A Holiday Prophetically Significant for Today

Whether or not you observe God’s Appointed Feast days, this particular holiday holds a very significant message for TODAY’s world.  PURIM is not one of God’s Appointed Feasts as laid out in Leviticus.  It is a feast day that has been celebrated ever since the historic events of that day.  The story contains some very meaningful lessons one can glean.  However, it is not without controversy.   It could also contain some powerful deceptions.

It merits study even so, because right now, this holiday holds more than one message clearly for today.  It is  prophetic, uplifting, encouraging and contains a strong warning.  Our current situation is similar in many ways to that of the Jews in the days of Queen Esther.  I guarantee you that you were placed here for such a time as this.  Just like Esther, you have a role to play in the redemption/salvation of GOD’s people Jew and Gentile alike.  You and I are called to stand in FAITH, Trusting the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Creator of All things to move on behalf of His people.  God moves in response to FAITH.  When we trust and believe him, and step out into the unknown…God steps in.

Contrary to popular belief, PURIM is not the Hebrew Halloween or Mardi Gras, though they dress in costumes and there are sweets and often festivals or Carnivals are part of the celebration.  During Purim the Congregation reads through the book of Esther in a very unique way.  They act out the story with participants booing and clatter with noise makers whenever the EVIL Haman is mentioned.  Haman is a foreshadowing of the AntiChrist who will demand the death of all Bible Believers,  Jew and Gentile.  A day we are beginning to see manifest itself.  The force that behind this phenomenon is the same one that drove Haman to call for the killing of all JEWS including women and children.  It is the spirit that drove the Amalekites to sacrifice children, adults and animals.

It is the same spirit that is driving the ungodly to rape, torture and murder children, adults and animals for their adrenaline in their blood.  We are living in the last days.  As in the days of NOAH, when ALL FLESH became corrupt.  When there was mixing of the seed, the DNA of all flesh.  When people were bloodthirsty, lascivious and rebellious.  That is what is happening in the earth today.   And the book of Esther is a word of encouragement.  It is warning us of the dangers before us and declaring that we are called of GOD to do our part.  To bloom where we are planted.  To be His witnesses and to share our faith with those who are perishing.

Purim 2021 – For Such a Time as This – Nothing Has Changed

“For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Esther 4:14 (NKJ)

On Thursday night Jewish people in Israel and around the world once again celebrated the festival of Purim, which remembers of the story of how Esther saved her people from destruction at the hands of the demonically inspired Haman. Haman was just one in a line of many men who did their best to destroy the Jewish people as Satan attempted to prevent Bible prophecy being fulfilled. Ever since Israel became a nation almost 4000 years ago, Satan has tried to destroy it. The account of history is a succession of wicked men who Satan anointed and used to try to destroy Israel. The list includes the Pharaoh in Egypt, Haman in Persia, Antiochus Epiphanes, Herod, Titus and Hitler. Praise YAH, they all failed and Purim is still being celebrated by the Jewish people, and since1948 we have own country back to celebrate Purim in.

There is nothing new under the sun and nothing really changes in the spiritual realm or the natural realm. Israel is still under attack by those who serve the purposes of Satan today. I try not to be unduly pessimistic, but at this year’s Purim time the scene still looks set for a major escalation in the situation here. Iran (ancient Persia) continues to threaten to destroy Israel and has suffered numerous and embarrassing losses of their military installations that they attempted to establish in Syria. Many Iranian military personnel have been injured and killed as at the hands of the Israelis. The radical Islamic regime must be desperate to strike back at Israel. The Israeli / ‘Palestinian’ peace process is as good as dead and we need to pray that it stays that way. The PA leadership is warning that the prospects of a peace agreement are almost zero following the US and other nations returning their embassies to Jerusalem, and the fictitious ‘Palestinian’ people have lost all hope in having a state with Jerusalem as its capital, leaving violence and terror as their only options.

Anti-Semitism is once again on the rise in most of the world, even in nations like the USA and the United Kingdom, where even politicians are making their views obvious for all to see. That should not surprise or shock us as the Bible tells us that Satan is currently the god of this age (2 Cor 4:4) and the whole world lies under his influence (1 Jn 5:19). Satan hates Israel and the Jewish people because he knows the prophecies, so it follows those who are knowingly or unknowingly under his influence have the same hatred. The Jewish people know that the world, at the very best, doesn’t like us, and at the worst hates and despises us.

The reason for the intense hatred of the Jews is not because of who we are, but because of Who our very existence as a people, testifies to. It is reported that the last Russian Czar asked one of his advisors to prove the existence of GOD. The man answered in two words  – THE JEWS! The Jewish people and the nation of Israel are a ‘banner’ (Isaiah 11:12) to the world that GOD is who the Bible says He is, and Satan hates us for it. Over the last few decades the Devil has been very successful in returning almost all of the once Christian nations, back to be Pagan nations once again. Now most of the world also hates on-fire Born-Again Christians, because they also testify of the same God – the GOD of Israel. Soon most of the world, under the influence of the evil one, will vent its demonically inspired wrath in a way never seen before against Israel, the Jewish people and the Body of Messiah. The Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated these End Time events.

However this is not a time to be fearful. This is a time to work with the LORD as He brings this present evil age to its climax. Josie and I believe that like Esther, we have all come to the kingdom “for such a time as this”. Those who regularly receive our updates will have heard me say that before, but I truly believe it is true and will continue to say so. I sense a call to continually remind and inspire the people of GOD to be about the Father’s business, especially the business of restoration and protection of Israel and the Jewish people as the Father prepares to supernaturally reveal His Son, Yeshua the Messiah, to Israel (Zechariah 12:10), in preparation for the restoration of His Kingdom on the Earth in Jerusalem.

I want to repeat my challenge to every Christian at this time of Purim, to be an Esther, and to fulfill the purpose and the destiny for which you have come to the kingdom at this strategic time. The world is closing in on Israel and for that matter, on the true Church. Now is very definitely the time to be like Esther, to allow the Spirit of The LORD of Hosts who resides within you, to rise up within you and empower you to go before the ‘kings’ and plead on Israel’s behalf. There needs to be heard many prophetic voices speaking for GOD on Israel’s behalf. It is actually a lot easier for us than it was for Esther. She had to go before a real king at the risk of her life. We all know those famous words she spoke “I will go before the king, and if I perish, I perish” (Esther 5:16)

Now is not the time to remain silent! God forbid that we would be amongst those of whom it was prophetically said, “for if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish (Esther 4:14) Please increase your prayer and intercession for Aliyah and Salvation of the Jewish people, and also let’s speak up in the natural whenever there is an opportunity to share what we know and believe.

For Such a Time as This

JANUARY 14, 2019

Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, ‘Do not imagine that you in the king’s palace can escape any more than all the Jews. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?’” Esther 4:13-14 (NASB)

“For such a time as this.”

It’s a phrase tossed around frequently, often without much thought to the original meaning or context in which it was said. It can mean: special, chosen or royal. Many people even quote Mordecai’s rebuke to Esther as a life-verse representing power and favor. You’ll see shirts, hats, mugs and social media posts that proudly ring out, “for such a time as this.”

But what did this phrase really mean?

When we look at the life of Esther throughout the book titled in her name, this phrase actually refers to Esther being scolded for her self-indulgent, self-preserving mindset. In today’s language, we might call that being “shot down” for having narcissistic tendencies! Mordecai reproved Esther for living large and embracing royalty over righteousness — selfies over service. Through those telling words, he reminded her she had been chosen to set her own interests aside, let go of her own ambitions, and face an enemy full-on.

She was to risk her life and her legacy with no guarantees of a positive outcome. That’s the “for such a time as this” Mordecai challenged Esther to accept.

“Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, ‘Do not imagine that you in the king’s palace can escape any more than all the Jews. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?’” (Esther 4:13-14)

And that’s the “for such a time as this” God also sets before you and me.

God has given each of us a job, position, resources, education and more. God has opened opportunities to optimize His kingdom purposes. He didn’t place you or me where we are so we could eat figs all day long or post pictures on social media. He’s placed us wherever we are because we are in the midst of a battle, a war. You and I are in the midst of a seismic conflict involving good versus evil.

To miss a kingdom assignment because we’ve become too caught up in our personal kingdom is one of the greatest tragedies we could ever face. An entire nation was grateful for how Esther responded to Mordecai’s rebuke. Their lives were spared. How many souls can be spared in the culture where we live today when we choose to step up to service, even if it involves sacrifice?

