Army Cadets on Campus Forced to Wear Red High Heels and Raise Awareness of Debunked ‘Rape Culture’
Army ROTC cadets are complaining on message boards that they were pressured to walk in high heels on Monday for an Arizona State University campus event designed to raise awareness of sexual violence against women.
The Army openly encouraged participating in April’s “Walk A Mile in Her Shoes” events in 2014, but now it appears as though ROTC candidates at ASU were faced with a volunteer event that became mandatory.
“Attendance is mandatory and if we miss it we get a negative counseling and a ‘does not support the battalion sharp/EO mission’ on our CDT OER for getting the branch we want. So I just spent $16 on a pair of high heels that I have to spray paint red later on only to throw them in the trash after about 300 of us embarrass the U.S. Army tomorrow,” one anonymous cadet wrote on the social media sharing website Imgr, IJReview reported Monday.
The only silver lining to this story is that comments on social media — Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, and Tumblr — have been overwhelmingly negative. In fact, I have yet to see a comment in support of this embarrassing nonsense.
“This makes me want to throw up!” said one Twitter user. “No doubt…. Too many mentally ill people have gotten into positions of power who then put their mentally ill friends into power,” said a another savvy tweeter.
In a Reddit discussion thread on the subject — titled, “Okay, who put the cadets up to this?” — a user confirmed that the claims were legitimate and added, “I just don’t understand why [General] Combs would court political controversy like this. Isn’t the military supposed to avoid faddish political movement and religious issues.”
During the Obama years, the military has become a hostile environment for Christian chaplains, and Christians in general. By the spring of 2013 — after Obama had been safely reelected — the hostility became palpable. That April, it was widely reported that an Army instructor in Pennsylvania had labeled evangelical Christians, Catholics, Orthodox Jews and Mormons “religious extremists” alongside Hamas and al Qaeda during an Army Reserve Equal Opportunity training brief on extremism. Later that month, an Army officer at Ft. Campbell, KY, sent an email to subordinates using similar descriptions to describe two mainstream Christian ministries that were put in the same category as Neo-Nazis, racist skinheads, white nationalists and the Ku Klux Klan. Shortly after that, the United States Army blocked the website of the Southern Baptist Convention from government computers.
Now we see the fundamental transformation of our military taking giant (and high-heeled) strides at ROTC detachments at college campuses.
Said my 14-year-old daughter as she happened by my computer while the photo of the cadets wearing heels was displayed: “Welp — there goes the military.”

