Wow, there has been a flood of information and disinformation flying around the internet regarding the MAUI – Lahaina Fires. Let me tell you folks, unless you have been really tenacious about seeking out the truth for the last decade you are very likely to be ill-equipped to sort through it all. A lot of what you need to know is very technical. A lot of it is highly spiritual. One really needs discernment to test the spirits and know which side they are on.
The corporately owned and politicized “DEBUNKERS” are waging a war against truth. They are fighting hard to maintain damage control.
If you have been reading my posts for a while you know that I look first to the spiritual side of things. The Holy Spirit was promised to us to lead us to ALL TRUTH. So, I figure if I start in the Spirit I will not miss the truth.
One thing to think about, if they can do it there…they can do it here. Please wake up and come to terms with the fact that they are perpetrating these event on innocent people like you and me. Now is the time to join us in bringing others to the truth. Share what you know and encourage others to investigate for themselves.
I truly hope that the information you find in this post will help you to understand what is going on. If you are informed and aware it is harder for you to be deceived. Understand though, that those of us out hear doing the work and sharing the truth cannot make up for your own participation in the search. YOU must find it for yourself. We can only point you in the right direction and maybe fill in some of the gaps. Each person must walk out their own salvation, seeking the LORD for guidance and submitting to HIS WILL.

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A determined group is working hard to make sure monetary donations go directly to those who need it most on Maui.
Shannon Ii was one of the many people who lost their home in the Lahaina wildfires last Tuesday.
She says there has been a small glimmer of hope recently. She’s received thousands of dollars in financial support from an unexpected place, Venmo.
The cash app that lets people send money directly to each other on their phone.
“It gives me hope that maybe I will survive another day,” said Ii.
It’s all because of a group of Maui residents who formed an Instagram handle called Lahaina Ohana Venmo. People affected are posted with their Venmo accounts that people can scan and donate directly to them.
“We don’t know where all the funds are going to go with the big donation sites. I’m sure it will go to the families somewhere but it will take time,” said Tiare Lawrence, one of the organizers.
Organizers with Lahaina Ohana Venmo say they understand there are scammers out there.
That’s why they’re vetting each person.
Since starting last week, there are now over 200 posts with thousands of dollars donated to families affected.

PAHULU: HAWAIIAN SORCERY GODS
In ancient Hawaiian times, the practice of sorcery was one of the strongest forces that shaped the lives and characters of the Hawaiian people – it also determined the careers of their leaders. Legend has it that Kamehameha himself was extremely sensitive to the sorcery gods. There is an ancient Hawaiian legend that talks about the Goddess Pahulu. Her brand of sorcery is known to have been practiced through dreams.
Pahulu ruled Lanai, Molokai, and part of Maui before Pele in the days when Kane and Kanaloa came to Hawaii. The island of Molokai is said to be the center of the ‘strongest’ sorcery in the whole group. Not much is known about the goddess Pahulu, but legend has it that all of Molokai’s sorcerers are believed to be descended from the Pahulu – it is said that they have more spiritual power or mana than sorcerers from any other island.
There is much to be learned about Pahulu through stories from Native Hawaiians, but for now, leave it up to Pahulu to meet you in your dreams and tell you about her sorcery!