Lord, turn my heart and my mind toward You and toward the role You have chosen for me to live out. Help me to put Your will and Your purpose ahead of my own. I humbly bow before You and ask for Your direction and guidance, as well as Your courage to live out the calling I’ve been given for such a time as this. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

TRUTH FOR TODAY

Isaiah 33:6, “And He will be the stability of your times, a wealth of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the LORD is his treasure.” (NASB)

Proverbs 16:4a, “The LORD has made everything for its own purpose.” (NASB)

REFLECT AND RESPOND

What are some ways the Lord is asking you to sacrifice on behalf of His purposes or serving others? What’s one step you can take to move more fully into His calling of surrender to Him on behalf of His greater plan?

Critics of the Bible claim that the God of the Old Testament is bloodthirsty and vengeful. He does not appear to be the loving Father that Christians claim He is. One example is God commanding Israel to kill the inhabitants of Canaan:

Now go and strike Amalek and devote to destruction all that they have. Do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’”I Samuel 15:3 (ESV)

Then they devoted all in the city to destruction, both men and women, young and old, oxen, sheep, and donkeys, with the edge of the sword. — Joshua 6:21 (ESV)

This seems cruel and unnecessarily violent, but the Bible describes repeatedly that these people were so vile and such an abomination to God, that they had to be destroyed. God warns Israel not to contaminate itself by living among or intermarrying with any of the tribes or nations associated with Canaanite (Phoenician) religion. (listed in Deuteronomy 7:1

Even though God had given the Canaanites many generations to repent, they had invited evil to contaminate them physically, mentally and spiritually. God is just and slow to anger. If these people had to be destroyed, we must assume they were beyond redemption. (Please note that only God can judge when a person or group of people is beyond redemption. Only He knows the heart. The Israelites were only carrying out God’s instructions).

The four hundred years that Israel spent in Egyptian captivity was partly to give the Canaanites time to repent, because “the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete”. Genesis 15:16b

Not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart are you going in to possess their land, but because of the wickedness of these nations the Lord your God is driving them out from before you, … — Deuteronomy 9:5a (ESV)

Ancient Greek and Roman manuscripts, along with archaeological discoveries have given a clear picture of the religious practices of the Canaanites. These sources agree with and prove the Biblical accounts. The Canaanite tribes worshiped the gods Baal, Asherah (Ashtoreth) and Molech, who are mentioned throughout the Old Testament. Rituals to honor these and other gods involved child sacrifice, sexual and fertility rituals, bestiality, temple prostitution, worship of nature and phallic idols. (Sound Familiar?  Sounds like everything that is being done today.)

Canaanite religion was practiced in an area called a Tophet, or high place. Tophet’s were places of sacrifice that involved the burning of living infants. A metal statue of the god Molech with outstretched arms was heated red hot. The child to be sacrificed was placed in the arms of the idol until it was roasted alive. The body would then fall into a pit below the idol to be cremated. The ashes and bones were gathered together into a jar and buried on the Tophet.

Archaeological digs on a Tophet in Carthage (northern Africa) revealed over 25,000 of these jars. The most valuable sacrifice was of a first-born child. Some Canaanite’s would buy slave children for sacrifice, but this was not considered to be as effective.

Until the 20th century, the idea that the Canaanites did these things was rejected as impossible. It was claimed that the Greek and Roman records were a politically motivated smear campaign. (Truthers called Conspiracy Theorists even that far back.) But the Bible is clear that these horrible practices were common among the Canaanites. Even though archaeological evidence supports the Biblical account, some still refuse to believe that a culture could have sustained such practices over such a long period of time without total collapse.

The Old Testament mentions Asherah poles or trees numerous times. Although there is no clear description of these objects, ancient sources seem to describe fertility idols of the goddess Asherah, or giant phalluses (probably both). Certain trees and sacred groves of trees were also devoted to the worship of this goddess.

Since Asherah was the goddess of fertility, her worship required sexual rituals and bestiality. Some men would castrate themselves to achieve the “honor” of being temple prostitutes. They would live in the temples of Asherah, dress in women’s clothing and prostitute themselves as a form of worship. Because of bestiality and other horrific sexual practices, God ordered the destruction of the livestock because even the animals had been defiled.

God knew that if Israel was not obedient in destroying these people, they would be pulled down to their level. That is exactly what happened. Fortunately, there were still a few faithful people among the Israelites who continued to worship God.

“When you come into the land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominable practices of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. –Deuteronomy 18:9-12 (ESV)

Many Israelite kings tolerated Canaanite religion, including Solomon. Eventually Israel became so entrenched in pagan worship that the ancient Greeks did not recognize them as a separate people from the Canaanites. One of the most evil Israelite kings to follow Canaanite religion was Manasseh. His practices are described in II Kings 21

And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, according to the despicable practices of the nations whom the Lord drove out before the people of Israel.

He rebuilt the high places that Hezekiah had destroyed. (Tophets)

He sacrificed his own son by burning

He erected altars for Baal and made an Asherah

He set up an image of Asherah in the house of the Lord

He consulted fortune tellers, mediums and necromancers

He built altars for pagan worship within the courts and the Temple of God

and Manasseh led them astray to do more evil than the nations had done whom the Lord destroyed before the people of Israel.

Later, King Josiah destroyed the idols and cleansed the Temple. This account reveals more about the corruption of the Israelites in II Kings 23

Burned all vessels used in the Temple for the worship of Baal and Asherah

Destroyed the Asherah idol from the Temple, burned it and beat it to dust

Broke down the houses of the male cult prostitutes who were in the house of the Lord (they were living in the Jerusalem Temple)

Deposed the pagan priests and sacrificed them on their own altars

Destroyed the Tophets so that no further child sacrifices could be performed

Broke down the pagan altars that Manasseh had placed in the Temple

Defiled the high places that King Solomon had built for Asherah

God wants repentance and is amazingly patient, but He will not tolerate this kind of sin indefinitely. The question to ask is not “Is God bloodthirsty?” but “How could He be so patient and merciful?”

The Book of Esther:
Agagites and Modern Day Amalekites?

In my previous articles, I have discussed the controversial and prophetic nature of the Book of Esther. I have explained how the Lord titled this book, “Something Hidden”, and then allowed controversies over it to arise repeatedly through out history to bring this writing to the forefront of religious thought. I have explained how Esther 9:12-13 contains a prophetic pattern which came to fulfillment when the Nazi war criminals were executed on October 16, 1946. I also demonstrated how Esther 9:13-15 contains another prophetic pattern by showing how it came to dramatic fulfillment during both the first and second Gulf Wars. But, now I would like to consider why the Lord hid these things in this particular book. My beliefs as to His intentions for doing this are very important for us today and extremely relevant to the next revelation that I wish to share 🙂

**********************************
The Book of Esther, in a nutshell, is basically about how the Lord works behind the scenes to protect His chosen people, the Jews. Think about this… Haman was an enemy who plotted the annihilation of the Jews. Adolph Hitler and his Nazi henchmen also attempted the complete erradication of the Jewish race. The complete genocide of David’s descendants were the goal that both of these enemies were striving to accomplish! Then Saddam Hussein sent scud missiles into Israel to provoke her to war and as a consequence two wars have ruined his country and he and his sons are now dead. I believe that the Lord is pretty straight forward when He is teaching us something that is important to Him. Therefore, I believe that the reason He hid these prophetic patterns in this particular book is to underscore the basic lesson which He is demonstrating in this story; That He will always protect a remnant of His chosen people, The Jews.

To begin, I think it is very important to note that both Haman and the German Nazi’s were Amalekites. Please read the following verses:

Esther 3:1
1 After these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes that were with him. (KJV)
You will notice that in this verse, it states that Haman is an Agagite and not an Amalekite. But, an Agagite is a royal descendant of the Amalekites as verified in this verse:

1 Samuel 15:8
8 And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword. (ASV)
In my prior article, The Book of Esther: A Nazi Connection?, I explained the common held belief among modern Jewry that Haman’s son, Porata, was the father of the German people. If this is true, that would make Adolph Hitler and the German people Amalekites as well!

So, why is this important? Because the Lord has a lot to say about how He feels about these people – and none of it is positive! This is what the Bible tells us about the Amalekites:

And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. 1

The LORD will have war with Amalek
from generation to generation.
2

Then Balaam saw Amalek and uttered his oracle:
Amalek was first among the nations, but he will come to ruin at last.” 3

When the LORD your God gives you rest from all the enemies around you in the land he is giving you to possess as an inheritance, you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven. Do not forget!
4
Whew! The Lord has some very strong things to say about the Amalekites! The Amalekites have always been the enemy of the Jews and they have always plotted to utterly destroy them. No wonder the Lord feels so strongly about them!