Army to review decision to have male cadets wear high heels
The Feminization of the US Military is Nearly Complete
By Ray Starmann
The US Military has crossed the Rubicon and is spiraling into a whirlpool of doom and disaster on the land, on the seas and in the air.
Mission accomplished Cultural Marxists and Feminists. With the help of our Socialist Commander in Chief you’ve succeeded in achieving your goals of destroying our beloved and glorious military beyond your wildest dreams.
What started with ideas spouted by crazies like Gloria Steinem in the 70’s, Patricia Schroeder in the 80’s and Claudia Kennedy in the 90’s, the feminist destruction derby of the last great male, macho culture in American society is on virtual steroids in 2016.
Our enemies know we are weak and getting weaker. There is not a day that goes by where the United States is not being threatened by China, Iran, Russia, ISIS or North Korea.
Our enemies know that our military is suffering from readiness issues, low morale and desperately lacking that indefinable, but essential quality known as fighting spirit.
US Defense Watch has reported on a myriad of events and policies that are sapping the lifeblood out of the military’s warrior culture; such things as breastfeeding and lactation directives for field exercises, men wearing pregnancy simulators during PT (physical training), male ROTC cadets forced to wear red high heels, sensitivity training in combat zones, transgenders in the ranks, Mommy Rangers, an openly gay Secretary of the Army, white privilege training and classes that teach the Bible and the Declaration of Independence are sexist documents.
Only last week, Fox News reported that Air Force personnel at Travis Air Base played the child’s game, Hungry Hippos in order to foster better teamwork. Apparently, baseball and dodge ball are out. Someone might get hurt after all. Heaven forbid! Dodge ball fosters aggressiveness.
Imagine the 8th Air Force pilots in England during WWII playing Hungry Hippos while waiting for another bombing run over Germany. Draw a mental picture of Gregory Peck in Twelve O’Clock High rolling around on his stomach with a basket of colored balls.
What’ next for our young boys and girls in the military, playing Chutes and Ladders, or Duck, Duck Goose?
The US Military has been a ripe target for feminist and liberal destruction. It is, pardon me; was; the last bastion of the male macho culture, the culture that has won our nation’s wars for 240 years. With its male rite of passage toughness, code of duty, honor and country and ranks of booze hounds and skirt chasers, it was hated by radical feminists for decades.
Feminists have managed to completely turn American society on its rear end, creating the chaotic society that the nation is drowning in today. The workplace, the arts, the churches and the schools have been feminized to the point of no return. The average male character on network TV is a weak twerp who hardly can spell his name. A Vic Morrow, Sergeant Saunders character from the old show Combat would last about one week on network TV in 2016.
As a former middle and high school teacher, I’ve witnessed the feminist destruction of the nation’s schools. In fact, the K-12 education world has been taken over by feminists and women, with the result that most men don’t want anything to do with it anymore, including yours truly.
While these policies and social changes are harmful to American society, they are the death knell for the US military.
The military is not corporate America, although, the leaders of the military have a corporate mindset and are running the military like it’s a Fortune 500 company, not the armed forces of the US. They treat the military like it’s any other job in the civilian world.
It’s not just another job. The military does not exist to provide breast pumps, field lactation stations, day care centers, playpens, baby strollers, or Swedish style, cradle to grave benefits.
The military exists to win wars; nothing more, nothing less. The US military’s warrior culture is as fragile as a Faberge Egg and its being shattered into a million pieces.
The US military is dying by a death of a thousand feminized cuts. From lactating female soldiers in the field to women pushing around baby strollers, while donning 101st Airborne/Air Assault combat patches, to an openly gay Secretary of the Army; it all creates an atmosphere of a corporation, rather than a military organization.
America has let this happen. Americans voted for Obama and his pack of Marxists, twice. Americans have a limited knowledge of the military, as most don’t serve. Americans have become a nation of egg shell walking, PC, Capri wearing men in Whole Foods Ho Chi Minh sandals.
We have reaped what we have sown.
Women have always played a vital role in America’s armed forces, no doubt about it. But, they were part of a male culture that worshipped the tough guy, the warrior.
Why would any guy want to join the Navy SEALs or the Green Berets or the US Marines when they know the standards are going to be lowered to accommodate women?
Why would any guy want to be part of a combat arms or special ops unit that will be deliberately made weaker and subsequently endanger the lives of everyone in the unit?
Why would any guy want to be part of a combat arms or special ops unit that will have as much martial spirit as the HR department at Snapple?
Feminists and lefties are forcing the military to become a combination of a Malibu Day Care Center, the Richard Simmons Show and The Birdcage.
The handwriting’s on the wall…
The military will eventually lose men like the education world. Eventually, men don’t want to be around a feminized environment.
Feminists will scream dinosaur! Equal opportunity! But, there is no equal opportunity on a battlefield.
Under the guise of equal opportunity, the warrior culture is becoming extinct. Under the guise of equal opportunity, the feminization of the US military is beginning to endanger us all.
What is the future of the US military unless something is done to reverse all of this; a mass grave at Arlington National Cemetery with the Chinese, Russian or ISIS flag flying over it. That is the future.

