Yes throughout our lives we are bombarded with images and references to “Mother Nature” or “Mother Earth”. It is so deeply ingrained in us that I hear even people who consider themselves “Christian” refer to “Mother Earth” or “Mother Nature” as if they are real beings who create the weather or provide the harvest. ARE WE KIDDING?? Americans are so far removed from reality they have forgotten where our food comes from and who provides our safety, our income, our children. Honestly, I am baffled.
Pagans have been worshiping the EARTH/Creation for centuries. They have created a personification called “Mother” and they venerate the Earth. This has only become even more ingrained through the science and their theory of evolution. When people believe their ancestors crawled out of a dingy swamp, what can you expect??
However, contrary to popular belief, GOD IS NOT A WOMAN! He very clearly identifies himself to us as our Father. HE is the CREATOR of ALL things and our provider. Because he manifested himself in the flesh and paid for our failure in the garden, we are now free from the bondage of sin and death and we are cleansed and given clean garments whereby we can come right into the throne room of GOD and fellowship with him. When we fail and fall, we have an advocate with the FATHER, HIS PRECIOUS SON and we have the HELPER HIS SON HAS PROVIDED which is the HOLY SPIRIT who empowers us to walk uprightly and who leads us to all truth and on the path to heaven.
We have no need of ANY OTHER intercessor or savior or guide. But, let’s take a look at the way the world views the Earth Mother.

“Mother Nature” is a rather antiquated way of referring to the natural world. It seems ridiculous to anthropomorphize something so huge and diffuse, let alone to assign it a gender.
But new research from China suggests that reviving this image could inspire people to act in more environmentally conscious ways.
“Our results show a robust implicit association between women and nature,” writes a research team led by Ting Liu of Nanjing University. “The metaphor ‘Mother Earth’ builds on this association and leads to increases [in] one’s connection with nature, which in turn leads to increases in pro-environmental behavior.”
After all, who wants to disappoint their mother?
In the Journal of Environmental Psychology, the researchers describe five studies that reveal this association and its potentially beneficial implications for policy. The key study featured 175 Nanjing University students: 87 women and 88 men.
Participants read one of three versions of a news story about an “environmental crisis.” The first used the term “mother nature” in both the headline and text, and reinforced the idea by using feminine pronouns when referring to the natural world. The second referred to “father nature” and used masculine pronouns, while the third used the unadorned term “nature” and impersonal, gender-neutral pronouns.
Afterwards, the students completed a questionnaire in which they indicated their likeliness to engage in a variety of green behaviors, including recycling, conserving water, and doing volunteer work for a pro-environment campaign.
Those who had read about “mother nature” were significantly more likely than those in the other two groups to report that they intended to take action to save the environment. References to “father nature” did not have the same inspiring effect.
A follow-up study found that these results were partly due to the fact that those exposed to the “mother” concept felt a stronger sense of connectedness to nature.
The results suggest that anthropomorphizing nature as a mom “could be a relatively low-cost but useful strategy in environmental promotion.” They suggest that ads or public-service announcements promoting green behaviors should consider including elements “such as a female face and body characteristics” to reinforce the connection between nature and femininity.
The researchers acknowledge that the effect they have demonstrated draws its power from an offensive cliché.
“The woman-nature association reminds participants of the need to protect women and nature,” they write. “We need to think about how to make a trade-off between promoting pro-environmental behavior and stereotyping females” as weak creatures who must be guarded from harm.
But if misogyny is going to remain with us for a while—as seems highly likely—we’d might as well put it to positive use. It’s hard to deny that the biggest problem facing women and nature alike is the conquest mentality of so many men.