So, in conclusion, I believe that the Lord hid these prophetic patterns specifically in this particular book to underscore the fact that He will always protect His chosen people. It is not a coincidence that He has hidden these prophecies in this book for us to search out!

Now I challenge you to consider the implications… Today, can you think of any enemies of the Jews who have sworn their utter destruction? Who have sworn to wipe them off the map? Answer: Iran! Did you know that Iran is the only country in the entire world which is operated under Islam’s Shariah law? Did you know that the country of Iran was formerly named Persia and is the very same land where Esther’s history took place? Hmmm… I find that particularly interesting…

Is it possible that Amalek is alive and well in the world today? Could it be that the Lord still has some unfinshed business with Amalek? For answers to those questions, please read the next article in this series, The Book of Esther: Amalek and the Prince of Persia!

BIBLE BATTLES  BATTLE OF REPHIDIM – DEFEAT OF THE AMALEKITES – MOSES ON THE HILL

Battle of REPHIDIM – Defeat of the Amalekites – Moses on the hill

AndyOctober 24, 2016Bible Battles5 Comments

Bible Battle #4 – C. 1446 BC

After the Hebrews crossed the Red Sea their goal was to reach Mount Sinai. Their camp was attacked by nomadic Amalekites who saw them as trespassers but were defeated.

ANCIENT HISTORY before the Battle of Rephidim

As the people journeyed through the wilderness they began complaining about their thirst. Moses was directed by God to strike a rock at Rephidim and have water come out from it. This miracle quenched the people’s thirst and a possible rebellion. The people were still not ready for fighting, especially after
having grumbled against God and their leader.

The Amalekites were the first opponent if Israel in a long succession of future enemies. They effectively launched an unprovoked attack against the Israelites soon after they crossed the Red Sea.
Their attack might have been motivated by:

(a) Fear of invasion.

(b) Intolerance towards Hebrews passing through their territory.

(c) Protect or control the water sources at Wadi Refayid.

It is not possible to know for sure but, regardless, this action led to the Alamekites being categorized as mortal enemies of Israel for many generations to come.

The AMALEKITE ENEMY

By references made, throughout scripture, of the Amalekite scorn for God we may assume one or both of the following:
(a) these people had been given knowledge of the Hebrew God by circulating stories or other means; (b) they might have witnessed the power of God firsthand through the parting of the Red Sea.

What took place at the Red Sea crossing was, albeit in limited point of view,  God’s exposure as a super weapon in the hands of the Hebrews.

NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN

This was not unlike the US deployment of the first atomic bombs in 1945. Although this served to bring the JapaneseEmpire to its knees (as the Hebrews had done to Egypt), the greatest effect was as an intimidation to the Soviet Union.

God assured His people that the nations would be terrified, in anguish and terror of them (Exodus 15:14-17). This was to ensure that the way would be clear for their safe, unopposed passage into Sinai. God did not want other nations to be subdued by Israel unless they stood on the way.

The assembly marched through the Sin Desert and arrived at Marah, hungry and thirsty. God provided manna and quail for them. One of the theories about what this manna is that it consists of secretions if burrowing insects left on tamarisk bushes. Regardless, what is important is that people were given provision by God.

For provision of water, God directed Moses to strike a rock at Rephidim.

MILITARY HISTORY of the Battle of Rephidim

At this point the people were at their weakest.

(1) On the first day the Israelite encampment may have incurred an initial exploratory attack from the Amalekites who were assessing Israel’s numbers. Moses immediately puts Joshua in charge of a fighting force for the next day. There are historians that stipulate that Joshua may have had military training in Egypt and is well prepared with the tactical principles to command the Hebrews.

(2) On the second day Moses made sure he was at the top of the hill not to direct the battle but for the combatants to see him and be encouraged. In many battles, right up to the modern day, we see hills as important vantage points from where the officers can direct the movements of the troops. Here the role is reversed.

(3) The Amalekites launched full out attacks. The fighting morale was crucial here. Moses made sure he kept his arms raise all throughout, needing the help of Aaron and Hur. The enemy was close to winning a few times but were ultimately defeated by Joshua. After the battle, Moses built an altar
called “The Lord is my Banner”.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE in the Battle of Rephidim

COLORS

Banners were used in ancient military tactics for communication. We do not have an indication of banners being used in this battle. Indeed it was Moses’ arms that served as a banner for the battle reflecting God’s power over the outcome. Moses served as a banner for the fighting men but he was but a reflection of God, the true banner.

The spirit of God lifts up the war banner in our spirit man for us to have strategic advantage in the fight.

Isaiah 59:19 AMP: [19] So as the result of the Messiah’s intervention they shall reverently fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him and put him to flight for He will come like a rushing stream which the breath of the Lord drives.

The best the Devil is is slow. Our power is fast moving, stronger and better than the enemy. If we speak right then he doesn’t even show up. All translations have a weak adjective to describe the enemy’s rising waters and a strong adjective to describe the spirit of God.

This attack was particularly harsh because the Amalekites had no compassion for a helpless people that was not even an enemy. They had no fear of God and an attitude of utter disdain for God’s heart of charity and compassion will not be forgotten and God thereafter instructs his people to never have anything to do with the Amalekites and to shun them forever.

The Amalekites, that day, lost a lot more than a battle. They were perpetually cut off from the creator of a heaven and Earth and disallowed the benefit and protection of being under Him.

American Thinker on MeWe

Amalek: Israel’s Ancient Enemy Lives among Us

In the annals of Jewish history, “[t]he Amalekites, descendants of Amalek, were an ancient biblical nation living near the land of Canaan. They were the first nation to attack the Jewish people after the Exodus from Egypt, and they are seen as the archetypal enemy of the Jews. The nation of Amalek is long gone, but they live on as the internal [and external] enemies that the Jewish people battle on a daily basis.” Amalek seeks Israel’s physical as well as spiritual annihilation.

Dear Reader — take a moment and substitute the word America for the word Israel, and you will begin to see the trajectory of this article.

At the dawn of the American Revolution, John Adams observed, “If the people are capable of understanding, seeing and feeling the differences between true and false, right and wrong, virtue and vice, to what better principle can the friends of mankind apply, than to the sense of this difference?”

As Mark Alexander writes “[b]ut today, the ability of Americans to discern ‘between true and false, right and wrong, virtue and vice,’ is being systematically eroded by leftist politicos, in collusion with their 24/7 Left media and Big Tech enablers, relentlessly seeking to empower the state.”

Consequently, America is presently in a battle, not only for its physical well-being but also for its spiritual values.  In the world of media, for example, The Atlantic, endorses the “insane racism of Ta Nehisi Coates” while also hosting a film by Steve Jobs’ widow that blames Jews for all the Middle Eastern wars.  Even the world of sports is being corrupted.

The Marxist Left has vowed to destroy America.  Their radical Islamic allies never stop in their all-consuming desire to create a global caliphate.  In fact, in 1990, James Zogby, president of the Arab American Institute, established a . . . “plan to undermine the Jewish community in America by organizing the Left here against Israel’s ‘oppression’ of Palestinians.”

Zogby saw the power of framing Israelis as ‘white oppressors’ of innocent, indigenous, darker-skinned Palestinians. And he saw the possibilities of mobilizing left-leaning ethnic, racial, and religious groups against ‘Israeli oppression.’  The prescient Zogby understood how the Jewish left could easily become the willing lynchpin of his strategy.

Zogby’s initiatives … promoted Jews as privileged ‘whites.’ Today, 30 years later, one sees the power of this concept: Jews in the United States, like those in Israel, are now viewed by a generation of progressives as ‘oppressors.’

Yet, as Dean Sherr points out, too many Jewish organizations have a “new set of attitudes towards anti-Semitism: that it is of lesser importance in the west than other forms of racism.”  Caroline Glick exposes the hypocrisy of far-Left Jewish organizations who deliberately choose to ignore the hatred and anti-Semitism of Black Lives Matter.  They want to oust Mort Klein of the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) because he dared to point out Black Lives Matter’s Jew hatred and hatred of Israel.

Moreover, in 2017 progressive Jews released an open letter in defense of anti-Semite Linda Sarsour this, despite Sarsour’s  praise for Nation of Islam leader and rabid anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan, and the claim that “sharia law is reasonable.”

This perfectly describes the other component of Amalek — that some elements of Amalek exist within ourselves.  Jews are confusing genuine justice with social justice.

Jews are ignoring that liberal – progressive – Leftis/Marxist politics “undermine the manifest self-interest of American Jewry.” The politics of the progressive Jew is “bordering on the suicidal.”

