens on their world.
In 1922, Thule and Vril jointly produced the JFM (Jenseitsflugmaschine) or “Other World Flight Machine”. It was just the engine and was bench tested on a tether for two years. It was during this time that the antigravity and time distortion were noted. Without notice the JFM was abruptly taken apart and shipped off to the Augsburg works of Messerschmidt for “future use”.
The project had been led by Dr. W.O. Schumann (Technical University of Munich) who later developed a levitation unit from the research, which was called the Schumann-Munich or SM-Levitator. Dr. Schumann had an unusual view of science and technology, believing in two opposing principles: explosion (the work of Satan) and implosion (the Divine Principle). This idea was also held by the Templars (supposedly the “Secret” knowledge discovered by Pythagoras).

These two principles – the creative and the destructive – also determine our technical means…Everything destructive is of Satanic origin, everything creative is divine… Every technology based upon explosion or combustion has thus to be called Satanic. The coming new age will be an age of a new, positive, divine technology!…” Dr. Schumann (from SS archives).
The Vril engine did not consume, explode or destroy anything in its operation. It fit perfectly with the Thule philosophy and motivated Vril research as participation in this “Divine Pinciple.”
The Thule Society has been underestimated and virtually censored from our history books. Seemingly crazy laws outlaw the display or discussion of these societies in Europe today. But it is a fact that Thule was largely responsible for creating the Nazi Party — so much so that their occult symbols are synonymous with the Third Reich. The Swastika, lightening bolts of the SS and the 
Iron Cross, symbol of the “Black Sun” are but a few symbols with occult origins [above]. As Thule became more concerned with politics and power, the Vril maintained their esoteric quests. All of the Nazi leaders were members of Thule and later, after Maria Orzich’s revelation, joined Vril. Adolf Hitler, Alfred Rosenberg, Heinrich Himmler, Hermann Goring, and Hitler’s personal physician, Dr. Theodor Morell… all of the inner circle were Vril and Thule members.
The success of the JFM was wisely kept secret until 1933, when one of their own became the head of Germany. Hitler is said to have given the go to both Thule and Vril developing their own “Gesellschafts”. He understood that the technology was a potential weapon.
The Vril supervised development of the RFZ (Rundflugzeug) or “Round Aircraft” series in 1937 next to the Arado-Brandenburg aircraft facility. A series of RFZ discs were tested there, culminating in the RFZ-7.
Meanwhile, Thule was working with a special SS unit, E-IV, exploring how to exploit this apparently new energy. They had their own disc project in a secret location called Hauneburg — and it was not tethered. Beginning in 1935 their disc [above] was known as the H-Gerat (Hauneburg Device) — eventually shortened to Haunebu. In 1939 the disc’s Triebwerk(Thrustwork) engine was perfected. Haunebu-1 code named RFZ-5 when Thule moved it to the main testing facility in Arado-Brandenburg.
The Thule Triebwerk had an electro-magnetic-gravitic engine whose heart was a spinning tank of heated mercury and three parallel discs, rotating in opposite directions. Being a conductor, the mercury was made to interact with an electric field in such a way that it behaved like a superconductor and was able to isolate the immediate environment from local gravity effects.

Some recent thoughts have compared the anti-gravity observations of mono-atomic gold to what might be happening to the heated mercury. It has been noted that atoms not involved with cohesive bonds with other atoms — “solitary atoms” — gain back the energy usually expended in the bond and speed up and distort the orbits of their nuclear particles. These distortions somehow liberate the atoms from the effects of gravity.
The anti-gravity engine only isolated the craft from gravity. It did not really levitate it. Although the energy needed was greatly reduced because of the elimination of gravity, the disc craft still required some power to ascend and move through the atmosphere. Some versions of the disc had jet engines and reached 2900-12000km/h. The Thule group eventually designed magnetic-pulse thrusters that served to maneuver and propel the craft once they were in their anti-gravity state. As these magnetic thrusters had no “explosion” they were the ideal solution.