The Feminization is not just in the military. ALL males in the US are being feminized, multiple ways. Through the food and water, through the media, through our education system and through sexual perversion that rampant in our world. Learn more here: What is Happening to White Males in America? US Army general says new recruits are not strong enough to throw grenades
Sgt. 1st Class Shelby Misher, 1st Battalion, 34th Infantry Regiment, teaches individual movement techniques on a makeshift hand grenade assault course made from old pallets from the dining facility outside their barracks on Fort Jackson, Oct. 8, 2015. This summer, qualifying with a grenade with no longer be required to graduate basic training. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. 1st Class Brian Hamilton)
The needs of the Army and the quality of the recruits it is acquiring have changed, so the Army is adapting. One of the many changes coming to Army Basic Training (BCT) is the removal of grenade qualification from basic training, which could happen as early as this summer.
The Army says this training takes too long and the time could be used for more needed training.
Commanders have complained about receiving undisciplined and “sloppy” appearing soldiers to their units after BCT. So the Army has decided to dedicate more time for recruits to become physically fit and develop discipline by spending more time on drill and ceremony, inspections, and learning military history.
“What we have found is it is taking far, far too much time. It’s taking three to four times as much time … just to qualify folks on the hand grenade course than we had designated so what is happening is it is taking away from other aspects of training,” Maj. Gen. Malcolm Frost, commanding general of the U.S. Army Center of Initial Military Training, told defense reporters on Friday.
“We are finding that there are a large number of trainees that come in that quite frankly just physically don’t have the capacity to throw a hand grenade 20 to 25 to 30 meters. In 10 weeks, we are on a 48-hour period; you are just not going to be able to teach someone how to throw if they haven’t thrown growing up.”
“Just because we took it off as a graduation requirement does not mean they won’t be conducting hand grenade or land navigation training,” Frost said. “They are going to learn all the technical aspects of the hand grenade, and they are going to learn tactical employment and they will throw a live hand grenade.
“With land navigation, it’s the same thing they are still going to conduct land navigation training; they are still going to conduct the day course they are still going to conduct the night course.”
“If we can get a more physically fit, better prepared, more-disciplined soldier in Basic Combat Training, AIT and [One-Station Unit Training] then we believe we will have less attrition in first unit of assignment,” Frost said.

Just for comparison, an M67 Grenade weighs 400 grams (14oz or slightly less than a pound). A femaile competitive shot put ball weighs 10 times as much at 4kg (8.8 lbs) and a male ball is nearly 20 times at 7.2 kg (16lbs). A regulation base ball is about 5oz (roughly 1/3 the granade). A basket ball is slightly heavier then the grenade at at about 20oz. ( But you do get both hands to throw it…maybe we need to make the granade bigger so we can use both hands). An NBA court is 28.7 meters long. So we are talking about throwing a ball slightly lighter than a basketball, but with one hand, about 10 feet short of the length of a basketball court. A typical neighborhood street is about 13-15 meters wide…just for another perspective.
Destruction of America: U.S. Army recruits ‘not strong enough to throw grenades,’ Military drops requirement to accommodate snowflakes.