Thus, we must be strong and alert in order to prevail.  America encompasses the idea that the laws of our land are G-d given to protect our freedoms; the belief that there needs to  be equal justice under the law is integral to America.

Amalek, on the other hand, despises the moral values in our Constitution,  loathes the protections of the individual and seeks to destroy the opportunities that create our well-being and wealth.

Certainly Jews in the US have traditionally been supportive of those who suffered from discrimination.  But far too many Jewish organizations have given over their souls to the Red/Green alliance.  They seem not to understand that the modern Amalek will attack Jews, attack freedom, and attack America.  By accepting progressivism, Jews are implicitly “downgrading the seriousness of anti-Semitism.” They have forgotten that the Jew is always the canary in the mine.

Rabbi Asher Benzio Buchman[1] in the journal Hakirah (Volume 28, Spring 2020) explains:

[T]he base of the Democratic Party in the United States is made up of the envious lower classes, the Muslims, and the G-dless ‘intellectuals’ who dominate and indoctrinate on our college campuses and in the media. All are driven by jealousy.  Feminists and homosexuals coexist in blissful harmony with Muslims, who are for the oppression of women and the murder of homosexuals.  Jealousy and its precipitous hatred for the Jews and Judeo-Christian America unite them.  Many prosperous people will join in for … the greatest jealousy is of virtue, and even the rich and famous are infested with it.

Consider the never ending virtue signaling that businesses, schools, and Hollywood proudly demonstrate while displaying no understanding of the irony [emphasis mine] of it all. Consequently, “[p]rotesters from the Black Lives Matter movement vandalized and toppled a statue . . .  in Madison, Wisconsin, of Col. Hans Christian Heg, an immigrant from Norway who died fighting for the Union against slavery.”

Rabbi Buchman cites the book Why the Jews authored by Prager and Telushkin which has a chapter on “Non-Jewish” Jews, from Marx to Chomsky. Buchman states that “we must acknowledge the phenomenon of biological Jews who are converts from Judaism to the nation of Amalek.”

They are in lockstep with Hillary Clinton to uproot American culture. In fact, “[s]peaking to  the 2015  Women in the World Summit, Clinton declared that ‘deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed.'”

Obama went even farther in his transformation of the country and it should surprise no one that the riots, and the acceptance of a Marxist terrorist group such as BLM is now roundly applauded. The Left admires the godless quality of communism and yearns for the conquest of America.  Accordingly, a “Catholic teacher is fired for criticizing the Black Lives Matter Movement.”

Certainly, “chaos is the order of the day throughout the entire democratic world.  This has been accelerated by the hypocrisy and intolerance of the vindictive Left, aided and abetted by foolish bleeding-heart pseudo-liberals who have become accomplices in the undermining of democracy.” Jews, “especially those lacking an authentic Jewish education,  consider that the well-being of the world and politically correct standards of social values must be their priority — with disregard to the harm this inflicts on them as a community.” Moreover, far too many liberal rabbis in American seem to be content with ignoring the avowed enemies of the Jewish people.

For example, there is the American Jewish Committee who in 2016 chose the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) to launch a Muslim-Jewish Advisory Council – this even though ISNA has ties to Islamic terrorists.

As Jews contemplate a vote for Joe Biden, do they realize that he supports J Street which is “one of the most virulent, anti-Israel organizations in the history of Zionism and Judaism?”

Valerie Sobel emphatically points out what the Democratic Party has become in her “Dear Jewish American Leftists: It’s Time for a Talk.” It should be mandatory reading at the Shabbat table.

CAIR or the Council on American-Islamic Relations has connections with the Muslim Brotherhood which seeks to infiltrate America and destroy the country.  Yet, the Massachusetts Board of Rabbis (MBR) joined forces with the Hamas front group CAIR.  So CAIR, a terrorist-linked group goes from influencing the War College to influencing Congress.   Intifada Realism is becoming more clear each day when radical Islam allies itself with the radical Left.

Moreover, a pogrom recently occurred in Fairfax, Los Angeles as the people proudly held up Black Lives Matter signs. Consequently, anti-Semitism is in full vogue.

Astonishingly, even those allegedly versed in Judaism are in denial about BLM.

After the attacks on synagogues in Fairfax, the major Modern Orthodox synagogues in nearby Beverlywood, the more modern counterpart of the community, conducted Black Lives Matter sessions. Even though these same synagogues had to rush out their Torah scrolls to protect them from a racist mob, they did not voice any pain or outrage, or offer solidarity to their fellow vandalized synagogues.

Unlike the statements by Young Israel and the Agudah, the Orthodox Union failed to even address the attacks on synagogues. Local leaders urged Orthodox Jews, who were the victims of the racist violence, to atone for their imaginary crimes of racism and to take up the hateful slogan of Black Lives Matter.

Israeli-born philanthropist and activist Adam Milstein, who lives in Los Angeles, said …  ‘[t]he Jewish community is in denial. The fact that synagogues got tagged and Jewish businesses were looted with [signs saying] ‘Free Palestine’ and ‘Kill the Jews,’ is not a coincidence. The rioters are antifa and Black Lives Matter and they are inherently anti-Semitic.

Amalek resides in our society.  We are approaching a day of reckoning when Jews need to wake up and stop ignoring the existential danger to America and to themselves.

Pur in PurimSoon we will bake hamentaschen, dress up in costume, and read the Book of Esther (“The Megillah”) to celebrate the joyous holiday of Purim. According to verse 9:26 of that very book, we get the name “Purim” from the pur that was cast: “Therefore, they called these days `Purim’ after `pur.’” But while purim is the Hebrew plural of pur, pur itself is not a Hebrew word. For this reason, twice before in Esther, when pur is mentioned, we are told, “…pur, that is, the goral.” So a pur is a goral, but what is a goral?

In all likelihood, goral originally referred to a bunch of small pebbles or similar objects used to make decisions by chance: they would be cast down on the ground or put in a vessel of some sort, from which one would be drawn at random. (A similar practice, in which stones were placed in a helmet, is clearly documented from Homeric Greece. The Greek verb for casting these objects was ballo, from which we get our English word “ballot.”)

For example, in Leviticus 16, Aaron takes “two goats,” “a goral for God” and a “goral for Azazel.” Then the goat that God’s goral lands on is God’s goat, and the goat that Azazel’s goral lands on is Azazel’s goat; this latter goat is sent “to Azazel” in atonement. (Based on an ancient misunderstanding of the Hebrew “to Azazel,” a 1530 translation reads “to scape” instead of “to Azazel,” giving us the English phrase “scapegoat.”)

Other examples include Nehemiah (10:35): “we have cast the gorals to see who shall bring the wood offering.” In Psalms (22:17), the Psalmist laments that “they divvy up my clothes, casting a goral for my garments.” In Numbers 26, God tells Moses to divide up the land by goral. Joshua, too, draws a goral and uses it to apportion the land among the Israelites.

Goral later progressed to mean not only the item which was cast, but also that to which the victor was due. (And because real-estate was so often allocated by goral, goral also meant “real-estate” in particular.) In the meantime, presumably on the assumption that destiny or fate had something to do with who won, goral began to mean “destiny,” as well.

The English word “lot” followed exactly the same path, meaning at first a small (usually wooden) object used to make random decisions (as in “draw lots”) and then both what one received (for example, a “lot of land”) and what one is destined to receive (as in one’s “lot in life.”)

Up to this point in the story, a Hebrew goral is exactly an English “lot.”

But the authors of the Dead Sea Scrolls frequently mention goral, using it to mean “group of people” or “followers.”

In “The Rule of the Community,” a document (technically referred to as “1QS”) that describes all aspects of life in the Qumran sect, God has a goral and Belial (God’s Qumranic foe) has a goral. The priests bless those in God’s goral with a version of the priestly benediction, whereas the Levites curse those in Belial’s goral (1QS 2:2-5).

The War Scroll (“1QM”), which describes the final battle between the forces of good (“light”) and the forces of evil (“darkness”) before the “end of days,” begins with the prediction that the first attack by the sons of light will be against the goral of the sons of darkness.

If this usage of goral is akin to the English expression “to throw one’s lot in with,” God’s goral are the people who chose God, not the people that God chose.

As for pur, the word probably comes from Akkadian, which has a root pur that means “real-estate lot,” and a similar-sounding root meaning “vessel.” Perhaps Akkadian real-estate lots, too, were allocated by drawing lots. (Ibn Ezra thought the word might be Persian, but while Persian has a word pur, it means “son.”)