Kanaloa/Kane
In the traditions of ancient Hawaiʻi, Kanaloa is a god symbolized by the squid or by the octopus, and is typically associated with Kāne.[1] It is also an alternative name for the island of Kahoʻolawe.
In legends and chants, Kāne and Kanaloa are portrayed as complementary powers.[2] For example, whereas Kāne was called during the canoe building, Kanaloa was called while the canoe was being sailed. Likewise, Kāne governed the northern edge of the ecliptic while Kanaloa governed its southern edge, Kanaloa is “the subconscious to Kāne’s conscious”.[3] In this way, they represent a divine duality of wild and taming forces similar to (by Georges Dumézil, et al.) in Indo-European chief god-pairs like Odin–Týr and Mitra–Varuna, or the more widely known yin and yang of Taoism. Kanaloa is also traditionally depicted as an ocean god, hence his association with seamanship, or cephalopods.[4] However, there are also interpretations that see Kanaloa as subordinate to Kāne.[3]
Kanaloa is also considered to be the god of the Underworld and a teacher of magic. Legends state that he became the leader of the first group of spirits “spit out” by the gods. In time, he led them in a rebellion in which the spirits were defeated by the gods and as punishment were thrown in the Underworld. In traditional, pre-contact Hawaiʻi, it was Milu who was the god of the Underworld and death, not Kanaloa; the related Miru traditions of other Polynesian cultures support this.[citation needed]
The Eye of Kanaloa is an esoteric symbol associated with the god in New Age Huna teaching, consisting of a seven-pointed star surrounded by concentric circles that are regularly divided by eight lines radiating from the inner-most circle to the outer-most circle. Huna, as a New Age religion developed in the 20th century by a Caucasian-American founder, bears no relation to the Native Hawaiian Religion. Native Hawaiians reject “Huna” as a mishmash of Hawaiian elements with European religious metaphysical ideas.

The figures on the can of Maui Burst are actual gods worshipped by the Hawaiians. They are IDOLS, and they are the same figures you will find on TIKI beverage wear, statue and masks that people bring home as souvenirs. This another way that foolish people, out of ignorance bring curses and demonic influences into their home. Another reason for their troubles and suffering, diseases and misfortune they like to blame on God.

Mountain Dew Maui Burst conspiracy erupts online in wake of the Maui Fire
The person who first posted the connection between the Maui Fires and Mountain DEW Maui Burst is very astute and I thank them for sharing. If you are spiritual discerning you understand about mind control, subliminal messaging and predictive programming as well as sympathetic Magick.
If you are not familiar with all or any of those, you are ill equipped to truly understand what is going on around you.
It is no wonder that people are connecting the dots with MAUI BURST. The advertising and promotion of that product strikes all the signs and identifiers of all the afore mentioned tactics. I have decided to delve deeper into the subject of Maui Burst and give you an opportunity to see for yourself what the fuss is about.
On the cans, boxes and advertising products for MAUI BURST there are multiple TIKI gods. Most likely representing the four gods mentioned above: Ku, Kane, Lono, Kanaloa.
These gods are very significant for reasons I have shared in their descriptions above. Understand that pagan gods and goddesses are very important to the elite. They are known by different names in different nations, but they are really manifestations of all the same fallen angels. So it does not matter what name they go by what matters is what they represent. The elite believe in them and they look to them for power and favor.

As you will see, there has been a lot of effort to keep Maui Burst in the minds of the public. The manner in which it was presented, the designs of the packaging and the repeated re-releasing of the product is not coincidental. It is very effective.
See for yourself:
On August 21st, 2019, on the Dew Drinker Discord, Maui Burst was first leaked by a trustworthy PepsiCo employee by posting an image of a prototype 24-ounce design before being reverted to the 16-ounce can with a limited-time release of an October 16th release date.
It is worth noting that the Maui Burst flavor of Mountain Dew was launched in 6 Octobers 2019 only in the United States and offered for a limited time only. Maui Burst was officially released in Dollar General stores in the United States on October 16th, 2019, for a limited time, only in 16-ounce cans. It remained in Dollar General stores until November 2019