Anyone who has studied the global environmental movement has no doubt heard the term “Gaia“. Gaia is a revival of Paganism that rejects Christianity, considers Christianity its biggest enemy, and views the Christian faith as its only obstacle to a global religion centered on Gaia worship and the uniting of all life forms around the goddess of “Mother Earth“. A cunning mixture of science, paganism, eastern mysticism, and feminism have made this pagan cult a growing threat to the Christian Church. Gaia worship is at the very heart of today’s environmental policy. The Endangered Species Act, The United Nation’s Biodiversity Treaty and the Presidents Council on Sustainable Development are all offspring of the Gaia hypothesis of saving “Mother Earth”. This religious movement, with cult-like qualities, is being promoted by leading figures and organizations such as former Vice President Albert Gore, broadcaster Ted Turner, and the United Nations and it’s various NGO’s. Al Gore’s book “Earth in the Balance” is just one of many books that unabashedly proclaims the deity of Earth and blames the falling away from this Pagan God on the environmentally unfriendly followers of Jesus Christ. The United Nations has been extremely successful in infusing the “Green Religion” into an international governmental body that has an increasing affect and control over all of our lives.
So, what is this new cult of Gaia? It is basically a rehashed, modernized version of the paganism condemned by God in the Bible. Science, evolution theory, and a space age mentality have given it a new face, and made it sound more credible to a modern world, but it is the same paganism in all of its evils. There have been other religious movements that have presented similar revelations about the deity of a living earth, but Gaia has succeeded in uniting the environmental movement, the new age movement, Eastern religions, and even the leaders of many Christian denominations behind a bastardized version of paganism where the others weren’t able to.
The Gaia hypothesis can be credited to James Lovelock. Lovelock worked for NASA during the 1960’s as a consultant to the “life on Mars” Viking spacecraft project. Lovelock’s theory claims that the earth’s “biota”, tightly coupled with its environment, act as a single, self regulating living system in such a way as to maintain the conditions that are suitable for life. This living system, he believed, was the result of a meta-life form that occupied our planet billions of years ago and began a process of transforming this planet into its own substance. All of the lifeforms on this planet, according to Lovelock, are a part of Gaia – a part of one spirit goddess that sustains life on earth. Since this transformation into a living system, he theorizes, the interventions of Gaia have brought about the evolving diversity of living creatures on planet Earth. From Lovelock’s perspective in space he saw not a planet, but a self-evolving and self-regulating living system. His theory presents earth not as the rock that it is, but as a living being. He named this being Gaia, after the Greek goddess that was once believed to have drawn the living world forth from Chaos.
The idea of Earth as a living, divine spirit is not a new one. Plato said “We shall affirm that the cosmos, more than anything else, resembles most closely that living Creature of which all other living creatures, severally or genetically, are portion; a living creature which is fairest of all and in ways most perfect.” As today’s version of paganism, Gaia is eagerly accepted by the new age movement and fits neatly into eastern mysticism, but science was needed to gather in the evolutionists and science-minded humanists. For these people, Gaia was made palatable by Lovelock’s Daisyworld model, a mathematical and scientific theory designed to refute the criticisms of Darwin’s groupies. Just as evolution eliminates the need for a divine creator, the Daisyworld model provided a theory of evolving life on earth that incorporates natural selection with a world that is interconnected. It eliminates a personal yet separate God, and makes humans a part of the divine spirit that is Gaia.
More appealing to the New Agers and the interfaith movement is the mystical side of Gaia. They can easily relate to the belief that humans can have mystical experiences or a spiritual relationship with Gaia. A connectedness to nature and the belief that humans are a part of this collective consciousness called Gaia appeals to them. Gaia teaches that an “Earth spirit”, goddess, or planetary brain must be protected. It is this belief that fuels the environmental movement, sustainable development, and a global push for the return of industrialized nations to a more primitive way of life. Just as with the evolutionists, the humanists, and the other pagan religions of the world, Gaia has named Christianity as the obstacle to human evolution and our spiritual destiny. A document mandated by the U.N.-sponsored Convention on Biological Diversity, the Global Biodiversity Assessment, explicitly refers to Christianity as a faith that has set humans apart from nature and stripped nature of its sacred qualities. The document states:
Conversion to Christianity has therefore meant an abandonment of an affinity with the natural world for many forest dwellers, peasants, fishers all over the world …The northeastern hilly states of India bordering China and Myanmar supported small scale, largely autonomous shifting cultivator societies until the 1950’s. These people followed their own religious traditions that included setting apart between 10% and 30% of the landscape as sacred groves and ponds.1
While condemning Christianity as the root of all ecological evil, the document goes on to praise Buddhism and Hinduism as they “did not depart as drastically from the perspective of humans as members of a community of beings including other living and non-living elements”. Non-Christian religions are definitely favored by the global government as good stewards of Mother Earth.