By curious chance, the word pur, if it were Hebrew, would have to have come from the Hebrew root p.r.r, which means “to break into crumbs.” And so in addition to reflecting our choice in God and our ancient good fortune, our early-spring holiday’s name indirectly reflects the hamentaschen we use to celebrate it.

Which in the case of Purim is just the way the cookie crumbles.

Happy Purim.

Hidden Prophecies in the Book of Esther

“Wherein the king granted the Jews…to destroy, to slay, and to cause to perish, all the power of the people…both little ones and women and to take the spoil of them for a prey.”

—Esther 8:11

“Then said Esther…let it be granted to the Jews…and let Haman’s ten sons be hanged upon the gallows. And the King commanded it so to be done…”

—Esther 9:13

Could the chilling account of the catastrophe, bloodshed, and treachery soon to befall America be concealed in the pages of a misunderstood and little suspected book of the Holy Bible? Could the riddle of modern-day Israel and the quest for global empire by its proxy, the United States, be solved simply by our heeding the prophetic warnings given in that unheralded Old Testament text?

The answer to both questions is, Yes! In the little book of Esther, I am convinced, are incredible prophetic keys of astonishing importance. For some inexplicable reason, God has hidden and imbedded these stunning prophetic truths in Esther. But beware: He who does not have eyes to see and ears to hear will be confused and will not understand; but the wise shall understand. Ask the average undiscerning Pastor or Christian what is the true meaning of Esther and he or she will surely say that Esther is simply a tale of how Jews faithful to God were saved from their enemies by the heroine Esther and her brave cousin, Mordecai. This is the Zionist and Judaizer version and interpretation.

In fact, God is neither named nor even mentioned in the entire text of the book of Esther! This is not a book about God but about the criminal acts of the Jewish people in rebellion against God.

God has shown me the little-known prophecies that are revealed in Esther. As it turns out, these prophecies are profound. Understand Esther and you will have a step-by-step guide to exactly what is to happen prophetically to America and Israel.

The Star Goddess and The God of War

First, it is necessary to realize that the name Esther stands for Star, or the Star Goddess. In Babylonia/Sumeria/Persia she was known as the goddess Astara, Astar, Ishtar or Ashtar. In Germania, her name was Ostara. In Greece, the people called her Astarte. In Babylon, she was called the Triple Goddess and her holy number was 666!

In the Bible, this Esther is seen to be a Jewish concubine, who became Queen of Persia by virtue of her great beauty, allure, and sexual charms. Esther won a contest to be the new Queen after the real Queen, Vashti, was ousted. It seems that Vashti was an upstanding moral woman who refused to parade around nude and show her body off to the drunken guests at one of the King’s brawling parties. That angered King Ahasuerus who was advised by his Court that an example must be made of Vashti, else more women might follow her virtuous example!

Now the glamorous Esther had a sly and shadowy cousin named Mordecai who cunningly advised and guided her. The name Mordecai literally means I am Marduk; Marduk was the great god of the Persians who was worshipped as Mars, fourth planet from the sun, god of war, ritual sacrifice and fire, also known as Merodach.

The Jewish duo of Esther, the Queen, and her conniving cousin, Mordecai, thus represents the idolatrous Persian deities, Ashtar, the Mother Goddess, and Marduk, the God.

Haman’s Plot to Kill the Jews

In the biblical story, the Jews who live in Persia are threatened by a Gentile named Haman, who happens to be Grand Vizier, or Governor, for the Persian King, Ahasuerus. Haman is concerned because the Jews are haughty and refuse to fit in with the Persian culture. Haman is also angered by Esther’s cousin, Mordecai. Mordecai looks down on Haman. Mordecai thinks he’s racially superior to Haman. Haman, you see, is a member of the Agagite tribe that Israel, generations before, had defeated.

Haman persuades King Ahasuerus that the Jews, being hostile and untrustworthy and hating everyone but their own race, should be put to death, and so the agreeable King allows Haman to cast lots (pur) to find an appropriate date for the killing of the nation’s entire Jewish population.

Esther’s Bloody Revenge

Mordecai, a hanger-on around the Palace grounds, found out about Haman’s plot and got Queen Esther to intervene. Esther put on perfume and made herself up beautifully. So taken with her was the King (remember the parallel story of King Herod and Salome?) that he told the sexy and gorgeous Esther that she can ask for anything in the kingdom she wants and it will be given to her.

To make a long story short, with the King’s permission, Esther overturned Haman’s edict to kill all the Jews. In its place, she got the dumbed-down King to go along with Esther’s revengeful, bloodthirsty scheme, which involved:

  1. The hanging on the gallows of Haman, enemy of the Jews.
  2. The double hanging on the gallows of Haman’s ten sons, none of whom, so far as we can tell from reading the scriptures, were guilty of any crimes.
  3. A license for the Jews to slaughter anyone whom they saw fit to murder anywhere in the Kingdom. Through this edict, a license to kill, tens of thousands of men, women, and even children were monstrously put to death simply because a Jew gave the word.
  4. The massacre of many of the workers on the Palace staff just for good measure.
  5. The taking of all the goods and properties owned by the dead victims.

According to the Bible’s book of Esther, many people in the Kingdom converted to the Jews’ religion (Babylonian Talmudism) so fearful were they of the murderous and vicious spirit of the unleashed Jews.

Interesting, too, is that harlot Queen Esther also maneuvered things so that her wily cousin, Mordecai, became Grand Vizier in place of the dead Haman. And so, he and Esther apparently ran things their way in the Kingdom with the stupid and drunken King Ahasuerus being figuratively led around by the nose.

Festival of Purim Commemorates Bloodshed

Today, in Jewish synagogues and meeting houses throughout the world, on a given day each spring, the high holy day festival of Purim is celebrated in honor of Queen Esther’s bloody accomplishments. During the festivities, Jewish children are given little triangle-shaped cookies which they eagerly bite into, imagining they are symbolically chomping off the head of their enemy, Haman.

The chief rabbis choose a living human “Haman” that all Jews can revile and hate on Purim. Twice, Saddam Hussein was chosen as the designated “Haman” for a given year.

I have much documentation in my files that, during the celebration of Purim, the liquor flows inside the synagogues, and parties go on and on, punctuated by dancing, drinking, costumes, and unrivalled reveling. Sexual orgies are commonplace, and worse things occur. There is evidence that Gentile children are kidnapped and ritually sacrificed, this being practiced by certain, especially evil Kabbalistic Jewish sects.

Purim Celebration

Purim Ordained by Jews, Not God

Now, get this! Nowhere in the Bible do we find God ordaining this wicked festival, Purim, as one of His designated Holy Days. In fact, in the book of Esther, it makes clear that it is the Jews themselves who ordained this day and who now require its celebration.

In truth, Purim is nothing less nor more than the hideous commemoration of the vile and fulsome hatred of Gentiles by the Jews. After all, the Jews’ own Holy Book, the Talmud, declares that Gentiles are but goyim (cattle) and are worthy of death. The arrogant and wicked Talmud, meanwhile, praises the Jewish race as so holy, pure, and great that even God and His angels are inferior to the intellect and wisdom of the top rabbis!

There is nothing in the Christian religion to compare with the murderous Jewish festival of Purim. Christ Jesus taught us to love our enemies and pray for them, not slaughter them and take their goods and property for spoil! Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus and His Resurrection, but we have no Purim, nor could we. The very thought of such a thing is alien to the Christian spirit.

Purim Plot Lives

Now the facts I recount here about Esther, Mordecai, and the bloodlust and treachery of these cruel people are true. But there’s more. Within the book of Esther is God’s hidden prophetic journal for what is soon to transpire for Christians everywhere on earth, if the Zionist zealots get their way.

You will be shocked to discover that there is, on earth today, a real-life Queen Esther. There also does exist, today, an actual plot to massacre and put to death, by genocidal acts, everyone on earth who refuses to go along with the Plan for a Jewish Kingdom on Earth. And there is a modern-day King Ahasuerus and his minister, Mordecai, scheming and conniving to bring the entire globe under the tight-fisted control of the mysterious Queen Esther and her Jewish conspirators.

Who will be the next designated “Haman” whose head is to be bitten off by the Jewish rebels against Christ Jesus and His people? Is it you? Is it me? Will we be cruelly sacrificed by the Zionist overlords as victims simply because of our faith in Christ Jesus? And when will the taking of Christian victims begin?