By 1944, Thule had produced the Haunebu I-III series — including some really large discs that were capable of carrying 200 troops — like the huge 139 meter long cylindrical mothership called the 
Andromeda-Gerat (Andromeda Device). The triumph of the Vril group was their 7th vehicle, Vril-7, designed specifically for interplanetary travel. As the war turned in favor of the Allies, Thule moved their production facilities to a deep mine in Poland. They continued work on their discs with slave labor until the very end, at which time the mine was flooded then collapsed to prevent Allies from gaining access. It’s believed that any discs that were at this facility were flown away, but some think at least one or two were captured. The site shows the foundation of a large electric generator with conduits leading to the center of a large concrete platform, still there today [right].
Vril also made plans to evacuate, but their plans were a bit more elaborate. They had their best “interplanetary” disc — Vril 7 — ready to take them to safety in a most unlikely place. Over the years since Maria Orsich had made contact, the Vril had learned much about their telepathic, alien counterparts. In fact, the Vril’s information about the aliens had already transformed the war effort with submarines and supply boats diverting resources to — of all places — Antarctica.
Aldebaran Civilization: Been there, done that…
According to the Vril mediums, the race of people they had telepathically contacted were from one of two inhabited planets that orbited an old star, called Aldebaran, 68 light years away in the constellation we know of as Taurus, the Bull. On historical artifacts, they are always depicted with horns [right]. They made contact because they had been observing human activity, specifically noting our war-like behavior. They decided to give humanity a “Gift” (the Vril engine) to eliminate the competition for resources and energy — the cause of human conflict.
Millions of years ago, the Aldebaran people had evolved to utilize “vril energy” — akin to our understanding of electricity, but taken to an extreme. They had developed mental abilities such that they were able to interact with this vril energy, using it for creative or destructive purposes.
In the course of their Sun’s life, it had expanded to become a Red Giant. The environmental conditions on the inhabited planets caused biological stress and some of their race degenerated to where they lost their mental abilities to use vril. When they realized this, they quickly isolated the pure Aldebaran race from those that degenerated and became strict about breeding and associating with the inferior strains.
As the environment of their solar system deteriorated, the “elite” Aldebarans evacuated their race — both pure-lines and inferiors — to other inhabited worlds. Earth was one of these.
Although these thins were reported at the turn of the last century, well before Zecharia Sitchin made the Sumerian legends popular, it is easy to see that this same story is contained in the ancient Sumerian legends. Like Sitchin’s theory, the Aldebaran’s noted the destructive effects of a “dark sun” that enters our solar system every 3,600 years and noted that, upon one cycle, the Earth became uninhabitable. The Aldebaran race retreated from the surface to a subterranean “cavity” located under the continent of Antarctica, from where they have been observing and attempting to control human destiny.

In the 1957 case, agents at Detroit recorded that they had spoken with a man who was “…born February 19, 1926, in the State of Warsaw, Poland, and was brought from Poland as a Prisoner of War to Gut Alt Golssen approximately 30 miles east of Berlin, Germany, in May 1942, where he remained until a few weeks after the end of World War II.
This vehicle, observed from approximately 500 feet, was described as circular in shape, 75 to 100 yards in diameter, and about 14 feet high, consisting of dark gray stationary top and bottom sections, five to six feet high. The approximate three foot middle section appeared to be a rapidly moving component producing a continuous blur similar to an aeroplane propeller, but extending the circumference of the vehicle so far as could be observed. The noise emanating from the vehicle was similar but of somewhat lower pitch than the noise previously heard. During the war, especially the latter part, German U-boats made frequent trips to the South Atlantic, South America, and Antarctica. Germany also set up floating meteorological buoys in Antarctic waters and weather stations on islands located between Antarctica and the tip of South America. The SS RuSHA, (Rasse und SeidlungsHauptAmt- Race and Settlement Bureau) began in 1942 to take women of Aryan decent (Volksdeutsch) from the Ukraine solely for the purpose of transporting them to Base 211.
Ten thousand women between the ages of 17-24, blonde and well proportioned, were recruited for the project along with 2,500 Waffen SS soldiers serving in Russia.
The goal of this massive undertaking was to create a colony at Base 211 suitable for habitation and continued development of the Thule-Vril technology. It is believed that both the Thule and Vril Gesellschafts evacuated that technology to Base 211 at the close of the war under SS General Kammler, who was in charge of Germany’s most secret weapons programs.
Two U-boats that surrendered after the war in Argentina are also believed to have carried cargo and high-ranking SS to Base 211. Both boats were empty upon surrender with the crews refusing to disclose their cargos and destinations.
Operation High Jump… looking for Nazis?