Members of this “Green Religion” will all agree that the Earth is in a crisis state and this ecological emergency is the result of Christian traditions. They believe that the Judeo Christian belief that God assigned man to rule over the earth has caused us to exploit and abuse it. Monotheism, they assert, has separated humans from their ancient connection to the earth, and to reverse this trend governments, the media, our education system, artists, and other areas of influence must revive earth-centered myth and reconnect us to Earth’s spirit. Al Gore, in his book Earth in the Balance, expounds on this view:
“The richness and diversity of our religious tradition throughout history is a spiritual resource long ignored by people of faith, who are often afraid to open their minds to teachings first offered outside their own systems of belief. But the emergence of a civilization in which knowledge moves freely and almost instantaneously through the world has spurred a renewed investigation of the wisdom distilled by all faiths. This panreligious perspective may prove especially important where our global civilization’s responsibility for the earth is concerned.” (pp. 258-259)
Gore praises the Eastern religions and new age spiritualism, while blaming Christianity for the elimination of the ancient goddess religion, and calls for a new spiritual relationship between man and earth.
“The spiritual sense of our place in nature predates Native American cultures; increasingly it can be traced to the origins of human civilization. A growing number of anthropologists and archaeomythologists, such as Marija Gimbutas and Riane Esler argue that the prevailing ideology of belief in prehistoric Europe and much of the world was based on the worship of a single earth goddess, who was assumed to be the fount of all life and who radiated harmony among all living things. Much of the evidence for the existence of this primitive religion comes from the many thousands of artifacts uncovered in ceremonial sites. These sites are so widespread that they seem to confirm the notion that a goddess religion was ubiquitous through much of the world until the antecedents of today’s religions, most of which still have a distinctly masculine orientation…swept out of India and the Near East, almost obliterating belief in the goddess. The last vestige of organized goddess worship was eliminated by Christianity as late as the fifteenth century in Lithuania.”
If Gore had read the Bible he would know exactly why Christians will not open their mind to these other beliefs as he suggests. The Bible very clearly warns us not to.
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority.” Colossians 2:6-10
Gore also might want to read Romans 1:18 – 25:
“The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the creator – who is forever praised. Amen.
When men began to worship the creation instead of the Creator, the wrath of God was revealed. As societies begin again to turn from the truth of the creation and worship nature, “Mother Earth”, or any other deceiving spirit, the evil and deception in their new religion will be made evident by God’s response.

Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
Our societies today are becoming a picture of this wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. As the Christian church is brought into the fold by organizations such as the National Council of Churches and the National Religious Partnership for the Environment, we can be sure the results will be a further decline into immorality and chaos. There is a drive by these organizations and others to meld Earth worship with Christianity in the name of tolerance, biodiversity, sustainability, and the preservation of Mother Earth. It is a battle for Christianity and an attack on biblical truth. When this pagan agenda reaches your church or your community, how will you respond? Will you speak up for the truth of God or will you exchanged the glory of the immortal God for a global compromise that is leading countless people into spiritual darkness? As followers of Jesus Christ we know the truth and must boldly proclaim it. The opposition is fierce and to those who don’t know the joy of a relationship with God, it is an appealing proposition. It is accepting of everything, intolerant of nothing, it deifies the environmentalist, worships the feminist, eliminates all responsibility for sin, and frees you to embrace your sinful nature. The truth of the Bible must first be taught in our churches, and then shared with the world. As churches begin to fall away from the faith and corrupt the Word of God, it is left to Bible-believing Christians to stand up for the truth, contend for our faith, and offer to the world an alternative to God’s wrath. If we are ashamed of our faith, if we compromise our beliefs, and if we hide in our churches and ignore what is going on outside of them, we are aiding in our own destruction and countless souls will be lost because of our complacency, selfishness, and inaction.