Just when you think things can’t get worse with our backward society, you hear something like this and realize we really are doomed.
The U.S. Army will soon launch a redesign of Basic Combat Training, which they say is meant to build more discipline among the ranks as current recruits often show up with sloppy appearances and bad, undisciplined attitudes.
Major General Malcolm Frost, head of the US Army Center of Initial Military Training, told Military.com:
What leaders have observed in general is they believe that there is too much of a sense of entitlement, questioning of lawful orders, not listening to instruction, too much of a buddy mentality with NCOs and officers and a lot of tardiness being late to formation and duties,” Frost said.
While this may seem like a good thing to fix, it’s the training that is being dropped as a requirement for graduation that is most concerning.
The current generation of recruits lacks the ability to throw and navigate, so the U.S. Army is dropping the graduation requirements to accommodate diversity in their ranks.
You really can’t make this up. The latest generation of U.S. Army recruits will no longer be required to pass the land navigation course, and they will no longer have to worry about grenade qualification because the Army is now a liberal social experiment factory that can’t seem to find recruits who can throw a 14-ounce grenade the required 25 meters.
Maj. Gen. Malcolm Frost, commanding general of the U.S. Army Center of Initial Military Training, told defense reporters on Friday that “We are finding that there are a large number of trainees that come in that quite frankly just physically don’t have the capacity to throw a hand grenade 20 to 25 to 30 meters. In 10 weeks, we are on a 48-hour period; you are just not going to be able to teach someone how to throw if they haven’t thrown growing up.”
So now to make the social justice warriors, soy boys, and sissies of the current generation happy, the U.S. Army has decided it’s not really important that their recruits be able to safely throw a grenade far enough away, so they don’t kill themselves and the troops around them. Instead, we are going to worry about people’s feelings and not offend anyone who wasn’t taught how to throw a football growing up.
Call me crazy, but I thought the military was about warfighting, not catering to a generation of social justice causes, pansies, the LGBT (QRZ^$ and any other fucking letter or symbol they add on) lobby, and those who can’t toss a 14-ounce grenade.
So while the media tries to convince you that Russia is our enemy, they conveniently ignore the fact that traitors in this country are sissifying the troops who are supposed to defend us from our enemies.
So thanks to the bullshit politically correct culture that has invaded every aspect of our society, the future U.S. military will not only be made up of people who literally throw like little girls, but they’ll also not be able to find their way around the war zone without Google Maps telling them where to turn.
Despite its capabilities and funding levels, the US Armed Forces are not sufficiently prepared to meet global challenges in terms of readiness, training and equipment, military officials and experts say in what appears to be a bid to secure defense spending.
“America’s military is dangerously weak and unprepared today, and it’s not getting better,” John Sullivan and Justin T. Johnson wrote for the National Interest. This dire state, they argue, is true for the US Army, Air Force, Marines and the Navy.
Senior US military officials don’t disagree, pointing to the rapidly changing global environment, the technological developments made by other countries and their reduced budget as key issues.