Texe Marrs has prepared an unparalleled two-hour audio series entitled, Hidden Prophecies In The Book of Esther—Blood, Empire and The Coming Purification of Planet Earth

Is the book of Esther an overlooked treasure trove of Bible prophecy? Texe Marrs closely examines the astonishing prophecies God has built into this eye-opening book. The story of Queen Esther, her cousin, Mordecai, the King of Persia, and his wife, Vashti, is a powerful allegory of what is to occur in the last days—and is happening right now! Is America “Persia?” Is Esther “Israel?” Does Mordecai represent the neocon Jews who now rule the United States behind the scenes? Do the Arabs represent Haman? Why have so many real historical events happened on the high holy day of Purim, when the Jews annually celebrate Esther and Mordecai’s victory over their enemies and their takeover of political power? If you want to know what God has in store for America, this is it!

Of course, the Catholics have their own revelations related to Queen Esther.  I am posting a portion of it here.  You can read the whole article, if you feel so inclined, by clicking the Title Link.

KeepingItCatholic – The Blog

When Sr. Lucia, the last Fatima visionary, was called into eternity on February 13, 2005, both the Catholic and mainstream media sought the significance of the date. Most sources tied-in to May 13, noting the “13” in the anniversary date of the Fatima apparitions (1917), the papal assassination attempt (1981), and the late pope’s world consecration to the Immaculate Heart (1982). Ultimately, the mainstream efforts implied that Sr. Lucia’s death was a sign that Fatima is finished. Yet when an incredible Scriptural connection to February 13th and Fatima is examined as a whole, the opposite conclusion is made: While the date of Lucia’s death is definitely a sign, it is one alerting the world that we have reached the most critical chapter of the Fatima revelations.

Heretofore, it was never noticed that the date of Sr. Lucia’s passing links to a small yellow star, worn by Our Lady of Fatima. This star is a profound symbol long recognized by tradition as the “Star of Esther.” It points to an Old Testament history called The Book of Esther, which relates the story of a Jewish queen whose intercession saved her people from annihilation. Queen Esther’s mediation allowed the ancient Hebrews “to gather themselves together, and to stand for their lives” on “the 13th day of Adar.” [1]

Until Lucia’s passing, the magnitude of “the 13th of Adar” could not be realized, even by Fatima scholars. Her death signals that, like the Jews who stood for their lives on the 13th of Adar, our own great battle against annihilation is begun. The secret significance of Lucia’s date of death has been right before our eyes all the time: It occurred exactly 40 minutes before sunset,[2] on the 13th of February[3] – in the Hebrew month of Adar.[4]

P.S. to the Message of Fatima
Thus it seems that even Lucia’s death accentuated the entire Fatima message, manifesting a kind of heavenly post-script: “Hear, O foolish people, and without understanding: who have eyes, and see not: and ears, and hear not.”[5]

In the Scriptures, the 13th day of Adar is one with historical portent. It marks the Machabees’ liberation of the Holy Land after a four-year combat; the battle throughout the Persian Empire during the reign of Esther; and the day warriors fasted before going out to war. [6] The theme becomes obvious: An epic battle of God’s ecclesia against her enemies.

Because there are no insignificancies in God’s designs, there are great reasons for the Star of Esther adorning Our Lady of Fatima. Only three years ago, its purpose was again emphasized when God willed that Lucia should leave this world on a date directing our attention to both Esther and Our Lady of Fatima.

Of Mary, There is Never Enough
Just as the star adorning Our Lady of Fatima points to The Book of Esther, so does The Book of Esther point to all of the Fatima revelations. Esther’s theme centers on secrets and revelations, suggesting that The Book of Esther is a figure type for The Apocalypse (Greek for Revelations).

The Book of Esther appears to encapsulate what Fatima highlights about both the Virgin’s and the Church’s singular office in salvation history. Esther’s Star on Our Lady’s gown directs the Church to “the history of Queen Esther, who was herself a great [figure] type of our Queen Mary!”[7]

But first, what is meant by a figure type? In its application to the whole of Scripture, an Old Testament figure type is a person, place, thing or event foreshadowing a New Testament archetype (a perfect model or type). The New Testament archetype is always greater than its Old Testament figure type.[8]

Our Lord Himself plainly alluded to Scriptural figure types when, after His Resurrection, he appeared to two disciples on the road to Emmaus. “And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded to them in all the scriptures the things that were concerning him.” Our Lord used similar words when He subsequently appeared to the apostles.[9]

So, too, “Mary appears on every page of the Old Testament,” said St. Bernard.[10] In Genesis 3:15, God Himself literally prophesied Our Lady as “the woman,” but She is foreshadowed in many figure types – including but not limited to Miriam, Sarah, the foot-shaped cloud of Mt. Carmel, Ruth, Anna, Judith, and Esther; in the Gebirah (queen mother of the Davidic kings); in the mother of the seven Machabees; in the spouse of the Canticle of Canticles, the daughter of Zion, the burning bush on Mt. Sion, the Ark of the Covenant, the Root of Jesse, the City of God, and the Temple of Jerusalem.

In The Apocalypse, the Woman (the Virgin Mary) is prefigured by a “type within type” — “woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.” [11] This woman is a type of the Church, but the eternal Church is herself a type of Mary. With these examples, one begins to see what is meant by “types within types.”

The Book of Esther, The Book of Revelations
Among the many women who are figure types of the Virgin, Esther is foremost for three reasons: she interceded for her people; her Star appears on Our Lady’s dress; and the number “13” is central to her history. Space does not permit a thorough explanation of the doctrinal depths found in The Book of Esther’s figure types. However, the following comparisons are those most pertinent to the purpose of this essay.

“What is Shekinah Glory?”

Cross laying in front of bright light.

The phrase “Shekinah glory” refers to a passage in the Bible. When King Solomon offers a sacrifice to God at the temple in 2 Chronicles 7, a fire descends from heaven and burns up the sacrifice, preventing the priests and the people of Israel from coming near. The fire is referred to in the Bible as the “Glory of the Lord,” but was later known as the Shekinah.

1Solomon and the Shekinah

The Bible doesn’t actually use the word “Shekinah” to refer to the fire that comes down from heaven to burn up Solomon’s sacrifice. The incident is referred to as the “Shekinah glory” because of the centuries of Jewish and Christian theological speculation about the meaning of this passage in the Bible. In the Jewish religion, the word “Shekinah” traditionally referred to the active presence of God. In the passage about Solomon’s sacrifice in 2 Chronicles 7, God’s power comes down from heaven to earth to accept the sacrifice, an example of God’s Shekinah or presence. The Bible refers to this fire as “the glory of the Lord.” According to “The Zondervan Encyclopedia of the Bible” by Merril C. Tenney, later Christian theologians used the same phrase to describe God’s incarnation as Jesus.

2The Immanence of God

According to “The Engendering God” by Carl A. Raschke and Susan Doughty Raschke, the word “Shekinah” comes from a word meaning “to live with.” In Jewish belief, the Shekinah is God’s immanence or intimate presence with the people of Israel. When the Bible describes God as being pleased with the people of Israel, the Shekinah is present and comes down into the temple as the fire of God’s glory. When God becomes displeased and withdraws the Shekinah, the temple of Solomon is destroyed. Christian theologians saw the birth of Christ as a sign that God’s glory or Shekinah was once again present in the world.

3The Shekinah in Jewish Mysticism

The concept of the Shekinah continued to evolve. In the Jewish system of mysticism known as the Kabbalah, God has 10 aspects or “shefiroth,” of which the Shekinah is one. Because the word “Shekinah” is a feminine noun in the Hebrew language, the Shekinah was interpreted by Kabbalists as God’s feminine aspect. Practitioners of Kabbalah interpreted the story of Adam and Eve as a story about the exile of the Shekinah from God. One of the goals of Kabbalah mysticism was to reunite God with the Shekinah.

4The Divine Feminine

The Jewish Platonist philosopher Philo linked the Shekinah with the references to “Hokhma” or God’s wisdom in the Bible. The Greek word for wisdom is “sophia,” so Gnostic and Christian mystics developed a theology of the Shekinah as a feminine personification of God’s wisdom named Sophia, sometimes identified with the Holy Spirit. Modern feminist theologians such as Elizabeth A. Johnson have promoted the concept of Sophia as a way to balance out the traditional conception of God as a masculine figure.

Shekhina

Judaism
Alternative Titles: Schechina, Shechina, Shekhinah

Shekhina, also spelled Shekhinah, Shechina, or Schechina, (Hebrew: “Dwelling,” or “Presence”), in Jewish theology, the presence of God in the world. The designation was first used in the Aramaic form, shekinta, in the interpretive Aramaic translations of the Old Testament known as Targums, and it was frequently used in the TalmudMidrash, and other postbiblical Jewish writings. In the Targums it is used as a substitute for “God” in passages where the anthropomorphism of the original Hebrew seemed likely to mislead. Thus, belief in the transcendence of God was safeguarded. In many passages Shekhina is a reverential substitute for the divine name.