In 1947 the US Navy under Admiral Byrd conducted Operation High Jump. The expedition to Antarctica involved 4000 naval personnel and 13 huge ships, including several large airplanes and helicopters. The goal was to map and catalog all of the coastline of the continent, including minerals and wildlife. The entire expedition was to last 6 months.
During the expedition a base was established at Little America, a coastal bay, and a tent city was constructed where aircraft could be maintained for the survey. Several teams of explorers were sent out to various corners of Antarctica with large format cameras for the photographic survey. When the crew photographing the region directly Southwest of the Australian continent arrived for their mission they were shocked. They radioed back that the coastal region was free of ice and that the water was 38F. They continued to take photographs and later returned to process the images.
The image above is readily available to anyone using google-earth and the coordinates provided. I suggest you try to examine this location at an angle instead of just straight down, and maintain the true North. The entrance appears to be about 180 feet wide by 230 feet high. Outside there are some straight surfaces which appear man made.
Immediately after this event the entire expedition was halted and all ships and Naval personnel were made to return to the States. The results of the mission are still classified, after 60 years. Only Admiral Byrd, who was interviewed by a Chilean journalist on his trip home from the expedition, commented on the sudden return home. He stated that there was a danger which this expedition had encountered that posed a threat to every nation in the free world. He declined to elaborate on this.

Tell me More About Adolf Hitler and WWII
The planning of the Second World War started when Adolf Hitler joined a secret society called the Thule Society in 1919. It was in this group that he found the perverted beliefs that were later to lead him in his control of the German government.
In the Thule Society: “… the sun played a prime role... as a sacred symbol of the Aryans, in contrast to… the moon, revered by the Semitic peoples. The Fuhrer saw in the Jewish people, with their black hair and swarthy complexions, the dark side of the human species, whilst the blond and blue-eyed Aryans constituted the light side of humanity. … Hitler undertook to extirpate from the material world its impure elements.”1
In addition to sun (or light) worship, the Thule Society also practiced Satan worship: “The inner core within the Thule Society were all Satanists who practiced Black Magic.”2
The Society was not a working-man’s group as it included amongst its members: “judges, police-chiefs, barristers, lawyers, university professors and lecturers, aristocratic families, leading industrialists, surgeons, physicians, scientists, as well as a host of rich and influential bourgeois.… “3
The membership of the Thule Society also became the foundation of the Nazi Party: “… the Committee and the forty original members of the New German Workers’ Party were all drawn from the most powerful occult society in Germany—the Thule Society.“4
One of the founders of both groups, the Nazi Party and the Thule Society, was Dietrich Eckart: “a dedicated Satanist, the supreme adept of the arts and rituals of Black Magic and the central figure in a powerful and wide-spread circle of occultists—the Thule Group. (He was] one of the seven founder members of the Nazi Party….”
Eckart claimed to be the initiator of Hitler into the secrets of Satan worship. He is quoted as saying on his deathbed: “Follow Hitler. He will dance, but it is I who have called the tune! I have initiated him into the ‘Secret Doctrine;’ opened his centres in vision and given him the means to communicate with the Powers. Do not mourn for me: I shall have influenced history more than any German.”
But it was not just the Thule Society that gave Hitler the support he needed to become the leader of the German government. There were additional sources of Hitler’s strength. One who offered an explanation of Hitler’s easy rise to power was Walter Langer, a noted psychoanalyst. Langer wrote in his book The Mind of Adolf Hitler that it was his theory that Hitler was himself one-quarter Jewish and the grandson of a Rothschild. He wrote:
There is a great deal of confusion in studying Hitler’s family tree. Adolf’s father, Alois Hitler, was the illegitimate son of Maria Anna Schicklgruber. It was generally supposed that the father of Alois Hitler was Johann Georg Hiedler…. Alois, however, was not legitimized, and he bore his mother’s name until he was forty years of age when he changed it to Hitler.
A peculiar series of events, prior to Hitler’s birth, furnishes plenty of food for speculation.
There are some people who seriously doubt that Johann Georg Hiedler was the father of Alois. Thyssen and Koehler, for example, claim that Chancellor Dolfuss (the Chancellor of Austria) had ordered the Austrian police to conduct a thorough investigation into the Hitler family. As a result of this investigation a secret document was prepared that proved Maria Anna Shicklgruber was living in Vienna at the time she conceived.