Unsafe water advisory for Upper Kula and Lahaina areas …
-
Aug 15, 2023 — DLNR delayed releasing water requested by West Maui Land Co. to help prevent the spread of fire, sources familiar with the situation said.
“What they don’t talk about is in January how they had in Maui a smart city conference (Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences) to turn Maui into an entire smart island, changing everything to electric, renewables, solar panels and pushing everybody into electric vehicles — 15-minute smart cities,” a man says in one widely shared video.
“So, now what’s also interesting is next month in September, Hawaii is hosting the digital government summit (Hawaii Digital Government Summit), utilizing AI to govern Maui SMART island,” the man continues. “It’s almost like they’re resetting something to start rebuilding for this.” The Digital Government Summit will be held on another Hawaiian Island. The State of Hawaii’s goal is to obtain 40% of its electric power generation from renewable energy sources by 2030
Hitachi recently announced that it has begun operations on the demonstration site for the “Japan-U.S. Island Grid Project” (commonly referred to as the “JUMPSmartMaui”) on the island of Maui, Hawaii, in collaboration with the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), Mizuho Bank, Ltd. and Cyber Defense Institute, Inc. An opening ceremony was held on Maui to coincide with the launch of site operations.
Video: The New Smart Grid in Hawaii
Due to increasing demands for renewable energy, Hawaii is in need of an advanced Island Smart Grid. According to the Maui Electric Company, renewable energy currently accounts for 21% of the total energy supply on Maui.
The goal of JUMPSmartMaui is to demonstrate smart grid technologies that will enable the efficient use of renewable energy and will contribute to the implementation of a low-carbon social infrastructure system in island regions.
Hitachi has already recruited numerous electric vehicle users and residents on Maui to volunteer in the demonstration.
As the company leading the Project, Hitachi oversees all aspects of Project activities, and has been working on the construction of the demonstration site with local stakeholders including the State of Hawaii, the County of Maui, Hawaiian Electric Industries, Inc., the University of Hawaii, and the American national research laboratories.