“For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of god, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, but the power of god, who has saved us and called us to a holy life – not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace.” II Timothy 1:6-8

The Fonte Gaia is a monumental fountain located in the Piazza del Campo in the center of Siena, Italy.
The first fountain in the Piazza del Campo was completed in 1342, after hydraulic construction had led water to the site. Underground pipes brought water to the site from 25 kilometers away.[1] Legend holds that the fountain was met with much joy, thus it was given the name Gaia or joyous. Others suggest the term Gaia refers to the Latin term for “bride”, and that the fountain was dedicated to the bride of God and patron of Siena, the Virgin Mary.[2] The fountains, plates, and statues conflate Roman matrons’ cardinal virtues, with a central depiction of Mary, curiously framed by stories of Genesis.
In 1419, the fountain had the present decorative frame constructed by Jacopo della Quercia. In 1858, the original marble panels were replaced by copies sculpted by Tito Sarrocchi, under the supervision of architect Giuseppe Partini. The side reliefs depict episodes from Genesis: The Creation of Adam and The Flight from the Garden of Eden. The wolves spouting water, representing the mother-wolf of Remus and Romulus, form part of the reconstructed fountain. Two nude female figures once adorned the front two columns, traditionally believed to represent Rea Silvia and Acca Larentia, in celebration of Siena’s supposed links to ancient Rome. These were not added in the reconstruction but can be viewed along with the original panels at a museum at Santa Maria della Scala, the old hospital overlooking the Piazza del Duomo. The long section of the fountain is adorned at the centre with a Madonna and Child, surrounded by allegories of the Virtues.[3]

I have heard the tale of Remus and Romulus before – it was actually one of the first pieces of literature I ever studied, around fourth grade – but I have never heard or considered the bit about Larentia being a common whore. I am reading the tale completely differently now, perhaps as an allegory for the culture’s treatment of “The Whore” archetype.
The wolf is attentive, nurturing – she hears the babies crying from up in the hills, and seeks them out. She treats the children with “such gentleness.” How positively unexpected, as so many narratives across every culture – from fairy tales to modern films – posit wolves as villains. There is a definite air of Livy trying to redefine a misunderstood character, and I believe the tale critiques this false dichotomy: women are either mothers or whores; nurturing and loving or sinful and corrupt. The whore has no capacity for love, care, gentleness, nurture.
This tale aims to reveal the humanity of the whore – to show that in the end, nothing separates her from Rhea Silvia, the twin’s mother, who wasted away in prison after breaking her forced vow of celibacy. It is as if Livy insists that the boys be nurtured and cared for by a whore – as if to say that Rhea Silva would have been perfectly equipped; that the only barrier between her and her children was the harsh patriarchal judgement of her sexuality; that if she couldn’t do it, another “whore” could.
How radical.
So, I can’t help but wonder if the animal nursing on the breast of the woman in the church at the Vatican during the Amazon Synod was not a wolf and representative of the She Wolf that nurtured Romulus and Remus. Especially considering that the area where it was located was dedicated to Romulus and Remus.
The mystical pantheon of Mami Wata deities are often pictured in their most ancient primordial aspects as a mermaid, half-human or either half-fish or half-reptile. Mermaids are not a recent phenomena in African history. For example, according to the Dogon’s creation myth, they attribute the creation of the world to mermaid/mermen like creatures whom they call Nommos. They claimed to have known about the existence of these mermaid-like divinities for more than 4000 years.
Also according to Dogon mythology, the ancient home of these (originally crude) reptilian (half-woman/half-men/fish) pantheon of water spirits is believed to be the obscure and celebrated star system in the belt of Orion known as Sirius (or Sopdet, Sothis), more popularly known as the “Dog Star” of Isis.