At that time she was employed as a servant in the home of Baron Rothschild. As soon as the family discovered her pregnancy she was sent back to her home in Spital where Alois was bom.5
In a postscript in Langer’s book, Robert G.L. Waite adds this comment:
“But even when Langer is mistaken and his guesses prove incorrect, he is often on the right track.
Consider his hint that Hitler’s grandfather might have been a Jew. There is no reason to believe the unlikely story told by Langer’s informant that Hitler’s grandmother Maria Anna Schickelgruber, a peasant woman in her forties from the Waldvietral of rural Austria, had had an intimate liason with a Baron Rothschild in Vienna.
But Hitler had worried that he might be blackmailed over a Jewish grandfather and ordered his private lawyer, Hans Frank, to investigate his paternal lineage.
Frank did so and told the Fuehrer that his grandmother had become pregnant while working as a domestic servant in a Jewish household in Graz.
The facts of this matter are in dispute—and a very lengthy dispute it has been. The point of overriding psychological and historical importance is not whether it is true that Hitler had a Jewish grandfather, but whether he believed that it might be true.
He did so believe and the fact shaped both his personality and his public policy.6
It is possible that Hitler discovered his Jewish background and his relation to the Rothschilds, and aware of their enormous power to make or break European governments, re-established contact with the family. This would partially explain the enormous support he received from the international banking fraternity, closely entwined with the Rothschild family, as he rose to power.
One thing is certain, however. Hitler started World War II by moving into Austria first. It has been theorized that he moved into this country for two reasons. First, he wanted to silence Dolfuss who Hitler believed knew that he was a descendant of the Rothschilds, and secondly, he wished to remove all traces of his ancestry from the Austrian records.

At first glance, the large circular room in the basement of Wewelsburg Castle appears to be harmless enough. Smooth, finely cut stones pave the floor. Glistening rock walls arch majestically towards a high vaulted ceiling.
In the centre of the room lies a sunken circular altar with polished steps leading towards a burnt and cracked stone. From here you can see thirteen lanterns flickering on the curved walls. But it’s only when you look directly upwards that the room’s significance becomes shockingly clear. At the centre of the dome lies a giant swastika.
This room was the central temple of the Satanic cult that created and directed Germany’s Nazi party. This so called Vril Society counted many of Hitler’s henchmen as members, including Himmler, Bormann, and Hess. Central to the whole cult was Hitler, who they believed to be a psychic medium in contact with powerful forces that would create an all-conquering Aryan nation. Some saw him as the Dark Messiah.
Historians have tended to downplay the occult foundations of Nazism for fear of trivialising its heinous war crimes, but a recent documentary on the Discovery Channel laid bare the untold story of the secretive religion at the heart of fascist Germany. And bizarrely, it is thought to have been based on a 19th Century science fiction novel that predicted flying saucers, an alien race at the centre of the earth, and a mysterious force known as Vril.
“Occult myths played a central role in Nazism,” says Professor Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke, head of the Centre for the Study of Esotericism at Exeter University. “When we look at these ideas today, we think of them as crazy, but they were central to the early Nazi Party and through them played a critical role in 20th century history.”
“The Vril society was dedicated to evil,” says historian Michael Fitzgerald. “Through their control of the Nazi party they committed the greatest acts of evil in the 20th Century.
“Vril occultists worked in complete secrecy doing anything that would promote Aryan power. This ranged from straightforward political assassinations, through to evoking the spirits of the dead, human sacrifice and summoning mysterious energies – or Vril – through sexual orgies.”
To understand why the Nazi party was so obsessed with the occult and Satanism, you have to travel back to Victorian times. In the late 19th Century, Germany in common with Britain, was obsessed with the occult. It was a time when no self-respecting hostess would dream of holding a dinner party without a séance to round off the evening.
There was also huge interest in eastern mysticism and ‘prophets’ of occult religions, such as Madame Blavatsky (Aleister Crowley, A. E. Waite, Dion Fortune), were household names. Blavatsky believed that Europeans were descended from a race of angel-like creatures known as Aryans. They claimed that the Aryans had used mysterious psychic forces to build the pyramids, Atlantis and a network of cities beneath Antarctica. What’s more, their descendants were to be found in the Himalayas and their sign was the swastika – the ancient Hindu good luck symbol.