Hitachi Commences Demonstration Site
for Japan-U.S. Island Grid Project in Hawaii
Goal Focused On Establishment of Systems for the Efficient Use of
Renewable Energy
Hawaii, December 17, 2013 – Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE: 6501, “Hitachi”) today announced that it has begun operations on the demonstration site for the Japan-U.S. Island Grid Project on the Maui Island, Hawaii, in collaboration with the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (“NEDO”), Mizuho Bank, Ltd. (“Mizuho Bank”) and Cyber Defense Institute, Inc. (“Cyber Defense Institute”)
The goal of this project, which is based on an agreement between the American and Japanese governments, will be to demonstrate smart grid technologies that will enable the efficient use of renewable energy and will contribute to the implementation of a low-carbon social infrastructure system in island regions. The demonstration site has been designed to respond to the rapidly changing demands in the renewable energy market, which will be made possible through the use of electric vehicles (EV) and other innovative technologies.
The demonstration site is scheduled to be in operation from December 17, 2013, through the end of March 2015. Based on the results of analysis and evaluations, the goal of this site is to build a business model for future “Island Smart Grids” that will be built in other sub-tropical regions with environmental conditions similar to Maui.
According to Maui Electric Company, in 2012, renewable energy accounted for 21% of the total energy supply on the Hawaiian island of Maui, and current plans call for at least 40% of increased demand for electrical power throughout the entire state of Hawaii to be met with the use of renewable energy by 2030. In the backdrop of the growing adoption of renewable energy, in 2011, NEDO initiated the “Japan-U.S. Island Grid Project” (commonly referred to as the “JUMPSmartMaui” Project) to resolve the issues related to the use of these new energy sources. As the company with primary responsibility for this Project, Hitachi oversees all aspects of Project activities, and has been working on the construction of the demonstration site in collaboration with the Mizuho Bank and the Cyber Defense Institute, along with the state of Hawaii, the County of Maui, Hawaiian Electric Industries, Inc., the University of Hawaii, and the American national research laboratories.
In order to create a smart grid for island regions using EV, Hitachi has established an EV Energy Control Center (EVECC), and has already put in place a Distribution Management System (DMS) to control power distribution systems in the Kihei district on the south side of Maui, and the Energy Management System-Plus (EMS-Plus). The goal is to control the balance of supply and demand in electric power systems and support the efficient operations of renewable energy. These systems also incorporate the Direct Load Control (DLC) technology for the direct control of devices in users’ homes, which was introduced in order to minimize the effects of fluctuations in the supply of renewable energy.
Up until now, Hitachi has involved the public to be part of the demonstration on a volunteer basis and participate in the demonstrations primarily focused on the EV users on the island of Maui. Also, regular residents/consumers interested in participating in control demonstrations for electric water heaters installed in private residences in the Kihei area will also be involved in the demonstration.
Hitachi has also promoted the installation of rapid EV charging stations, as well as complying with American cyber security standards, in order to ensure the safety of systems operating throughout the demonstration site and throughout the duration of the demonstration project.
To date, Hitachi had already confirmed approximately 150 volunteers as user of EV, and “confirmed” approximately 40 residential households interested in participating in control demonstration using electric water heaters. In order to promote further demonstration, the company plans to “secure” 200 volunteers as EV users and 40 volunteer user households in total. Already, 20 EV charging stands have been installed at five existing rapid EV charging stations, and there are plans to establish a total of 20 charging stations in the future.
So, as of December 17, 2013 Hitachi has had households already participating in this project. If even only 40 households have the smart meters it has been clearly demonstrated that those smart meters can explode and ignite major fires. Spread around the neighborhood this could have been a contributing factor.
Today, an opening ceremony was held on the Maui Island to coincide with the launch of the site operations. Attendees at the ceremony included Mr. Hiroshi Kuniyoshi, Executive Director at NEDO; Mr. Koji Tanaka, Executive Vice President and Executive Officer at Hitachi; Mr. Kosuke Nakamura, Managing Executive Officer at Mizuho Bank; and Mr. Makoto Kubota, President of Cyber Defense Institute. Also, Mr. Alan M. Arakawa, Mayor of Maui County, and Ms. Sharon Suzuki, President of Maui Electric Company attended the ceremony.
On-site demonstrations will use wind power generation systems and power systems installed on the island of Maui, which generate a total of 72,000 kW of power. These power systems leverage information technologies to demonstrate controls for the power distribution systems and the load on the consumer side, as well as systems for controlling EV operations and charging, including various types of rapid charging devices. Operations at the demonstration site are scheduled to continue until March 2015, and following this period, subsequent studies and discussions will be conducted for implementing new business models based on the results of these demonstrations and evaluations.
Details of the Japan U.S. Island Grid Project on Maui Island
In November 2009, an agreement was reached during the Japan-U.S. Summit dedicated to the “Japan/U.S. Clean Energy Technology Collaboration,” and in June 2010, a “Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) highlighting the Hawaii-Okinawa Partnership on Clean and Efficient Energy Development and Deployment” was completed by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the U.S. Department of Energy, Okinawa Prefecture, and the State of Hawaii.
Upon completion of these agreements, NEDO completed a basic agreement with the State of Hawaii in November 2011, and completed a similar agreement with Maui County in June 2013.
Toward the realization of Island Grids that utilize EV for the more efficient use of renewable energy, Hitachi will strive to achieve integrated energy management in this island region, by linking the Distribution Management System in Kihei with the EVECC. Furthermore, EVECC allow volunteers with their PCs and smart phones to monitor the status of EV charging and automatically adjust the timing of charging startup. With this in mind, the Project will also serve to verify mechanisms for efficiently absorbing excess electric power from renewable energy sources into EV.
The Distribution Management System installed in Kihei will use the Direct Load Control (DLC) technology to stabilize power distribution systems and minimize the effects of fluctuations in power output resulting from increased ratios of renewable energy by controlling frequency support*1, rechargeable batteries, µ (micro) DMS*2 and consumer devices.
This configuration will also enable autonomous control in the low-voltage systems for distributing power to homes, commercial facilities, and other buildings through µDMS. Additionally, it will make it possible to control photovoltaic output and voltage as well as emergency load, in order to prevent transformer overload. Through this Project, Hitachi will verify the effects on the stabilization of power distribution systems achieved by linking DMS and µDMS and by implementing controls on various levels. At the same time, the Project verifies the optimal energy management strategy for the system as a whole, including Direct Load Control and reduction of frequency fluctuations.
- *1
- Frequency Support Control: Rapid fluctuations in output from wind power generation and other forms of renewable energy are expressed in the form of changes to the frequency of electric power systems. When frequencies appear likely to deviate from specified values, the Distribution Management System reduces frequency fluctuations by isolating non-urgent load and adjusting battery charge and discharge volumes.
- *2
- µDMS: As a low-level DMS installed in low voltage transformers to control entire power distribution systems, µDMS controls household devices using bidirectional communication between the DMS and the low voltage power distribution systems.