When asked where their ancestors obtained these stories of mermaids and mermen, they quickly point to ancient Egypt (Griaule, 1997, Winters 1985, p. 50-64, Temple 1999, p.303-304). Mermaid/mermen “nymphs” worshiped as goddesses and gods born from the sea are numerous in ancient African cultures history and spiritual mythology. Most were honored and respected as being “bringers of divine law” and for establishing the theological, moral, social, political, economic and, cultural foundation, to regulating the overflow of the Nile, and regulating the ecology i.e., establishing days for success at sailing and fishing, hunting, planting etc., to punishment by devastating floods when laws and taboos were violated.
However, just as not all serpents were revered, not all mermaids/mermen were considered “good.” In one story, the famed London, Naturalists Henry Lee (1883) recounts that “in the sea of Angola mermaids are frequently caught which resemble the human species. They are taken in nets, and killed . . . and are heard to shriek and cry like women (p. 22).”
The name “Mami Wata,” was believed by Western scholars to be a derivative either directly from pidgin English, or is an anglicize version of the two words “mommy/mammy” and “water.” However, though phonetically similar to the English words, the name “Mami Wata” does not have its linguistic roots nor any cultural, mythological or historical origins in the West. Mami Wata are ancient, African deities whose primordial origins and name can be traced linguistically through the languages of Africa. According to some renowned scholars, the name “Mami Wata” was originally formulated in ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia, and is derived from a composite of two African words, “Mami,” and “Wata.” Both words are rooted in the ancient Egyptian and Ethiopian (Coptic), Galla and Demotic languages. “Mami” is derived from “Ma” or ”Mama,” meaning “truth/wisdom,” and “Wata” is a corruption of not an English, but the ancient Egyptian word “Uati,” (or “Uat-ur” meaning ocean water), and the Khosian (“Hottentot”) “Ouata” meaning “water.” Further, we discover from Mesopotamian myths that the first great water goddess in the story of the Creation Flood was known as “Mami,” (Mami Aruru) as she was known in ancient Babylonian prayers as being the creator of human life (Dalley 2000, p. 51-16, Stone 1976, p. 7,219).
“Uati” is perhaps the first of more than ten thousand appellations of Isis (logos/wisdom) in her oldest generative form as the Divine African Mother, or Sibyl (Mamissii/Amengansie) prophetess. Furthermore, Massey (1994, p. 248) informs us that the word “Wata, Watoa, Wat-Waat” which means “woman,” are all exact spellings in the ancient Sudanic languages spoken by the Baba, Peba and Keh-Doulan groups. In ancient Egypt, Uati was Isis’ oldest appellation, and was the first Mami goddess worshiped by the Egyptians as “the Holy Widow”, “the Genitrix,” the “Self-Creator”, “the one who reigned alone in the beginning”, “the one who brings forth the gods,” “she who was mateless”, and “the Virgin (meaning ‘unmarried’) Mother.” Thus, we have Isis originally worshiped as “Mama Uati” in ancient Egypt, and as Mami (Uati/Aruru) in ancient Mesopotamia, where she is first addressed and immortalized in prose by the gods. (Massey 1992, p. 204, 227). Mami Uati, is an ancient and sacred name which remarkably, after thousands of years, has survived as “Mami Wata,” in West African Vodoun and other African religious systems, having changed little in its original phonetic form.
In Togo, West Africa, and in the United States, the priestesses of Mami Wata are called Mamisii (Mamissi, Mamaissii, Mammisi). Certain paths of high-priestesses who are called to open an Egbé (spirit house) are known as “Mamaissii-Hounons” which translates as “queen of the ship,” or literally “mother wisdom” (Alapini 1955, Massey 1994, p. 227, Rosenthal 1998, p. 116-117). This is an ancient name probably having its etymological roots in ancient Egypt, where we find the name Mammisi meaning “motherhood temple,” as the sacred shrine where the queen/ priestesses gives birth to spirit. (Walker 1983, p. 572-573).

Every first Saturday of the month when the Mayor calls for communal labour along the beaches of the sea we run into a sad news: of several human carcasses.