These myths and more were crystallised in the science-fiction novel The Coming Race. In this, Edward Bulwer-Lytton told of a strange people called the Vril-Ya that lived at the centre of the Earth. They wielded fantastic power using a mysterious force known as Vril, which they also used to propel flying saucers.
The Coming Race and its attendant barmy mysticism would have sunk into obscurity if it hadn’t been for the First World War. At the end of the war, Germany was plunged into violent anarchy and a host of extremist politicians and cult leaders stepped into the breach and battled for power. Chief of these was the occult Thule Society – and its inner sect, the Vril Society.
The Vril Society was noted for it’s use of orgies to summon up occult energies – and to father a ‘master race’ of children to repopulate a devastated Germany. It is said that women in such orgies would become possessed by spirits and begin speaking in tongues. And their prophesies were treated with deadly seriousness.
“But the darkest side of the Vril was their propensity for sacrificing young children,” says Michael Fitzgerald, author of Stormtroopers of Satan. “They would stab them in the chest and cut their throats.
“At the height of their power in 1920s Munich, hundreds of children disappeared. Many are presumed to have been killed by the cult to summon up Vril energy. This may seem like an outlandish claim but when you consider what these people went on to do in the Third Reich, it seems almost tame.”
Central to the Vril Society was the search for a German Messiah who would lead the Aryan’s to world domination and exterminate all other races – especially the Jews. And his rise was predicted by a spirit calling itself the “Beast of the Book of Revelation.”
In a séance attended by the cult followers Alfred Rosenberg and Dietrich Eckart, the Beast is said to have proclaimed that a man named “Hitler” would seize the “Spear of Destiny” and lead the Aryans to power. And within a few weeks, a fiery young man of shabby appearance began attending Thule Society meetings. His name was Adolf Hitler.
The Society was quick to spot Hitler’s potential and to exploit his astonishing personal magnetism. He could transform crowds into hysterical worshippers and mesmerise even the strongest of men. Power seemed to course through him, with waves of emotion whipping up those around him into a frenzy. At times, he seemed possessed.
Hitler was fascinated by the occult. He was a devotee of astrology, numerology, psychic mediumship, hypnosis and water divining. In short, the young Adolf would try anything that might foretell the future or give him control over others.
It was in the Thule Society that Hitler met those who would help him take over Germany and wage the Second World War. Rudolf Hess, Heinrich Himmler, Martin Bormann, Dietrich Eckart, Alfred Rosenberg, and Hermann Goering were all said to be members. It was these, along with Hitler, who used the Thule Society – and it’s inner sect the Vril Society – to launch and promote the Nazi Party.
But even amongst this sinister group, there was an inner core who were even more evil, if that is conceivable.
“Bormann was an avowed Satanist, says Michael Fitzgerald. “Bormann, together with Rosenberg and Himmler, wanted to destroy Christianity and replace it with a truly occult religion of their own making. And along with the Thule Society, they created a political party that would try and do just that.”
When Hitler led the Nazi party to power in 1933, members of the sect occupied all key positions. Hess became Deputy Fuhrer, Rosenberg became Minister of the Third Reich, Bormann was Chief of the Nazi Party Chancellery, Himmler was head of the SS and Gestapo, and Goering, Commander of the Luftwaffe. Only the deceased Dietrich Eckart, whom Hitler dedicated Mein Kampf to, failed to join them.
As soon as they gained power the Nazis began preparing for world domination. Their first act was to re-arm – a clear breach of the Treaty of Versailles, which formally ended the First World War. Whilst the protests from Britain and France were loud and shrill, Hitler guessed correctly that the Allies would shy away from war. In 1938, Hitler annexed Austria. Again, he was appeased. And by the following year, most of Europe lay under his rule and Britain was in his sights.
Central to the Nazi ideology was the establishment of a thousand year Reich. This was to be done by perverting history and creating a new religion based on Aryan mythology – the same mythology propagated by the Victorian occult ‘prophets’ and the science fiction novel The Coming Race.
To do this, Himmler set up an occult research bureau under the wings of the SS, known as the Ahnenerbe. This was instructed to prove German racial superiority by linking them to the mythical race of ancient Aryans. It also hoped to uncover lost magical artefacts such as the Holy Grail and the Spear of Destiny. This, you will recall, was the spear used to kill Jesus as he hung on the cross.