“Given the past three years of reduced funding, coupled with the uncertainty of future funding, the Army risks going to war with insufficient readiness to win decisively,” acting US Secretary of the Army Patrick Murphy and Army Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Milley told the House Armed Services Committee in a joint statement.
Murphy and Milley maintain that “less than one third of Army forces are at acceptable readiness levels to conduct sustained ground combat in a full spectrum environment against a highly lethal hybrid threat or near-peer adversary.” This is how US military officials refer to Russia and China.

David Goldfein recently revealed. If this does not look bad enough, consider this: the USAF’s current readiness level marks a 30-percent reduction since Operation Desert Storm, the 1991 US war against Iraq.
America’s “enemies and potential adversaries have not stood idle,” Gen. Robert B. Neller, the 37th Commandant of the Marine Corps. “They have developed new capabilities which now equal or in some cases exceed our own.”

Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, also confirmed that the US military has a “significant readiness problem.” The Washington Free Beacon also quoted the general as saying that “the Army, Navy, and Marine Corps will not be sufficiently ready to counter the challenges they need to until around fiscal year 2020.” It will take the USAF an additional eight years.
The defense budget has featured prominently during the primaries, with the majority of candidates supporting increased defense spending. However, a recently released study has found that the majority of Americans support defense budget cuts.

The following enemy armed forces have no problem with weak personnel nor are they concerned with sensitivity. They are warriors. Trained extensively and conditioned to see the USA as an evil, a threat, the enemy. They are HELLBENT on our destruction and not likely to show any mercy. How do you think our spoiled, prissy military will fare against them?

THE ARABS, especially those in IRAN have NEVER CHANGED THEIR ATTITUDE TOWARD THE USA! They have been threatening our Death and burning our Flag for many, many years. They raise their children to hate us as the GREAT SATAN, so they grow up with hatred engrained in the hearts toward us. Their military see our defeat as their GOAL. They have focused on it for many decades and the energy in their hatred and focus on our demise has grown exponentially. It has NEVER DIMINISHED. They see dying in the fight as their greatest blessing. To be martyred for their goal gives them top status in the next world.