– Hawaiian mother-goddess who was prayed to by midwives attending at the birth of children. The kinkiest myth about her involves the way she would take a man as a mate, have children with him, then when those sons were old enough to procreate she would restore her own youth and have children with those sons. She would repeat the process with the sons she had through those children and so on and so on, generation after generation.
Sometimes she is associated with the primordial Earth goddess Papa, the wife of Rangi the sky god. Another famous myth about her involves her ownership of a grove of enchanted trees. One of them produced fish the way other trees produce fruit. She gave this tree to humans with the warning to never shake the tree to get fish to fall but instead wait for the fish to ripen and fall on their own.
Naturally this warning was ignored, the tree was shaken by impatient humans and all the fish fell from the tree, escaping into the sea from which humans now have to work to fish them up
In the religion and mythology of the ancient Hawaiians, Papahānaumoku (pronunciation: [pɑːpɑːˈhɑːnaʊmoʊku])[1] — often simply called Papa — is a goddess and the Earth Mother. She is mentioned in the chants as the consort of the sky god Wākea.[2] Their daughter is beautiful goddess Hoʻohokukalani,[3] the main character of one myth. Papa is still worshipped by some Hawaiians, especially by women, as a primordial force of creation who has the power to give life and to heal. The Northwestern Hawaiian Islands Marine National Monument was renamed in 2007 to the Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument,[4] in honour of Papa.
One of the most bizarre things about pagan religion is the teaching of reincarnation. Some gods in later religions would go from male to female depending on which incarnation. I believe that this is a result of one truth: as Babylon Religion evolves there’s a whole lot of conflicting stories that it’s really one serious mess! In one region of the world to another the cycle of paganism would depend on the movement of either the sun or the moon. Regardless, it was paganism. While Buddhism may claim to be non-theistic but action speaks louder than words. In fact, many of its branches are becoming inclusive. You could see Buddhists teaming up with various religions including Roman Catholicism.
Let’s take a look at the god (or goddess) known as Avalokitesvara. The name means “The one who looks down with compassion.” Earlier Sankrit says “the lord who looks from above” or “he who looks from above”. Yet overtime, this god became a goddess. It seems to be that most pagan religions can’t move forward unless one element is added namely Semiramis.
Avalokitesvara as a god was what would be called as “skinny, wimpy Tammuz”. The Buddhist god was once depicted as a man who was an extraordinarily nice guy who came to others. But I guess Tammuz’s popularity wasn’t so good for the early stages of Buddhism. Sure, having one counterfeit messiah like the male version of Avalokitesvara would have worked but there was one thing that was selling better than the child god. It was Semiramis. In the next generations, the focus of almost every form of Babylon Religion wouldn’t be Nimrod, it wouldn’t be Tammuz but it would be Semiramis.
It just took one gimmick concerning Avalokitesvara the embodiment of infinite compassion. Do these two mother and child figures look familiar? If they do, on the left side is the female form of Avalokitesvara as a patron goddess for mothers. Sometimes, she is depicted with many children around her like how the Roman Catholic Mary is seldom portrayed with children around her. But on the right is the symbol of mother goddess holding her son.
Earlier versions of Babylonian mythology even say that Semiramis didn’t want to lose her power so she did the unthinkable – she married her own son for power! It looks like that the transformation of Avalokitesvara from a god based on Tammuz to somebody based on Semiramis meant this. It means the triumph of Semiramis over Tammuz in getting the top spot as the embodiment of compassion. Seeing the female version of Avalokitesvara hold a child in her arms proved how “superior” she is over the male version of Avalokitesvara.What can also be seen since Buddhism is from India then the male and version version of Avalokitesvara may share attributes to various Hindu gods and goddesses. Avalokitesvara in his male form may share attributes to Vishnu or any of his avatars such as Rama or Krishna. Avalokitesvara in her female form may share attributes to Gayatri (the Hindu goddess of mercy), Lakshmi (the consort of Vishnu) or any Hindu goddesses for that matter. You may see male and female versions of the same god or goddess to have multiple arms like a Hindu god or goddess. Clearly, it took its roots from the Indian version of Babylon Religion!