What Really Happened on Maui – I Was There
I live in Maui and am okay, but I was there in Lahaina that morning and the whole truth is yet to come out (please read my personal story below).
I want to thank all of you who have reached out to me from across the world after seeing pictures and videos of the devastating destruction that took place on Tuesday, August 8th which destroyed the Old Historic town of Lahaina. It also rampaged through agricultural lands in Kula in the Upcountry region of this beautiful valley island in the middle of the Pacific.
The death toll will easily reach more than 100 once they locate all the bodies. Thousands are homeless and so I ask that you give whatever you can to Hungry Homeless Heroes, a group that is now making and distributing over 400 meals a day to feed those who have nothing left.
Please give, even if it’s only $1.00 Here is the link to their Go Fund Me site: https://www.gofundme.com/f/HHH-FIRE-RESPONSE…
My story of what happened:
The Strange Maui Fires
A friend called me early on the morning of Tuesday, August 8th and told me he had a strong urge to visit Lahaina that day. Tempting me with lunch at Cool Cats, one of my favorite eateries in Old Lahaina, I said “Okay. Let’s go!”
The 30 minute drive was without incident, without winds, and without any warning advisories. As soon as we reached Lahaina, all power got zapped. Cell phone, internet, traffic lights, GPS, the 911 emergency system (which is never supposed to go down) and the power outage caused every store and shopping mall to immediately close. Nothing was open.
Then the winds came in, bringing with it a rare rainless hurricane with gusts from 60-80mph. Trees became uprooted and branches were coming down everywhere, along with power poles. I heard a crash behind me and where I was less than 30 seconds prior was a crashed and uprooted tree. It was time to get out of there.
No evacuation sirens ever went off that day when the fires began. They failed as well. My friend and I had to escape through the back road going all the way around the island as all traffic was blocked in the other direction. Many might not have known about this back route since GPS was down.
These fires were indeed strange. The night before both my friend and many others claimed to have had very restless sleep. I personally experienced a strange flooding wave of energy in my head, almost like seizure activity, which I have come to identity as dark energy coming in. This flooding energy continued on and off the next morning, more so when I was in Lahaina. This told me there was directed energy involved in what was occurring.
This was not just a random act of mother nature. It reminded me of the strange fires in Paradise, California a few years back which swept through and wiped it off the map. Their only crime was getting in the way of a high speed railway project slated to come through the town.
A little bit of history to draw your own conclusions: Historic Lahaina is the key harbor seaport on the island. The Lanai Ferry goes back and forth from there, all the commercial snorkeling and scuba diving firms set sail from there and tourists flock there in daily droves.
The problem with Historic Lahaina was that it had a large old Hawaiian community that was in the way of the developers. Now it’s like ground zero, declared a disaster area, and federal and states rules are probably going to be tossed aside. It’s a toxic mess. They will undoubtedly blame it all on climate change and welcome in the developers to totally bull doze and level it.
All over the island tracts of land are being bought up by corporations and no one knows who is behind them. Foreign interests? The people on this island are beginning to put the pieces of the puzzle together and suspect this was a major power land grab.
In January 2023 there was a Smart City Conference where they discussed turning Maui into a 15-minute “smart island”. Next month there is a Digital Summit to discuss turning the island digital and all AI. I kid you not.
Fires started in the agricultural lands upcountry first, the bread basket of Maui, and resources were sent there first, so Lahaina, when it happened, had few resources to fight the wall of fire that swept through the entire area trapping hundreds who could not get out and sadly perished. No sirens warned them to get out either.
Right now Maui needs your spiritual prayers more than ever to strengthen the land against these destructive forces. So many people are missing or homeless. We are not out of the woods yet. There are still ongoing fires.