Tipping point for Global Christianity
In Libya, a shocking display of anti-American violence erupted on the very day Americans were remembering the eleventh anniversary of 9/11. The U.S. ambassador to Libya and three embassy staff were killed in an attack on the Benghazi consulate and a safe house refuge, and an American flag was burned outside more than 21 US and German Embassies including Iraq, India, Indonesia, Tunisia and Sudan. All the violence happened as Islamists blamed America for a film they said insulted the Prophet Mohammad (see side for link and explanation). (Aljazeera)
From a Christian perspective the attacks on embassies seem to be a tipping point for global Christianity. Mary Farr, Founder and President of The Christian Emergency Network (CEN), described the attacks as “unprecedented, well-organized and that the loss of security and sovereignty represented by each embassy is a “world changing” event for Christians, churches, and missionaries around the globe.”
She began by saying, “These events beg the questions: If the U.S. cannot or will not defend embassies, what will be defended? If the embassy staff, in Libya or elsewhere, is not defended, what will the aid be to any U.S. citizen travelling in a country who may be at risk? What does this mean for Christians, churches and missionaries around the globe?”
Marr went on to say, “This cauldron has been simmering for a very long time. Anyone can readily see this level and highly organized outrage was not simply because of one movie. These are highly orchestrated protests with historic and current security consequences for all Christians and missionaries. Historically, in times of battle when a fort is taken, a victorious flag rises as a symbol of defeat, such as we have seen with the U.S. flag in many countries being replaced by a black Islamist flag in recent days.
Erecting the Islamist flag over embassies makes the statement that the Islamist flag has replaced the sovereignty of the country and it is no longer recognized as a place of security and defence for that country or the citizens who reside in those countries.

Protesters Attack U.S. Embassy in Iraq, Chanting ‘Death to America’
President Trump blamed Iran after demonstrators breached the compound’s outer wall. Tensions are high after American airstrikes killed members of an Iran-backed militia.

BAGHDAD — Protesters broke into the heavily guarded compound of the United States Embassy in Baghdad on Tuesday and set fires inside in anger over American airstrikes that killed 24 members of an Iranian-backed militia over the weekend.
The men did not enter the main embassy buildings and later withdrew from the compound, joining thousands of protesters and militia fighters outside chanting “Death to America,” throwing rocks, covering the walls with graffiti and demanding that the United States withdraw its forces from Iraq.
The situation remained combustible, with the crowd vowing to camp indefinitely outside the sprawling compound, the world’s largest embassy. Their ability to storm the most heavily guarded zone in Baghdad suggested that they had received at least tacit permission from Iraqi security officials sympathetic to their demands.
President Trump, faced with scenes of unfolding chaos at an American embassy, lashed out against Iran, which he blamed for the protests.
“Iran will be held fully responsible for lives lost, or damage incurred, at any of our facilities,” he said in a tweet. “They will pay a very BIG PRICE! This is not a Warning, it is a Threat. Happy New Year!”
[Latest: U.S. embassy in Baghdad is hit by rocket fire.] He also spoke with Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi about the need to protect Americans and American facilities.
Speaking with reporters in an impromptu exchange Tuesday night at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, Mr. Trump said he thought his administration had handled the situation in Iraq “very well.” Asked about the possibility of war, Mr. Trump said, “I don’t think that would be a good idea for Iran,” adding, “I want to have peace, I like peace. And Iran should want peace more than anybody.”
Roughly 750 additional American troops will deploy to the region immediately, Secretary of Defense Mark Esper said late Tuesday. “This deployment is an appropriate and precautionary action taken in response to increased threat levels against U.S. personnel and facilities,” he said. The troops are likely to deploy to Kuwait.
Mr. Trump has long called for an end to Americanconflicts in the Middle East, but has been reluctant to pull troops from the region despite his remarks on the campaign trail.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo spoke by telephone with Mr. Abdul Mahdi and President Barham Salih in separate calls, and “made clear the United States will protect and defend its people,” according to a summary of the call from the State Department. It said that the Iraqi leaders “assured the secretary that they took seriously their responsibility” to safeguard American officials and property.
The State Department said that American personnel were safe and that there were no plans to evacuate the embassy. The ambassador, Matt Tueller, had been traveling and was not at the embassy when it was breached on Tuesday.
The American airstrikes on Sunday have resulted in the most serious political crisis in years for the United States in Iraq, stoking anti-Americanism and handing an advantage to Iran in its competition for influence in the country.
The airstrikes targeted an Iranian-backed Iraqi militia, Kataib Hezbollah, which the United States accused of carrying out a missile attack on an Iraqi military base that killed an American contractor and wounded American and Iraqi service members. A spokesman for the militia denied involvement in the attack.
But the size of the American response — five strikes in Iraq and Syria that killed two dozen fighters and wounded dozens of others — prompted condemnation from across the political spectrum in Iraq, and accusations that the United States had violated Iraqi sovereignty. It also drew sharp criticism and serious threats of reprisals from Iraq’s Iranian-backed militias.
The fact that the Iraqi government permitted militia members to enter the fortified Green Zone on Tuesday, allowing the protest to happen, demonstrated Iran’s powerful influence as well as the government’s difficulty in controlling the militias. But the Iraqi leadership’s success in averting a deeper incursion into the embassy compound and preventing any confrontation with American personnel suggested that the government may have intended to allow the militias to vent their anger with minimal damage.
The United States military made a show of force in response to the turmoil, with helicopter gunships circling overhead. From inside the compound, loudspeakers warned the crowd outside to keep away from the walls.