“It’s also possible they were looking for the Ark of the Covenant in Ethiopia,” says Michael Fitzgerald. “They were obviously hoping to use its reputed magical powers for their own ends.”
The Ahnenerbe mounted a series of huge expeditions to search for ancient Aryan cities in the Himalayas, the Middle East and Bolivia. The organisation looted artefacts from ancient sites around the world. It’s no surprise then, that the Ahnenerbe was the inspiration for the Nazi archaeologists in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
The Ahnenerbe devoted considerable efforts to exploring paranormal phenomena, such as ESP, psychokinesis, water divining, astrology and black magic. In fact, the organisation spent around £10 billion in today’s money on research. That’s about the same as the Allies spent on the atomic bomb programme.
Very little of the Ahnenerbe’s work was of practical wartime use, although the German Navy is said to have used diviners to seek out Allied warships and convoys in the North Atlantic.
“They were initially quite successful,” says Michael Fitzgerald. “But they became so overworked, especially towards the end of the war, that they began to fail.”
Forecasting the future was a central preoccupation of the Nazis. The Ahnenerbe employed astrologers, rune diviners and a host of psychics to try and fathom the future. One astrologer, Karl Krafft, quickly rose to prominence after correctly predicting the 1939 Munich assassination attempt against Hitler.
Hitler believed that the astrological forecast and his survival was proof that the occult Gods supported his “Final Solution”. It left him in a state of mystical exaltation. It is Providence’s intention to allow me to reach my goal.” Through the Ahnenerbe the Nazi’s began to creating an occult civilisation to supplant our Christian one.
“They began by indoctrinating the Hitler Youth with Satanic ideologies,” says Michael Fitzgerald. “Children and the future leaders of the SS were taught that compassion was weakness. They were encouraged to celebrate pagan festivals and to carry out occult ceremonies.
“Himmler named himself the Black Jesuit – and he meant it. He laid plans to establish pagan temples across Germany after the war. These would replace churches. And on every altar there would be a copy of Hitler’s Mein Kampf.”
A new religious city centred around Wewelsburg Castle was planned. It was to be an occult Vatican dedicated to all things evil. Colleges would educate Germany’s future leaders in the occult, such as psychic mediumship, hypnosis and divination. Museums and galleries would house such artefacts as the Holy Grail, the Spear of Destiny and the Ark of the Covenant. And there would be research labs dedicated to finding new energies – such as Vril – to power spaceships to the stars.
To the modern eye, the Nazi preoccupation with the occult seems completely deranged. Were they simply insane or was something more sinister at work? It is tempting to write them off as insane, but some believe Hitler was truly possessed by evil forces.

A few days ago I Tweeted Alan Stern, Principal Investigator for New Horizons, when we would be seeing something new, but so far he has not responded.
Yesterday NASA announced that the object previously known as Ultima Thule ((486958) 2014 MU69) will now be officially known as 486958 Arrokoth.
Arrokoth is fittingly a Native American term meaning “sky” in the Powhatan/Algonquian language.

And now, after scientists were finally able to “catch their breaths,” as Stern put it, a new official name has been given to an object nearly four billion miles away from any Nazi connection.“I think Arrokoth is going to work even better because it’s such a great trifecta of confluence about America and indigenous Americans and people from Maryland who were at the heart of our project and the concept of sky and flight. “The team, which is based out in the John Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory in Maryland, wanted to find a name that had a special connection to Maryland, and since “all objects in the Kuiper belt are named after creation deities,” according to Stern, finding a name used by indigenous people who were from Maryland was the perfect fit.”Maryland has played such an important role in this mission. From the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab to NASA people at NASA Goddard to the Space Telescope Institute, let’s find a creation deity from indigenous Americans who populated Maryland long ago,” Stern said.So, they just admitted that “all objects in the Kuiper belt are named after creation deities” and that they we looking to “find a creation deity from indigenous Americans”. They chose a word from the Powhatan Tribe who were Algonquin Indians. Algonquin Indians are directly linked to GERMANS and CELTS. If they were trying to disassociate from THULE, why would they choose a sky god from a German tribe?