Preface to the Board of Land and Natural Resources’ Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law, and Decision and Order regarding Conservation District Use Permit (CDUP) HA-3568 for the Thirty Meter Telescope at the Mauna Kea Science Reserve, Ka’ohe Mauka, Hamakua, Hawai’i (September 27, 2017):
The Board adopts the hearing officer’s recommended findings of fact, conclusions of law, and decision and order, with modifications, including additional conditions. The Board commends the hearing officer’s thorough, comprehensive and well-considered report, prepared after 44 days of hearings. The Board’s modifications are consistent with the hearing officer’s factual findings and legal conclusions. Along with minor corrections, the changes mostly give further explanations for some aspects of the decision.
Because of the length of this document, the Board thought it would be useful to the parties and public to give a brief summary. This Preface cannot describe fully how the Board considered various factors. It is not intended to replace or supplement the findings of fact, conclusions of law, and decision and order, and they prevail in case of any perceived conflict between them and this Preface.
The TMT is a very large structure, 180 feet tall, proposed near the top of a culturally important and magnificently beautiful mountain. This project is not, however, on an untouched landscape. Mauna Kea now hosts twelve observatories, including six that are between 100 and 151 feet tall. The first large telescope on Mauna Kea was completed forty-seven years ago.
The TMT will not pollute groundwater, will not damage any historic sites, will not harm rare plants or animals, will not release toxic materials, and will not otherwise harm the environment. It will not significantly change the appearance of the summit of Mauna Kea from populated areas on Hawai‘i Island.
The TMT site and its vicinity were not used for traditional and customary native Hawaiian practices conducted elsewhere on Mauna Kea, such as depositing piko, quarrying rock for adzes, pilgrimages, collecting water from Lake Waiau, or burials. The site is not on the summit ridge, which is more visible, and, according to most evidence presented, more culturally important than the plateau 500 feet lower where TMT will be built.
Some groups perform ceremonies near the summit. The evidence shows that these ceremonies began after the summit access road and first telescopes were built, but, in any case, the TMT will not interfere with them.
Individuals testified that seeing the TMT will disturb them when they are doing ceremonies or other spiritual practices. The TMT cannot be seen from the actual summit or from many other places on the summit ridge. Where it would be visible, other large telescopes are already in view. It will not block views from the summit ridge of the rising sun, setting sun, or Haleakalā. Some native Hawaiians expressed that Mauna Kea is so sacred that the very idea of a large structure is offensive. But there are already twelve observatories on Mauna Kea, some of them almost as large as the TMT. They will remain even if the TMT is not built. No credible evidence was presented that the TMT would somehow be worse from a spiritual or cultural point of view than the other large observatories. Each observatory received a permit after a process allowing public participation and judicial review, over a period spanning three decades.
To the extent that the belief that Mauna Kea is too sacred to allow large structures is a religious one, under the federal and state constitutions a group’s religious beliefs cannot be given veto power over the use of public land.
Other witnesses, including some native Hawaiians, embrace a different way of thinking and feeling about the TMT: as a project that honors Mauna Kea rather than injures it. After a worldwide search, scientists found that Mauna Kea is the best site on earth for the most advanced telescope ever built. Mauna Kea will forever be known throughout the world as the site of profound discoveries about the universe. These witnesses see TMT and the other telescopes, not as objects spoiling the landscape, but as portals to discovery placed in this site made ideal for them.
To these witnesses, respect for Mauna Kea can be reconciled with modern astronomy. When ancient Hawaiians found a resource valuable to them – the densest rock in Hawai‘i – near the summit of Mauna Kea, they made use of it, quarrying hundreds of acres. Ancient Hawaiians intensely studied the stars in ways consistent with their technology. Traditional Hawaiian navigation depended upon knowledge of the stars.
King David Kalākaua enthusiastically supported astronomy in Hawai‘i. He wrote: “It will afford me unfeigned satisfaction if my kingdom can add its quota toward the successful accomplishment of the most important astronomical observation of the present century…” TMT will contribute $1 million a year toward education, and has signed a sublease agreement committing $300,000/yr. at first, increasing to $1 million/yr., for conservation on Mauna Kea. No existing observatory makes any such contributions.
Astronomy directly supports about 1,000 jobs in Hawai’i. TMT will employ about 140 people. The decision contains 43 special conditions to ensure that the project lives up to its environmental commitments, that the educational fund will help the underserved members of the community, that TMT will train and hire local workers, and that the native Hawaiian cultural presence at Hale Pōhaku will be enhanced.
Astronomers discovered that the earth goes around the sun; that we live in one of more than 100 billion galaxies; that our universe expanded from a single point 13.7 billion years ago. (All LIES) These discoveries shape how we see our place in the universe. Other telescopes on Mauna Kea have already contributed to human knowledge. TMT, if built, will do the same.
One native Hawaiian story about the origin of Mauna Kea is that Wakea, “Sky Father”, and Papa, “Earth Mother”, created a child, Hawai’i Island. Mauna Kea is the highest summit of the island, this union of heaven and earth. Today, Mauna Kea is the best place on earth to study the heavens. They said the same thing about La Palma