The United States of America has always been known as A CHRISTIAN NATION. Not because we have a State religion, or even because all Americans were Christians. But, because our government was based on Biblical Principals and because there was a majority of Bible believing Christians of all denominations living here and basing their lives on the WORD OF GOD.
Whether people want to believe it or not, we were a blessed nation. We had the covering of GOD and his provision and protection. Anyone who believes that they can take the Love of GOD out of the picture and still expect the USA to maintain its standing, prosperity, freedom and peace they are sadly mistaken.
The same GOD who protects the tiny land of Israel from all the enemies that surround her, has been the protector of the USA for a very long time. That is, until we, as a nation, turned out back on HIM.

Psalm 33: 8-12
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. 9 For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. 10 The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. 11 The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. 12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

The following excerpts were taken from the PDF:
By A. Lloyd Collins
The greatness of America did not come because our people were better, smarter or wiser than anyone else. The early leaders and citizens of our nation were marked by human flaws like the rest
of us. But most of these men and women had one thing in common. They acknowledged, honored, relied and called upon the Almighty God of the Bible. It is the fingerprint of God upon our heritage that shows why we became a great and free nation.
Dr. A. Loyd Collins wrote this little book in the late 1960s, shortly before I met him. He wanted this book to meet a long-felt need of showing the close relationship between God and the founding/development of our country.
Dr. Collins was Executive Vice-President of Baptist Christian College in Shreveport, Louisiana when I was a student there. His writings and lectures on God’s role in American history had a great
influence on my life and ministry. He introduced me to historical facts that had been hidden from me when I took history in school.
The lessons taught by Dr. Collins stimulated me to begin my quest to better understand why God chose to so richly bless this land. It’s really quite simple: bless God and He will bless you! My appreciation of America’s godly heritage continued to grow. In 1979, when this institution was founded, I was not surprised when God led us to call it “Patriot”.
The study of history has fallen on hard times. Many schools have dropped it from their curricula. Most U.S. history that is presented today has been revised to ignore the role played by the
Bible and prayer, as well as the blessings of God in our heritage. This book will introduce you to a few of these historical facts.
The sins and faults of our history are widely advertised and often exaggerated in modern textbooks and in mainstream media, so this book does not focus on our flaws.
It is important for us to realize that God has exalted this nation because there’s been some righteousness in our history. Very few recent American historians have discussed God’s role in American history. Modern textbooks in history in our public schools no longer mention God, or give Him credit for the greatness of our country.
A few early American writers of history, notably William Bradford, John Winthrop, and George Bancroft, made frequent mention of the part God played in making our country a reality.
Bancroft, who is often called “The Father of American History”, wrote a ten volume history of the United States. It was our first great national history and is still interesting reading. For a long time, it was considered as the standard work on the subject. Without hesitation or apology, Bancroft credits God with guiding and inspiring our early leaders through the many struggles that
made America “the land of the free and the home of the brave.”
Francis Parkman, another great historian of note, wrote of the noble work of early missionaries on our continent. The work and influence of these endeavors cannot be discounted in regard to the
growth and greatness of the United States.
We need now, as probably never before in our history, to think about God and what He has done to make possible our present position of leadership in the world. The peoples of other lands
look to America to show them the way to a better life. Science, as important as it is, must never become a substitute for God and His work.
In a prayer before the United States Senate on April 17, 1948, the great Chaplain Peter Marshall, said:
(Congressional Record).
No intelligent thinking person can fail to give serious consideration to the spiritual influences that have permeated our history. Miracles in our development and struggles for independence have
been so frequent and outstanding that they cannot be charged up to chance or coincidence by any possible stretch of a creative imagination.
Our country has been showered with a superabundance of blessings beyond the power of the comprehension of man. Is it not obvious that the Lord has made America great? “A land of honey
with sheep upon a thousand hills”; with waving fields of golden grain; with the boundless prairies of the West; the timber giants of the North, and the snow white cotton fields of sunny Dixie; a land
of peace and plenty where the people live like kings and queens.
A country like ours did not just happen that way. There must be a secret of our national success and greatness. Is it not to be found in our trust and faith in God? From the days when the bold and
courageous Christopher Columbus sailed the unchartered waters of the stormy Atlantic unto the present hour, we have looked Above
for the guidance of our life and destiny as a people and as a glorious republic. We have founded our way of life upon the Christian principles of justice, love, and freedom.
We have depended on the Lord and He has helped us as a nation. Our greatest leaders have had faith in and have trusted the Almighty to lead and to guide the Ship of State through the troubled
and foaming waters of many storms and much strife. They have looked Above and have sought the hand of the Almighty to steady the wheel. Millions of our people can testify to that faith, help and
trust. They cannot be wrong. Christianity and our churches have grown. The Bible is still the best seller in our country. No other book has so stood the test of time.
God has smiled on America as He has never smiled on any other nation in the history of the world. The matchless story of our country proves that. And if we once again look Above for our
guidance, God will surely bless us. He will continue to keep us great and make us a blessing to all mankind. There can be no other source of greatness and leadership such as ours.
“Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.”
(Proverbs 14:34)
“This is a Christian Nation.” That’s what the Supreme
Court of the United States declared in 1892. This is easily
confirmed by an honest review of even a few statements made by
our founding fathers. For example…
Samuel Chase said: “By our form of government, the
Christian religion is the established religion; and all sects and
denominations of Christians are placed upon the same equal
footing, and are equally entitled to protection in their religious
liberty.”
John Quincy Adams stated: “The highest glory of the
American Revolution was this; it connected in one indissoluble
bond the principles of civil government with the principles of
Christianity. From the day of the Declaration…the American
people were bound by the laws of God, which they all, and by
the laws of The Gospel, which they nearly all, acknowledge as
the rules of their conduct.”
Patrick Henry said, “It is when people forget God that
tyrants forge their chains.”