In rabbinic literature the Shekhina is associated with several other religious and theological terms. It is said that the Shekhina descended on the tabernacle and on Solomon’s Temple, though it is also said that it was one of the five things lacking in the Second Temple. The glory of God that filled the tabernacle (Exodus 40:34) was thought of as a bright radiance, and the Shekhina is sometimes similarly conceived.

There is also an affinity between the Shekhina and the Holy Spirit, though the two are not identical. Both signify some forms of divine immanence, both are associated with prophecy, both may be lost because of sin, and both are connected with the study of the Torah. Certain medieval theologians viewed the Shekhina as a created entity distinct from God (the divine “light,” or “glory”).

Who Is Shechinah, And What Does She Want from My Life …

G‑d as She. The word Shechinah is feminine, and so when we refer to G‑d as the Shechinah, we say “She.” Of course, we’re still referring to the same One G‑d, just in a different modality. After all, you were probably wondering why we insist on calling G‑d “He.”  (I find it amusing that the attack the Christian for believing in the Father, Son and Holy Ghost as a Trinity.  They state that they cannot accept any concept other than GOD is ONE, yet they will teach this HOGWASH!)

Gnostic Imagery of Divispane Mother Sophia – The Holy Spirit …

They named this Divine Mother as Holy Spirit and saw the dove as her emissary: at the baptism of Jesus, it was the Divine Mother who spoke to her son. The imagery and mythology of the Divine Mother in Gnosticism is so similar to her later imagery as the Shekinah of Kabbalah that they seem to belong to one and the same tradition.

The idea of the “Divine Feminine” goes all the way back to the first Pagan Doctrines.

The nature of Barbēlō

Nag Hammadi Library

In the Apocryphon of John, a tractate in the Nag Hammadi Library containing the most extensive recounting of the Sethian creation myth, the Barbēlō is described as “the first power, the glory, Barbēlō, the perfect glory in the aeons, the glory of the revelation”. All subsequent acts of creation within the divine sphere (save, crucially, that of the lowest aeon Sophia) occurs through her coaction with God. The text describes her thus:

This is the first thought, his image; she became the womb of everything, for it is she who is prior to them all, the Mother-Father, the first man (Anthropos), the holy Spirit, the thrice-male, the thrice-powerful, the thrice-named androgynous one, and the eternal aeon among the invisible ones, and the first to come forth.

Barbēlō is found in other Nag Hammadi writings:

  • Allogenes makes reference to a Double Powerful Invisible Spirit, a masculine female virgin, who is the Barbēlō.
  • The Holy Book of the Great Invisible Spirit refers to a divine emanation called ‘Mother’, who is also identified as the Barbēlō.
  • The Gospel of JudasJudas Iscariot says to Jesus that he knows that Jesus is from the immortal realm of Barbēlō.
  • Marsanes—several places.
  • Melchizedek—twice, the second time in a prayer of Melchizedek: “Holy are you, Holy are you, Holy are you, Mother of the aeons, Barbelo, for ever and ever, Amen.”
  • The Three Steles of Seth offers a description of “the first aeon, male virginal Barbelo, the first glory of the invisible Father, she who is called ‘perfect’.”
  • Trimorphic Protennoia (‘First Thought in Three Forms’), even in the first person: “He perpetuated the Father of all Aeons, who am I, the Thought of the Father, Protennoia, that is, Barbelo, the perfect Glory, and the immeasurable Invisible One who is hidden. I am the Image of the Invisible Spirit, and it is through me that the All took shape, and (I am) the Mother (as well as) the Light which she appointed as Virgin, she who is called ‘Meirothea’, the incomprehensible Womb, the unrestrainable and immeasurable Voice.”
  • Zostrianos—the aeon Barbēlō is referred to in many places.

Pistis Sophia

In the Pistis Sophia Barbēlō is named often, but her place is not clearly defined. She is one of the gods, “a great power of the Invisible God” (373), joined with Him and the three “Thrice-powerful deities” (379), the mother of Pistis Sophilight” or heavenly body (13, 128; cf. 116, 121); the earth apparently is the “matter kishan choure of Barbēlō” (128) or the “place of Barbēlō” (373).

In patristic texts

She is obscurely described by Irenaeus as “a never-aging aeon in a virginal spirit”, to whom, according to certain “Gnostici”, the Innominable Father wished to manifest Himself, and who, when four successive beings, whose names express thought and life, had come forth from Him, was quickened with joy at the sight, and herself gave birth to three (or four) other like beings.

She is noticed in several neighbouring passages of Epiphanius, who in part must be following the Compendium of Hippolytus, as is shown by comparison with Philaster (c. 33), but also speaks from personal knowledge of the Ophitic sects specially called “Gnostici” (i. 100 f.). The first passage is in the article on the Nicolaitans (i. 77 f.), but is apparently an anticipatory reference to their alleged descendants the “Gnostici” (77 A; Philast.). According to their view Barbēlō lives “above in the eighth heaven“; she had been ‘put forth’ (προβεβλῆσθαι) “of the Father”; she was mother of Yaldabaoth (some said, of Sabaoth), who insolently took possession of the seventh heaven, and proclaimed himself to be the only God; and when she heard this word she lamented. She was always appearing to the Archons in a beautiful form, that by beguiling them she might gather up her own scattered power.

Others, Epiphanius further seems to say (78 f.), told a similar tale of Prunikos, substituting Caulacau for Yaldabaoth. In his next article, on the “Gnostici”, or Borborites (83 C D), the idea of the recovery of the scattered powers of Barbēlō recurs as set forth in an apocryphal Book of NoriaNoah‘s legendary wife.

For Noah was obedient to the archon, they say, but Noria revealed the powers on high and Barbelo, the scion of the powers—the opposite of the archon, as the other powers are. And she intimated that what has been taken from the Mother on High by the archon who made the world, and others with him—gods, demons, and angels—must be gathered from the power in the bodies, through the male and female emissions.

In both places Epiphanius represents the doctrine as giving rise to sexual libertinism. Mircea Eliade has compared these Borborite beliefs and practices involving Barbēlō to Tantricrituals and beliefs, noting that both systems have a common goal of attaining primordial spiritual unity through eroticbliss and the consumption of menses and semen.[2]

In a third passage (91 f.), enumerating the Archons said to have their seat in each heaven, Epiphanius mentions as the inhabitants of the eighth or highest heaven “her who is called Barbēlō”, and the self-gendered Father and Lord of all things, and the virgin-born (αὐτολόχευτον) Christ (evidently as her son, for according to Irenaeus her first progeny, “the Light”, was called Christ); and similarly he tells how the ascent of souls through the different heavens terminated in the upper region, “where Barbēro or Barbēlō is, the Mother of the Living” (Genesis 3:20).

Theodoret (H. F. f. 13) merely paraphrases Irenaeus, with a few words from Epiphanius. Jerome several times includes Barbēlō in lists of portentous names current in Spanish heresy, that is, among PriscillianistsBalsamus and Leusibora being three times associated with it (Ep. 75 c. 3, p. 453 c. Vall.; c. Vigil. p. 393 A; in Esai. lxvi. 4 p. 361 c; in Amos iii. 9 p. 257 E).

Babel

Babel, in the book of “Baruch” of the Gnostic Justin, the name of the first of the twelve “maternal angels” born to Elohim and Edem (HippHaer. v. 26, p. 151). She is identical with Aphrodite, and is enjoined by her mother to cause adulteries and desertions among men, in revenge for Edem’s desertion by Elohim (p. 154). When Heracles is sent by Elohim as “a prophet of the uncircumcision” to overcome “the twelve evil angels of the creation,” i. e. the maternal angels, Babel, now identical with Omphale, beguiles and enfeebles him (p. 156; x. 15, p. 323). She may possibly be the Baalti or female Baal of various Semitic nations, though the intrusive β is not easily explained. But it is on the whole possible to take Babel, “confusion” (JosephAnt. i. 4, § 3), as a form of Barbēlō, which may have the same meaning. The eclecticism of Justin would account for his deposition of Barbēlō from the first to the second place, where she is still above Hachamoth.

Do not fall for the deception!  Do NOT BLASPHEME the HOLY SPIRIT!

I’m going to be having a loose discussion on the identity of the Gnostic Sophia. If you’re a Christian who has been tricked into believing Sophia is the Holy Spirit, please listen to this. I think I managed to avoid ranting.