Permanent Recollections: Trevor Bell’s Rising Heat and Light Pillar
Written by Abby Perpich
Trevor Bell(1930–2017) was an abstract artist known for his bold colors and unique canvas shapes ranging from trapezoids and triangles to asymmetric circles and ovals. Born in Leeds, Bell moved to Cornwall in 1955 to join the many abstract artists who made their homes in St. Ives. Two years later in 1958, Waddington Galleries hosted Bell’s first solo exhibition. Bell was awarded the Paris Biennale International Painting Prize in 1958. In the 1960s, Bell took part in many major exhibitions in the UK and the US. By 1976, he was teaching painting in many locations before moving to Florida State University and becoming its Professor for Master Painting.

Bell’s twin paintings titled Rising Heat andLight Pillar are exemplary works that showcase his talent and style. Both paintings, created in 1982, have the same dimensions (186 in x 86 in), the same trapezoidal shape, and the same medium (acrylic on canvas). As for the compositions of each painting, Rising Heat is mostly bright yellow-orange with a large strip of pink flanked by gray-white in the center. The center strip is broad and imperfect, but the meandering edges give the appearance of the organic movement, like a flickering flame. Light Pillar, by contrast, is predominately blue with similar strips of color in the center, although these strips are thinner and gradient with individual strips changing from yellow to red, yellow to green to blue, and pink to purple to blue. The yellow-red strip in the center is the forefront of the piece, contrasting the darker, cooler colors that surround it. Like Rising Heat, the lines of the strips are uneven, causing the strips to seem like pillars of light shining down the canvas.

Bell’s art, including Rising Heat and Light Pillar, was heavily influenced by the rockets shot from Cape Canaveral. His first experience was with the nighttime launch of Apollo 17 on December 7th, 1972.Bell began to draw inspiration from this event, creating larger-than-life paintings of bold and radiating color with representations of both the pillars of fire from the rocket and the blueness of the dark night sky. This influence can primarily be seen in Light Pillar, where the yellow strip of light juxtaposes the calm blue background, much like the sight Bell saw that night of the bright rocket’s fumes against a starry sky. Rising Heat, while also taking inspiration from Cape Canaveral, is moreso inspired by what Bell called “the heatscape” of Florida, an idea is seen in a number of his paintings by brash and searing reds, oranges, and yellows. Rising Heat perfectly encapsulates this Floridian “heatscape” with its bright, eye-catching colors that mimic the heat of the Florida sun on a burning summer day.
Trevor Bell’s work not only shares his experiences but celebrates humanity’s joyful and awesome admiration for the mundane world we inhabit. His art draws upon his wonder and turns it into something tangible that all can experience. Trevor Bell’s artistic approach is best explained in his own words: “I feel that what we should get from art is a sense of wonder, of something beyond ourselves, that celebrates our being here. It condenses the experience we all have as human beings, and, by forming it, makes it significant. We all have an in-built need for harmony and the structures that create that harmony. Basically, art is an affirmation of life.”