Even in the goddess form, Avaloktisvara has been subject to so many changes. If the mythologies of the ancient world have so many interpretations then no pagan religion is left without those contradictions. One good example is how her story to how she went to transform from a mortal woman into a goddess (which is also called Boddhisatva or Buddhist saint) varies from country to country. It ends up in conflict as one source states she’s an Indian princess and another source states that she’s a Chinese princess. To “resolve” all the contradictions may have resulted to why Avalokitesvara’s forms as both Tammuz and Semiramis resulted to the doctrine of the 33 incarnations. I heard there’s even a Buddhist temple that worships all 33 incarnations when all of them come from nothing but conflicting stories about the same character.
Today, some people even compare Avalokitesvara as a goddess to the Virgin Mary of Roman Catholicism seeking for “internal dialogue”. What shouldn’t be surprising is that almost every Buddhist temple today would prefer Avalokitesvara as a goddess than as a god. In short, it’s another transformation for Semiramis and how the Queen of Heaven has become mainstream in Babylon Religion. After all, you could consider how the Queen of Heaven may vary from country to country or how some countries have more than one mother/child worship tandem such as the following outside of Babylon:
Some say that the Queen of Heaven or Queen of the Gods of the Greeks and Romans namely Hera/Juno gave birth to Hephaestus/Vulcan without the aid of any father. Later, Aphrodite/Venus and Eros/Cupid were also another mother/child team in both Greece and Rome.
The Chinese pantheon has both Wang Mu Niang Niang the supreme goddess (who is also referred to as the Holy Mother of China and was erroneously referred to as Shing Moo by the late Alexander Hislop, she is also called Xi Wang Mu by some) is also prayed to more than her eldest son who’s birthday hits on the 25th day of the 12th lunar month. Sounds familiar?
So it’s no surprise that Buddhism and many of its branches had to end up creating their own version to compete with other pagan religions. Just think how often pagan religion changes because of two facts. One is people get bored very easily and two there’s always competition between cults. What wasn’t too surprising was that later even Taoism ended up embracing Avalokitesvara as Guan Yin Ma or Mother Kuan Yin as another mother goddess.

A proper perspective of Mary.
Obviously Mary was a good Jewish woman,otherwise, Jehovah God would not have chosen her to bear his son. But many of the claims about her and the attitude that some show in reference to Mary, are simply unfounded.
There is no basis in the Bible, that we should pray to Mary. The Bible makes it clear that we should only pray to the Father, Jehovah God.
The fact that Mary bore other children after Christ was born – shows that she did have intercourse with her husband, and was not a virgin forever.Mary was the virgin mother of Jesus, the Son of God, but she did not remaina virgin forever. Mark 6:3 actually lists four of Jesus’ brothers and mentions sisters as well. Nor was the Biblical Mary sinless. Romans 3:23 makes it clear that “all have sinned”–which would alsoinclude Mary. Also, the Bible hasrecorded that Mary offered sacrificesat the temple to atone for her sins.
The fact that very little is said about Maryin the Bible – certainly downplays her importancein our worship and our spiritual life. In fact,the few times that Mary is mentioned, it appearsto be in somewhat of a negative light. How So?
Mary’s son – the Messiah – reprimanded her when she attempted to tell him what to do, at the wedding, where he turned the water into wine.
Also, Mary attempted to interrupted Christ, when he was giving a discourse to his followers.When he was told that his mother and brothers wanted to speak with him – he basically refusedand then compared the audience to being his real and true Mother and brothers and sisters.Yes, In front of the crowd, he said that those people in his audience – who were doingthe will of His Father in heaven, were more important to him, than his mother, his sisters, and his brothers. By saying this, it appears that Christ was implying that his mother, was not doing God’s will. Why was Mary not sitting in the audience listening to her son ? Could it be that she did not put any Faith in him ? Perhaps Mary was not one of his followers?
After Christ’s tortuous death, there is not one single mention of his mother in the Bible again.If she was of so much importance – as some sectsof Christendom claim – then why is there no mention of her again in the Bible ?