Goddess movement – Wikipedia

Since the 1970s, Goddess Spirituality has emerged as a recognizable international cultural movement.[11] In 1978 Carol P. Christ‘s widely reprinted essay “Why Women Need the Goddess,”[12] which argues in favor of the concept of there having been an ancient religion of a supreme goddess, was presented as the keynote address to an audience of over 500 at the “Great Goddess Re-emerging” conference at the University of California, Santa Cruz;[13] it was first published in The Great Goddess Issue of Heresies: A Feminist Publication on Art and Politics (1978).[14] Carol P. Christ also co-edited the classic feminist religion anthologies Weaving the Visions: New Patterns in Feminist Spirituality (1989) and Womanspirit Rising (1979/1989); the latter included her essay “Why Women Need the Goddess.”[12]

Here I’m going to give you revelation on what the Word and Spirit DIVA means biblically, naturally, and spiritually. The Word DIVA comes from the Latin Word “deus” meaning god. which is also where the name “devil” derived from. The Italian word DIVA means goddess. The prefix DIVA is short for the word divination.

How interesting the rise of the DIVA exactly coincides with the rise of Witchcraft.

1 Of The Most Feminist Women Of The Bible

Esther

Esther is one of two women with a book of the Bible named for her. She also risks her own life to more or less single-handedly save the entire Jewish people. According to the Bible, Esther was a Jewish girl living in the Persian Empire and raised by her cousin Mordecai. When the emperor divorces his wife and tries to find another from among the beautiful women in the kingdom, Esther catches his eye, but doesn’t tell him that she’s Jewish.

Not long after, her cousin Mordecai provokes the wrath of the king’s prime minister, Haman, who then hatches a plan to kill all the Jewish people in the Persian Empire. Esther then defies Persian law by presenting herself to the king without being summoned. She tells the king that she is Jewish and that Haman wants to kill her an her people. The Jews are saved, Haman is punished, and Esther establishes a memorial celebration that becomes the festival of Purim, which is still celebrated today.

So basically, Esther was a badass who, instead of sitting by and playing it safe used her power to advocate for others, stood up for her people, saved countless lives, and forever changed Judaism.

Modern Day Queen Esthers: Jewish Women Impacting the World

Today, Jews across the world will be going to synagogue to hear the story of Jewish redemption, excitingly, at the hands of a woman. Considered one of the seven prophetesses and the savior of the Jewish people on Purim, the story of Queen Esther is known across Jewish culture and beyond.

As a people we must always ask the question of what we can learn from these biblical stories that are so far away from modern times. In celebration of this holiday, of international women’s day, and in the spirit of this question, here is a list of five modern day Jewish women who are saving us as they change and contribute to the world in their own way.

1. Gal Gadot
A native born Israeli, Gal has gained worldwide recognition for her work as Wonder Woman. While she was in other films before, most notably The Fast and the Furious franchise, she gained world renown for her outstanding performance as Wonder Woman in the Justice League movies. However it wasn’t just her performance that endeared her to audiences worldwide, it was her personality; her honesty, her straightforward and open nature. She has also been transparent about the work it took leading up to being able to perform her role as the superhero, and the fact that she was able to do a lot of the stunts and martial arts herself left audiences impressed. Gal is not shy about where she comes from; she is a proud Israeli. In her interviews and on her Instagram she represents the modern, Jewish, Israeli women to the world. She has also spoken out against the treatment of women in Hollywood and in the workplace. She’s now pioneering her own projects involving strong, Jewish women and giving them, and us, representation in the world. She’s a real live superhero.

2. Sheryl Sandberg

Sheryl Sandberg is a name recognized the world over. In her role as COO of Facebook she has not only survived, but thrived in a world and role typically filled with and by men. She brought us the phrase “lean in.” She showed us how to carry on in the face of adversity, both in personal and professional circumstances. She is the embodiment of the modern working mom, trying to be there for her kids, while running one of the biggest companies in the world – and she’s a single mom to boot. Facebook is known as a family-friendly company. With her leading the way having children even before The Zuck did, she paved the way for the family-friendly policy that Facebook now typifies. She is a rockstar at her job and she’s also a rockstar mom. She symbolizes the everywoman trying to balance work and career and figuring it all out along the way. She’s another Jewish superhero.

3. Ruth Bader Ginsburg

No list of modern Jewish superwomen, someone personifying the modern-day Esther, would be complete without the beloved and notorious RBG. Now a feminist icon, previously a Jewish mom and bubbie, she has been on the Supreme Court of the United States for 26 years. She has been part of landmark cases such as United States v. Virginia where women were granted the right to attend the all-male Virginia Military Institute. She authored the first law school casebook on sex discrimination. She also notably wrote the dissent view for important cases such as Ledbetter v. Goodyear. She has not been afraid to be who she is: a woman, a judge, a mother, a Jew, and above all else a person who sticks to their morals and values whether they are shared by everyone or no one. Now at the age of 86, she also has endearingly shared with the world her workouts with her personal trainer and how she stays fit and Supreme Court Bench ready everyday. Maybe she’d be better compared to the prophetess Devorah, who served as a judge to the Jewish people, as opposed to Queen Esther, but either way no one can deny the enduring power of this real live super-Jewish- judge-bubbie.

4. Beatie Deutsch

Beatie is what we would call in Hebrew a Haredi woman. In other words she is Ultra-Orthodox. She is also a mother of five and is the new face of women’s running. Since taking up running a mere 4 years ago Beatie has won and set records in marathons consistently. She has beat long professional women runners and men as well. Running with a full hair covering and modest clothing, she outpaces the competition, perhaps just sweating a bit more. She recently achieved world ranking after her marathon in Cape Town, South Africa. Her dream and her goal is to represent Israel in the Olympics this summer in Tokyo. This dream unfortunately may not come to fruition, as a change in the date of the women’s marathon was just announced. It was originally supposed to take place on a Sunday, but has now been moved to a Saturday. As an Ultra-Orthodox Jew, Beatie will not be able to compete on shabbat which has really devastated her. However, in a true show of strength, she has spoken out and said that while she dreams of going to the Olympics, the most important thing is her training and getting better for herself every time. That statement alone makes her worthy of this list, but she also makes us proud representing Judaism in a whole different light and arena. Go Beatie go!

5. Judy Blume

Judy Blume feels kind of like an oldie. but a goodie. She is someone who is timeless, even at the age of 82. Judy Blume changed the face of young adult novels by writing in a way that made her sound like a kid, and therefore her novels and stories were/are so relatable. Now, at a time when teenagers and young adults are crying out that movies and books do not actually portray the teenage experience, Ms. Blume, who is now giving her own Master class, seems to be more relevant than ever. Bloom is quoted as saying that what she does is not writing, it’s telling a story, and she’s telling it from inside the mind of the protagonist. The younger generation of authors whose works our youth feel are unrelatable, could take a page from her book (pun intended). Bloom was the first to write about so-called taboo topics including puberty, divorce and teenage relationships. Even more amazingly, she tackled these topics at a time while others were still shying away from them, and she continues to do so. She is still paving the way for those who have come after her. May she do so for a long time to come.

Queen Esther didn’t just save the Jewish people, she also changed the way we were perceived in the world. In that light we can certainly compare her to all the women on this list. They too are shining examples of what we can accomplish when we live with purpose and with values. In that way we can all save the world.

Purim Sameach!

Though we can obviously glean some great lessons and encouragement from the story of Esther.  I am inclined to believe that it was created by Rabbinical/Talmudic/Kabbalist Jews.  There is no evidence that it was included in the inspired WORD of GOD.  The Dead Sea Scrolls contained all the other books…but NOT the book of Esther.

Books of the Bible included in the Dead Sea Scrolls

QUESTION: Books of the Bible included in the Dead Sea Scrolls – How many of the Bible’s books are represented?

ANSWER:

Thirty-eight of the thirty-nine books of the Protestant Old Testament are represented among the Dead Sea Scrolls. None of the 27 books of the New Testament have been conclusively identified. There has been some speculation that some very small, very fragmented pieces of scroll are from the New Testament; four fragments from Mark and one each from Acts, Romans, 1 Timothy, and James. This view is not generally accepted by scroll scholars however, and remains a fringe theory.

The books of the Old Testament are included among the Dead Sea Scrolls, with only the book of Esther missing. The portions of the books of the Bible that are included are for the most part very fragmentary, with one notable exception being the Great Isaiah Scroll. Nevertheless, the fragments that we have are sufficient to teach scholars a great deal about the transmission and integrity of the text over thousands of years.

Esther
is the only Old Testament book not found in the scrolls among the more than 900 scrolls, and over 200 copies of Old Testament books. Some books of the Bible had dozens of copies.