So where did the idea for Ultima Thule come from? Back in 2017, scientists put up a public vote to decide what nickname to give to 2014 MU69, the official name given by the International Astronomical Union. Ultima Thule became the winner, despite scientists being unaware of the Nazi connection at the time, according to Stern. But even after they were made aware, Stern and others still decided to keep the nickname until a new official name could replace it.But the names for this awesome object haven’t been so great. Its initial name was (486958) MU69, MU69 for short, was a perfectly nice name if you ask me.

Far, Far Away in the Sky: New Horizons Kuiper Belt Flyby Object Officially Named ‘Arrokoth’

In a fitting tribute to the farthest flyby ever conducted by spacecraft, the Kuiper Belt object 2014 MU69 has been officially named Arrokoth, a Native American term meaning “sky” in the Powhatan/Algonquian language.
With consent from Powhatan Tribal elders and representatives, NASA’s New Horizons team – whose spacecraft performed the record-breaking reconnaissance of Arrokoth four billion miles from Earth – proposed the name to the International Astronomical Union and Minor Planets Center, the international authority for naming Kuiper Belt objects. The name was announced at a ceremony today at NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC.
(Seriously? They have an international naming authority just for the Kuiper Belt? Are you kidding? That should tell you something. These names are very important to the elite. They have full control over them and the names they select and/or approve are symbolically and spiritually important!)
“The name ‘Arrokoth’ reflects the inspiration of looking to the skies and wondering about the stars and worlds beyond our own,” said Alan Stern, New Horizons principal investigator from Southwest Research Institute, Boulder, Colorado. “That desire to learn is at the heart of the New Horizons mission, and we’re honored to join with the Powhatan community and people of Maryland in this celebration of discovery.”
New Horizons launched in January 2006; it then zipped past Jupiter for a gravity boost and scientific studies in February 2007 and conducted an historic first flight through the Pluto system on July 14, 2015. The spacecraft continued its unparalleled voyage on New Year’s 2019 with the exploration of Arrokoth – which the team had nicknamed “Ultima Thule” — a billion miles beyond Pluto, and the farthest flyby ever conducted.
Arrokoth is one of the thousands of known small icy worlds in the Kuiper Belt, the vast “third zone” of the solar system beyond the inner terrestrial planets and the outer gas giant planets. It was discovered in 2014 by a New Horizons team – which included Marc Buie, of the Southwest Research Institute – using the powerful Hubble Space Telescope.
“Data from the newly-named Arrokoth, has given us clues about the formation of planets and our cosmic origins,” said Buie. “We believe this ancient body, composed of two distinct lobes that merged into one entity, may harbor answers that contribute to our understanding of the origin of life on Earth.”
In accordance with IAU naming conventions, the discovery team earned the privilege of selecting a permanent name for the celestial body. The team used this convention to associate the culture of the native peoples who lived in the region where the object was discovered; in this case, both the Hubble Space Telescope (at the Space Telescope Science Institute) and the New Horizons mission (at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory) are operated out of Maryland — a tie to the significance of the Chesapeake Bay region to the Powhatan people.
“We graciously accept this gift from the Powhatan people,” said Lori Glaze, director of NASA’s Planetary Science Division. “Bestowing the name Arrokoth signifies the strength and endurance of the indigenous Algonquian people of the Chesapeake region. Their heritage continues to be a guiding light for all who search for meaning and understanding of the origins of the universe and the celestial connection of humanity.” (as in ties to the Fallen Angels, ancient spirits who ruled all pagan peoples.)
The Pamunkey Reservation in King William County, Virginia, is the oldest American Indian reservation in the U.S. — formed by a treaty with England in the 1600s and finally receiving federal recognition in July 2015. The Pamunkey tribe and its village were significant in the original Powhatan Confederacy; today, Pamunkey tribal members work collaboratively with other Powhatan tribes in Virginia and also have descendants who are members of the Powhatan-Renape Nation in New Jersey. Many direct descendants still live on the Pamunkey reservation, while others have moved to Northern Virginia, Maryland, D.C., New York and New Jersey.
The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, Maryland, designed, built and operates the New Horizons spacecraft, and manages the mission for NASA’s Science Mission Directorate. NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Planetary Management Office, in Huntsville, Alabama, provides the NASA oversight for the New Horizons. The Southwest Research Institute, based in San Antonio, directs the mission via Principal Investigator Stern, and leads the science team, payload operations and encounter science planning. New Horizons is part of the New Frontiers Program managed by NASA’s MSFC.