President Barack Obama stated at a press conference in Turkey last week that we Americans “do not consider ourselves a Christian nation, or a Muslim nation, but rather, a nation of citizens who are, uh, bound by a set of values.”
OBAMA DECLARES THAT USA IS NO LONGER A CHRISTIAN NATION
Link: https://youtu.be/tmC3IevZiik CLICK TO VIEW THE VIDEOObama has made similar statements in the past. In June 2007, he told CBS, “Whatever we once were, we are no longer a Christian nation — at least, not just. We are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, and a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers.” Note the progression. In 2007, he said we are no longer “just” a Christian nation. Now, in 2009, he says we “do not consider ourselves a Christian nation” at all.
There is a sense in which this writer agrees with him. Unlike England at the time of our nation’s founding, we do not have an official state church. And I don’t want one — I don’t want Barack Obama to be the head of the church.
But that’s not what the U.S. Supreme Court meant when, in Church of the Holy Trinity v. United States, 143 U.S. 437 (1892), they held that “this is a Christian nation.” They meant that this nation was founded on biblical principles, and that those who brought these biblical principles to this land and who implemented those principles in our system of government were for the most part professing Christians who were actively involved with Christian churches. In my own book Christianity and the Constitution: The Faith of Our Founding Fathers (Baker Book House, 1987, 2008), I demonstrate that at least 51 of the 55 delegates to the Constitutional Convention were members of Christian churches, and that leading American political figures in the founding era quoted the Bible far more than any other source.
And the ideals on which they framed the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution — that man is subject to the laws of nature and of nature’s God, that God created man equal and endowed him with basic unalienable rights, that human nature is sinful and therefore government power must be carefully restrained by the Constitution — are ideals that they derived, directly or indirectly, from the Bible. Some of these ideals may be shared by those of other religious traditions. But the Founding Fathers, with few exceptions, did not read the Koran, or the Upanishads, or the Bagavigita. They read the Bible, and they heard the Bible preached on Sunday mornings.
Besides denying that America is a Christian nation in his April 6 news conference in Turkey, President Obama told the Turkish Parliament on the same day: “We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world — including in my own country.” Arguably, this is a true statement — if by his “own country” Obama was referring to Kenya!
But seriously, the suggestion that Islam has shaped America in any substantial way is ludicrious. As Robert Spencer asks,
Were there Muslims along Paul Revere’s ride, or standing next to Patrick Henry when he proclaimed, “Give me liberty or give me death”? Where there Muslims among the framers or signers of the Declaration of Independence, which states that all men — not just Muslims, as Islamic law would have it — are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? Were there Muslims among those who drafted the Constitution and vigorously debated its provisions, or among those who enumerated the Bill of Rights, which guarantees — again in contradiction to the tenets of Islamic law — that there should be no established national religion, and that the freedom of speech should not be infringed?
The primary contact our Founding Fathers had with Islam occurred during their struggles with the Barbary pirates, who from 1500-1800 carried over a million European Christians — including some Americans — into Muslim slavery. For centuries the Knights of Malta protected Europe from the Barbary pirates, but after their demise the European powers decided that paying tribute to the Barbary rulers in exchange for protection was easier and cheaper than fighting them. But this galled the Americans. In 1786, while Thomas Jefferson and John Adams were in Europe, they asked the ambassador from Tripoli by what right Tripoli could claim tribute from nations which had done his country no injury. Jefferson and Adams reported the ambassador’s response:
It was written in their Koran that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet [Mohammed] were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful [Muslims] to plunder and enslave; and that every muslim who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to paradise.
Much of the Muslim world has a negative view of the United States. Sadly, President Obama seems to think the Muslim world will warm up to our country if our president shares their negative view. But the lessons of history clearly demonstrate that the world’s leading super-power is never popular. But to what country do the tired and poor of the world seek to immigrate — Afghanistan? What nation’s constitution do other nations look to as a model — China’s? And when other nations are stricken with disaster, to what nation do they turn for help — Sudan?
No, they temporarily set aside their “Yankee Go Home” placards and turn to America, the most generous nation in the history of the world, for help that is seldom denied. And America’s generosity is a response learned from our Christian heritage.
